Back on BBC iPlayer on Monday at 7.00pm.

Bittersweet as it will be the final series, and will also incorporate a tribute to Slugs / Michael Sleggs.

After her massive 'order' ;
Vicar ; ' I'm not going in the bakery too, Kerry '
' some people are so selfish'..

Growingboys · 26/02/2020 14:20

Best telly ever

Encyclo · 26/02/2020 14:34

"I'm not going to the bakery Kerry"
"Then just get me a triple sandwich from the shelves"

I actually relate to this 😂

The80sweregreat · 27/02/2020 18:58

I made dh watch it! He only smiled at the car reversing! He is clearly not in tune with me on the spoof comedy front. I don't think he gets it to be honest.

AnyFucker · 27/02/2020 21:55

My husband falls asleep while watching it.

Mind you, he is asleep on the sofa from 9pm no matter what 😄

EmmaC78 · 27/02/2020 22:01

My husband falls asleep while watching it.

That's grounds for divorce.

AnyFucker · 27/02/2020 22:07

I know. I shall LTB forthwith Smile

My Dh laughed at the corner of a muller corner story, the rest he wasn't even cracking a smile.

WTF?

ChewChewIsMySpiritAnimal · 28/02/2020 07:07

I love this country. I've lost count of how many times I've rewatched it. The squawk kerry makes when kurtan brakes and she chokes on the seatbelt Grin i just think the pair of them are genius. The way that real life inflections, little sidelong glances, little things so perfectly observed. The driving lesson one was one of the best.

CaptainMyCaptain · 28/02/2020 07:41

I also love the trailer where she says she's never actually watched the documentary because she's just not into that sort of thing. Kurtan's face is priceless.

Ledkr · 28/02/2020 07:49

The last one was my favourite
We live nearby too and it's spot on. I lived in a village near to where it's filmed and the houses look the same
Daisy and Charlie are really friendly and normal if you see them in town. They just say hello and pose for pictures if asked (not by me)
So humble Grin

rosegoldwatcher · 28/02/2020 11:34

Have, this week, watched them all again from the first episode. I love it!
The most funny bits for me are Kerry's gormless looks to camera and her interactions with the invisible Sue.
"Fer Faffle!"
"Mum, my crumpets don't have no holes!"
"Ter-mar-toe!"

The80sweregreat · 28/02/2020 11:41

'She's having double dinners' ..
I player have them on all at the moment.
Kerry is an odd mix of wise head and totally selfish. Mandy is my favourite character of all time : she is comedy gold.

minou123 · 28/02/2020 12:30

One of my favourite quotes:

Kerry on security at the village hall:
"Just to let you know, I changed all the light-bulbs in the toilets to UV, so if we get any smackheads tonight, they won't be able to see their veins when they're shooting up."

It's so funny. This is at a Grease Night at the village hall Grin

The80sweregreat · 28/02/2020 16:12

I watched ' random acts of kindness' again today. Kerry's speech about the light bulbs and searching folk at the church hall was funny! The vicar in his loud suit. He is another great character.
She likes the idea of doing great deeds but doesn't expect people to actually want to keep them ( like Slug with her PlayStation) !
I'm glad I'm watching some again ; I've forgotten so much.
She is awful , but I can't hate her or him.

Theroigne · 28/02/2020 20:29

80s: she wasn’t funny about Slugs actually wanting the console; I think her issue was that he didn’t seem to want it enough and therefore seemed ungrateful! Grin

EmmaC78 · 28/02/2020 20:34

I watched ' random acts of kindness' again today.

I'll tell you what is a random act of kindness. You scooping the shite out of your knickers before putting them in the wash. Grin

DobbyLovesSocks · 28/02/2020 21:24

I love This Country. I grew up very near to the cotswolds and knew people like that. Will be gutted when it finishes

CaptainMyCaptain · 28/02/2020 21:43

I recognise that type of rural council house from living in Berkshire. They seemed smaller inside than they looked from the outside.

Mooserp · 28/02/2020 21:54

Funniest thing I've seen in a long time and I'm sniggering all over again reading this thread.

Love the idea of a sarcastic Jesus 😆

happilybemused · 29/02/2020 06:41

We all have our faults. Jesus was massively sarcastic 😂😂😂

EmmaC78 · 29/02/2020 07:21

Yes, 5000 of you. Come on in Grin

BigSandyBalls2015 · 29/02/2020 07:24

My teens introduced me to this, so funny Grin. Mandy leaning on the car and Kerry asking her what she had in her bag ... “just a pillow case and a brick” Grin

ChewChewIsMySpiritAnimal · 29/02/2020 08:17

My favourite bit has to be when kerry gives slugs her PlayStation and she gets really annoyed when Kayleigh answers the door and Michael takes ages to reappear, then kerry demands it back and rants about slugs eating his toast Grin
