Back on BBC iPlayer on Monday at 7.00pm.

Bittersweet as it will be the final series, and will also incorporate a tribute to Slugs / Michael Sleggs.

Jesus was massively sarcastic 😂

The80sweregreat · 25/02/2020 13:38

Yes, Kerry's ' is that all he did' ? comment was telling as her dad was so horrible to her.
For the vicar it was a big deal of course!
I never borrow anything from anyone as I'm bound to be accused of a scratch or something! It's a rule I live by. There are many like June around!

The80sweregreat · 25/02/2020 13:40

Who told you that about Jesus , Kerry?
' big Mandy' .. says it's all!
His so patient with them.

Pinkarsedfly · 25/02/2020 14:40

Absolute genius.

I loved Daisy as Peggotty in David Copperfield, too.

Ukholidaysaregreat · 25/02/2020 15:40

Love This Country! It is spot on. I am terrified of Mandy but she is one of my favourite characters.

The80sweregreat · 25/02/2020 15:44

Big Mandy is very menacing. Her bad tattoo episode was funny plus her love of the mere cat figures! You wouldn't mess with Mandy.

happilybemused · 25/02/2020 19:36

That's the sort of arrogance that will get you killed on the motorway Grin

happilybemused · 25/02/2020 19:39

I can't believe she's charging like it's the fucking Eden Project Grin

shuuush · 25/02/2020 19:50

I'm just gutted they never did a Christmas special.

happilybemused · 25/02/2020 19:53

Two hands on the wheel

Muscle memory from impressing birds from the dodgems

Mynameisrow · 25/02/2020 21:01

When Kerry talked about trying to coach Kurtan through Theme Hospital, and the muller corner hitting her in the corner of her eye on her cornea while she was stood in the corner. I was in stitches

AppleBlossomTimeNow · 25/02/2020 21:08

"I love the drama of what goes where." Best thing on telly.

Encyclo · 25/02/2020 23:10

The corner thing was genius

I loved Kurtans absolute rage over June opening her garden to the public

The80sweregreat · 26/02/2020 06:26

Kurtan really was upset about the June's garden wasn't he? 😂
Love how Kerry was a back seat driver!

Considering how lazy Kerry and her mum are their house is quite clean and tidy! I'm always impressed by that although I know kurtan was doing it all last episode.

AnyFucker · 26/02/2020 06:30

I am going to be gutted when this series finishes

Kurtan's impression of the screaming lady had me rolling on the floor

Pinkarsedfly · 26/02/2020 07:59

Me too AnyFucker

Although Kerry’s impression of the stuck Catherine Wheel had already got me started GrinGrin

GCAcademic · 26/02/2020 08:06

Mynameisrow - it was, in fact, the corner of the Muller Corner that hit her in the corner of the cornea, while she was standing in the corner! 😂

I think Kerry should take over teaching Sunday school. Her assessment of Jesus being really into prostitutes was hilarious.

They bounce off one another so well.
It is very good. I've loved all the series , but I think series three will go out on a high.
Only know one person in rl who watches it though!

Clangus00 · 26/02/2020 09:15

It is brilliant.

EmmaC78 · 26/02/2020 09:21

Shes charging 50p like its the Eden project 😂😂😂

lolaflores · 26/02/2020 09:23

OH christ. Stop. I am in a waiting g room corner making snorts and fart noises trying not to laugh but 8 cent stop reading and I dont think The Tena can handle anymore parsnip pubes

The80sweregreat · 26/02/2020 09:25

It's just bored people doing boring things and so funny with it. My fav is the vicar though : he needs a big hug from someone.
When they saw that ambulance for len ! It's the reactions to things that's funny too! Hard to explain to anyone not a fan.

Milicentbystander72 · 26/02/2020 09:42

I know quite a few people who watch This Country. My teen dcs and their friends love it. Mind you, we live on the border of North Somerset and some of the small villages where their friends live are very reminiscent of the village in This Country. Even the slightly tired looking houses next to the nice stone cottages is very similar. One of the nearest villages even has a Scarecrow Contest every year!

I love Kerry and Kurten. They're just likeable and you just want them to be ok. The show is so layered and they always have that undertone of pathos somewhere.

It's genius that the whole of that episode was set in the car.
I'm worried the vicar will have some nervous breakdown by the end of the series!

I really admire them for creating and writing something for themselves after a hard slog with no money or strong connections in the BBC. I hope Daisy and Charlie go on to great things.

GCAcademic · 26/02/2020 10:28

I fell in love with This Country in the very first episode when there was a scarecrow festival. The village next to mine has one, and that episode was just so spot on.

When Kerry was directing Kurtan as he reversed,
"Plenty of room, pleeeenty of room..." Bang! Her running after the car was hilarious.

Genius how they just filmed the entirety of her run.

And her food order 😂. The poor vicar

"And some Quavers, the grab bag. You'll know the difference because the grab bag is significantly bigger"
