Yes it was. As I originally though it weird Robyn asking for money because her brother had adopted a baby was weird.

It's just not done, collecting in a work for a person who doesn't work their (charity collection or fund raising aside). Even if a person used to work there, there would never be a general put it in an envelope collection.

However, Casualty isn't too well know for it's realism on staff behaviour. It would be weird if it was realistic at this stage 😄

It's a bit odd that considering Jade has been deaf from birth that she has perfect speech. Normally aren't they like her mum was portrayed?

I originally thought this ages ago however I have read (and seen it on a programme about deaf people) that this is a misconception. Some people can speak well and you wouldn't know they were deaf from their speech.
No experience but I definitely read or saw it

I can't help but wonder how the mum was planning on communicating with Jade if she didn't know she could sign (unless I missed something which is quite possible!)

I know she wasn't clear but I could still tell what the mum was saying a lot of the time so it's possible

Also Jade's not profoundly deaf - she's hearing impaired but that doesn't always impact speech. The actor who plays her has the same type of deafness that the character's supposed to have.

I’ve just watched about 3-4 episodes as I wasn’t aware Casualty was back on our screens and so I’ve just had a lovely little binge catching up on it

It was nice having some focus on Jade - I enjoy watching her sign and it’s always good to raise awareness of the condition.

Another one here who can’t believe Charlie is back working.

I’ve never taken to Fenisha and her little outburst to Jan was unbelievable. Can you imagine someone talking to their boss like that after only a few months of being in post?! I’m not sure why she hasn’t just told Ethan the truth seeing as she’s not exactly going to be able to hide it is she?! I look forward to seeing the storyline unravel especially in relation to him having to disclose his Huntington’s when Fenisha eventually comes clean. Or maybe she will confide in Will and he will tell her about Ethan’s condition.

I can’t make out what they’re going to do with the Faith and Dylan storyline as it comes across that Faith and Lev are happy together so I can’t see how an affair storyline is going to manifest?

I also agree about the strangeness of Connie’s niceness and also the strangeness of David’s wife and son seeming to have disappeared.

There was a point where I also wondered if there were sparks between Connie and Jacob.....
