Shock

I hadn’t even thought of CV affecting soap productions! What will we do without EE?

Chances are high that at least 1 cast or crew will get CV and everyone in contact with them will have to self isolate.

iknowimcoming · 14/03/2020 21:33

Was wondering this earlier - how far ahead do they film? I guess we will all have to go back to the start and watch from the beginning again Sad

JuanSheetIsPlenty · 14/03/2020 21:41

Maybe classic EE will have caught up with current EE by the time they’re re broadcasting again! Grin

NoisyBrain · 14/03/2020 21:45

I think they film 6 weeks in advance, but occasionally slot in a quickly filmed scene to refer to something happening 'now'. It's only a matter of time til we see a scene like that to mention CV surely. It's probably giving the writers a lot to think about!

BettyBooJustDoinTheDoo · 14/03/2020 23:38

I said a while back how disturbing I find the way women are portrayed as victims, now it’s got even worse and I did not think that was possible, the scriptwriters really hate women. If Chantelle is ‘saved’ by a man I may have to go all ‘points of view’ signed disgruntled of Mumsnetshire.

Mrsjayy · 15/03/2020 09:16

They only filmed The boat 2 or 3 weeks before broadcast .

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 15/03/2020 14:52

I thought one of the kitchen knives in Chantelle's kitchen was missing (there seemed to be a gap)

I really wanted there to be a blood stained knife in her hand when we saw her reaching up to grasp the kitchen worktop.........but Grey was already in the pub by then (un touched)

Now he knows it was Mitch who phoned his work to find out he was suspended will Chan be waiting at home with a weapon?

Mrsjayy · 15/03/2020 15:02

Wasn't she preparing dinner before he attacked ?

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 15/03/2020 15:09

Wasn't she preparing dinner before he attacked ?

Ooh she probably was , in which case the knife would've been nearby . (She could've claimed self defence but she is desperately trying to hide the abuse )

Mrsjayy · 15/03/2020 15:51

I think he is too calculated to stab her but I wonder where he was going when Karen collared him

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 15/03/2020 19:12

They couldn't have Chantelle stabbing Gray after what's happened to Whitney, surely?

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 15/03/2020 20:37

No she's too afraid of him and if he did survive he would say she had malice aforethought .

But something has to happen . Even if it turns out that she works for The Panaseers and they find out and take revenge on her behalf .

Eastenders isn't afraid of tackling really serious life issues . But there have been enough deaths in Albert Square surely ?

Namethecat · 15/03/2020 21:06

With regard to 'prison life's for Whitney , I work in a prison, Scrambled eggs on toast for breakfast with orange juice - nope. You get a breakfast pack the night before. A small packet of cereal, a small carton of milk , a roll wrapped in cellophane and a portion of marg . Certainly no regular room service !

EmeraldShamrock · 15/03/2020 22:56

@Namethecat Thanks for clarifying. I was beginning to think prison would be a nice break, served freshly cooked meals, room to yourself, no DC Grin

Mrsjayy · 16/03/2020 20:21

Thank you for claryfing whitney isnt at Butlins Grin why is she is a cell of her own namethecat I am assuming just for plot

catinb0oots · 16/03/2020 20:41

Lol Easters is the best. As if all top cut throat lawyers walk around a contaminated crime scene, tapping various bits of furniture and clutching their head crying "THINK, THINK"

catinb0oots · 16/03/2020 20:41

You could not make it up (unless you were a shit EE writer ofc)

gingercat02 · 16/03/2020 20:54

PMSL Gray the legal eagle eyes

EmeraldShamrock · 16/03/2020 21:04

Gray a detective lawyer combo. Poor Keegan is having a shit time.

Spidey66 · 16/03/2020 23:09

WRT the women in Albert Square getting pregnant after being told it was unlikely....

I've been watching EE since it started and am convinced years ago Sharon was told it was unlikely she could have kids after a termination went wrong. She then went on to have Denny the devil child. Ok, her fertility was reduced, not stopped. But then to have a baby in her late 40s when most women's fertility is drastically reduced? So she's had 2 kids after being told it was unlikely, the 2nd at an unlikely age for even the most fertile of women!

Spidey66 · 16/03/2020 23:10

Too many unlikely's there. Sorry.

SoupDragon · 17/03/2020 07:14

Clearly Whitney needs an eye test - she's been staring at that ceiling for weeks and even saw plaster dust on her bed. Should have gone to Specsavers.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 17/03/2020 07:22

That made me laugh @SoupDragon!!!!

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 17/03/2020 07:24

Whitney isn't the sharpest tool though, is she? And caught up in depression possibly wouldn't have noticed that type of small thing. She was very preoccupied.

BTW did you notice the amazing array of fabrics and threads in her room - it looked like the JL haberdashery department on a micro scale.

dogsdinnerlady · 17/03/2020 07:40

Even if Gray solves the crime and gets Whit off he still can't redeem himself can he? Will be a hero to whole Square though.
