Back on BBC iPlayer on Monday at 7.00pm.

Bittersweet as it will be the final series, and will also incorporate a tribute to Slugs / Michael Sleggs.

And not forgetting the minor injuries episode where Mandy pretends kurtan just insulted her mother Grin

Theroigne · 29/02/2020 08:34

I actually cried during the minor injuries one when the vicar and Kurtin picked Kerry up off the field and Kerry shouted “oi Vicar! You’ve got your finger up me asshole!” I don’t know why it was so funny - probably the high probability of it mistakenly happening on such an occasion combined with the sheer inappropriateness Grin

The80sweregreat · 29/02/2020 09:06

Mandy winding Kurtan up about her 'mum 'being insulted! The vicar arguing with the traffic warden. Kerry ringing everyone to tell them her leg was like ' breadsticks'! ' spread the word' !
The idea of Jesus ' looking in his fridge' for extra food made me laugh. It's the delivery that is so spot on.

The80sweregreat · 29/02/2020 09:27

Some people hated ' the office' which I found hilarious!
I think you either 'get it ' or you don't with this type of humour. They do have a great cast though.
When Kerry has an England shirt on with four lions instead of 3! ' what's the song Kerry ' .. her face!

The80sweregreat · 29/02/2020 11:03

' I knew about June , but I didn't tell you as I knew you'd react like this!'
All that angst over a garden.
I Wonder how they cope with really bad news? 😂

CaptainMyCaptain · 29/02/2020 11:21

Daisy and Charlie were on the Last Leg last night. Apparently the show has been sold to America and she was asked how she thought it would translate there - she said she didn't care as long as she got the money. Pure Kerry!

DobbyLovesSocks · 29/02/2020 12:27

@CaptainMyCaptain ooh thanks - I'll watch that later (whilst I'm sewing my quilt)

Mooserp · 29/02/2020 14:17

Hazard the dog!

megletthesecond · 29/02/2020 17:25

Just starting on series 1, episode 2.

I may have snorted quite a lot at "he's DEAD!" .

The80sweregreat · 29/02/2020 17:33

I can't believe I found a few on series one I hadn't seen before! When Kerry is channelling her inner Deborah Meadon and trying to sell green vitality drinks!
I thought I was a fan , so how I missed them I don't know!
It was an unexpected treat.

MortyFide · 29/02/2020 17:38

Oh staaaahp, I'm wheezing all over again at these quotes listed in one place. DH keeps calling me parsnip pubes.

One of my favourite lines is when they appeared in court about the stolen Dysons and Kurtan is ranting about the inaccuracy of the court artist's depiction of them.

"Look at your chin, you look like you're wearing an airline pillow the wrong way round."

I do sometimes get a bit choked about how horrible Kerry's father is and how oblivious she is that he treats her so terribly. Loved that Kurtan got her the soda stream for her birthday and made out that her dad got it for her by forging the card.

CodenameVillanelle · 29/02/2020 18:01

I'm laughing out loud just remembering the court artists drawings Grin

GCAcademic · 29/02/2020 20:45

@megletthesecond

I may have snorted quite a lot at "he's DEAD!"

Mr Perkins is actually a former teacher of Daisy and Charlie’s and is still alive, kicking and teaching at their old school. He is apparently really quite fed up with pupils chanting “he’s dead, he’s dead,, he’s dead, he’s deaaad” down the corridors after him!

I absolutely loved the driving lesson episode. One of the best I think. Kurtan's fury about June has her garden......"I beg your pardon!" Just so so funny.

SlothRider · 29/02/2020 20:57

"and" not has

EmmaC78 · 29/02/2020 21:33

I agree, driving lesson is definitely one of the best episode. Every scene was comedy genius. My other favourite episodes are Mandy and Threatening Letters.

Theroigne · 29/02/2020 22:15

I’ll just leave this here... (screenshot for my sil a few months ago who has same humour as me)

CodenameVillanelle · 29/02/2020 23:26

Oh my goodness thank you Grin

SlothRider · 01/03/2020 07:32

@EmmaC78 good choices! I also love double dinners and the vicar's son episodes.

Grandadwasthatyou · 01/03/2020 10:35

I cannot believe I didn't know about the existence of this programme until I saw this thread.
Have now sat over a few days binge watching. Priceless.

Some help needed though! Watched Family Loyalties ( series 2 episode 6) where Kerry's Dad persuades her to tell the police she was responsible for the stolen Dysons. It ends with her walking into the police station and asking to see the officer in charge.
But then the next episode which comes up automatically on my series link is Series 3 episode 1 when Slugs has died. Should there be another episode covering the aftermath of Kerry's admission to the police? I would imagine there should be an episode 7 but where is it?

GCAcademic · 01/03/2020 10:39

Grandadwasthatyou - there was a one-off special dealing with the aftermath (called "The Aftermath" Grin). It's on the iplayer, within the season 2 videos.

Grandadwasthatyou · 01/03/2020 10:39

@Theroigne .. see my request above. What episode is that please?

Grandadwasthatyou · 01/03/2020 10:44

@GCAcademic..thank you. I was driving myself mad going backwards and forwards trying to work out where it was.
I shall keep that back as have watched them all now and will need something to look forward to.
My favourite " clunk click, suck my dick" and then she looks at the camera. Comedy gold ( although my dp doesn't get it at all)

Rosalo · 01/03/2020 12:16

Oh thank you thank you thank you. I had totally missed the aftermath

The80sweregreat · 01/03/2020 13:46

I find that people that 'don't get it' tend to be more into dramas or less subtle / innuendo type humour.
I loved it when Daisy said on the 'one show 'that one of the ladies in the village told her ' I hate your show!' and kept blocking the road with her car! It shows they are not scared of criticism and realise it's not everyone's cup of tea.
I'm sad it's the last series and I hope they pop up in other things! They are very talented.
