Thought better start a thread as no one else had

Next sat looks good - with poor ruby struggling to juggle work and harmony

And matty pushes jade to the limit

I don't think they've run out of episodes.
On the Facebook page they've posted that there's no Casualty this week and they'll be back soon.
I take from that that there's still episodes left they're just spacing them out still

stuckindoors77 · 06/06/2020 17:02

I wonder if that's why Holby has come back on this week, so viewers of both have one or the other

Yes I've read things before that have implied that they're spacing them out to avoid both going off air for a protracted period. I wonder when filming will be allowed to start again? There'll be no romantic scenes for a while will there?

WhatICallMyUsername · 07/06/2020 08:38

I think Coronation Street are starting filming again but not allowing anyone shielding or over 70 back yet. So that would rule Charlie out lol

stuckindoors77 · 07/06/2020 08:43

I wonder if Corrie will make reference to the lockdown and have episodes where they all shout to each other from their doorsteps and sit on the wall outside to Rovers instead of going in?Grin

DivGirl · 13/06/2020 17:44

BBC Casualty page is saying "There are no upcoming broadcasts of this programme"

I'm so sad.

EoinMcLovesCakeJumper · 07/07/2020 16:18

Episode coming this Saturday. It seems like it's going to be mostly Jade-focused, with a bit of Dylan/Faith, and a smattering of Sadface Charlie.

Optimist1 · 07/07/2020 17:04

@EoinMcLovesCakeJumper thanks for the heads up!

RJnomore1 · 07/07/2020 17:16

Yayyyyyyy

My Saturday nights have been barren wastelands of misery

Can not wait!

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/07/2020 14:21

I had better watch the last one as still on planner

Finally seen. Maybe 6w late

So Charlie is back. No one cheered or said welcome back after Connie announced it

Will be obvious soon that F is preg and she lied

Poor Dylan. He always falls for the wrong person but faith doesn’t help the situation either

Hope they don’t break her and lev up

And back to Charlie. He must have retired by now - why keep him
There

One on tonight!!

PenelopePitstop49 · 11/07/2020 19:40

The scheduling of this has done my head in.

I'm seriously in love with Dylan. I hope Faith isn't going to break his heart again.........

CopperBeeches · 12/07/2020 01:19

I liked that episode.

Optimist1 · 12/07/2020 07:28

Poor Jade. Very well acted, and I thought the sound effects made a good point without being intrusive (unlike the Deaf Ben portrayal in EastEnders). I hadn't realised the way Deaf people were treated in the recent past. Angry

CherryValanc · 12/07/2020 10:17

That was a good episode. Poor Jade, the actress did a very good job didn't she.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 12/07/2020 10:21

Dylan deserves a 'happy ever after' storyline. His last love affair was very messy wasn't it (and he went off on a 'bender')?

That was a good episode centred on Jade. I am guessing though that she is going to inadvertently tangled up in the Dylan/Faith storyline (if you noticed the short scene where she was lip-reading their brief exchange)?

spiderlight · 12/07/2020 10:21

@Optimist1 - scarily recent. About 20 years ago my then-boyfriend had a little nephew who was deaf and whose parents absolutely refused to let him learn to sign. I only met him and his (terrifying) mum once and it broke my heart. I hope he found the Deaf community eventually.

CherryValanc · 12/07/2020 10:25

Can someone remind me what happened between Dylan and Faith? I feel like I don't recall correctly.

EoinMcLovesCakeJumper · 12/07/2020 10:43

After they were caught up in the siege together, and Dylan was hopped up on painkillers, he told Faith how he felt about her. I think Lev turned up shortly afterwards so Faith didn't have a chance to answer.

The actress who plays Jade has the same kind of deafness that the character has. She does a great job of showing how it affects her. I remember reading a novel a while ago about a deaf character who refused to learn sign language as a point of pride, like it was giving in to being deaf. I think that attitude was quite common not too long ago. I can see that being able to lip read is essential too, because most people you encounter in day to day life can't sign, but the stigma around it is difficult to understand. I'm glad things seem to have changed now.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 12/07/2020 10:51

I didn't really catch what they briefly said to each other last night (too busy 'clocking' Jade lip-reading their exchange) but it was a bit 'snappy'?

Auldspinster · 12/07/2020 13:59

Faith asked if they could talk and Dylan said he thought it best if they kept a bit of distance.

I was a bitHmm at Jade being asked to chip in for Max and Zòe, two people she's never met.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 12/07/2020 14:23

Thanks @Auldspinster.

Yes, you're right about Robyn asking for a contribution for a present. With Zoe being a hard-up doctor (not) too... Mind you, quite refreshing in a way that they've not been entirely forgotten about by the show script-writers (does it signal that they might be writing them back in?).

spiderlight · 12/07/2020 15:35

I think it was just a way to drop their names in and the news about the baby. I'd be happy if Max came back though!

CherryValanc · 12/07/2020 16:23

Well that shows I need to use subtitles. I thought Robyn said her brother. Which seemed really weird - couldn't understand why she'd be getting her colleagues to contribute to a present for her unheard-of-before brother's baby.

EoinMcLovesCakeJumper · 12/07/2020 17:08

Max was her brother, wasn't he? I get confused about all the past relationships in this show.
