I usually get an online shop and this week my usual slot was unavailable and they were completely out of squash (is that a panic bought item??) but other than that all seemed as usual!

I heard about the Olympics as well didn't know about the challengers though, but I suppose it's sensible.

Speaking of challengers, Gulbis won one last week - I think he played Jerzy Janowicz in the final (blast from the past).

I also noticed Rafa and Grigor played an exhibition yesterday and Rafa was saying they are good friends and have been fishing together etc. Nice!

Indian Wells starts next weekend I think??...

Yes, IW next week- I still can't get my head around the fact 12 months ago I spent that week in hospital with dd2. .

I love that Rafa and Grigor have been fishing, somewhere I still have a photo of Rafa holding up a very big fish. I am not sure why.

I was quite disappointed that no-one seemed to be very panicked at all in my local Asda. Although the shelves were quite empty on Saturday, they were ok today.

I’m not sure yet whether to worry about the Coronavirus yet - I think it’s the disruption that’s going to be an issue (obviously it’s serious for people who’ve contracted it)

DH bought a four pack of baked beans the other day so we should be OK . I’m going to Portugal for a weekend next week so I’m hoping that won’t be disrupted although they had two confirmed cases yesterday .

Hope it isn’t too disruptive to the tennis. Roger won’t be happy if the Olympics gets cancelled - he’ll have had to wear those Uniqlo kits for nothing! Hope that Grigor’s dubious fashion sense doesn’t rub off on Rafa

I have enough food in the house to keep us OK, if boring, for two weeks & always do over winter in case either/both of us get ill.

I might have a look at that thread magi - after watching the news and then a BBC special last night I ended up feeling a bit panicked - I agree it is definitely an infodemic.

I have just been reading another good thread though, about sherbet dib/dip dabs, which mentions the Mandela effect - that always makes me think of Delpo's very real fisherman's jumper/log fire combo.

I've just looked at the list of players on the IW website. Well, to be more precise, their mugshots photos
Some of them are downright scary
Verdasco's is very odd. It looks more like a drawing.
It shows how bad most of them are when Dan Evans and Stan look the most normal

Poor Andy. He had a vote on his Insta story the other day asking whether he should carry on trying or give up. The majority voted carry on but it must be so difficult for him

I was just looking on the IW website and couldn't make head nor tail of it or see when the draws would be made or if they already have been.

Some good/interesting doubles teams as usual - standout for me is Stan and Zverev should be good.

I saw that news about Andy kazza. Hope he makes it.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who was baffled by the IW website. It's about as useful as a chocolate fireguard
When I went into a bit headed 2020 draw, scrolled through and got very confused. Cilic and Kyle Edmund were both seeded, for example, and Evans had lost in three sets to Stan. Clearly this was the 2019 tournament, not the 2020 draw!!

Yes, about the only useful thing I gleaned from the website was the news on doubles pairings. Rafa and Djok are also playing doubles - although not together

Rafa and djok pairing up now that would be a turn up. It said last year Djok played with Fognini?? I don't remember that at all!!

Djok and Foggy did quite well in doubles- got to the semi finals. Which was good for Djok, as he was knocked out in the second round of the singles.

Some tennis websites really are badly designed, I've discovered over the years, they make it really hard to navigate.

It's still showing the 2019 draw they are so last season. Unless in an amazing coincidence Djok plays Kohlschreiber for the second year running.

I see the corona virus has set off another tennis "towel gate" - Davis Cup and Fed Cup are making the players sort out their own towels. As it should be year round and not just when there's a virus doing the rounds. IMO.

Btw we have now got 18 toilet rolls in the airing cupboard, and I got a multitude of Werther's originals from Poundland - so do you reckon I should be ok?!
