A slate has blown off NDN’s roof (we think) and cracked DH’s windscreen . At least we’ve not got it as bad as some places.

Wind is still getting up here. Just read that the Hastings lifeboat has been launched for a missing surfer. What an idiot to go in the water in this weather & then put so many others lives at risk

Sorry to hear about the windscreen Fizzy - that doesn't sound fun.

I'm living on my nerves with the fecking trampoline! We had a really bad squall about half an hour ago and I had to run outside and replace a stray sandbag don't fancy doing that again in a hurry!!

It's gone a bit calmer now and the birds are back on the bird feeder, so I'm taking that as a good sign.

We haven't had any electricity since 12.10pm. SSE said it would be back at 6.30pm. It wasn't. Lasted guess is midnight. Salad for dinner. Hope the sea bass we were going to have is ok for tomorrow Also hope food in freezer and fridge will be ok

Oh dear kazza - hope you get your electricity back on soon. I thought our electricity had gone out earlier (it was DS1 leaning on the light switch!) and was wondering what we would eat - salad in February is not good!

That boat in Hastings did look pretty scary - there’s been a lot of flooding as well - must be awful

kazza - as far as I know if you don't open your freezer it will all be Ok for 24 hours. Hope you have your power back before then.
