I've finally watched it and am so confused. I feel like one of those old biddies with perfect recall of what happened when they were 10 and no clue as to what they did this morning - how come I remember Dana with crystal clarity but it's like I wasn't watching Season 7 - I can't even remember why tall handsome Russian is significant.
Good to see how spot on perfect Carrie's eyebrows remained after months in Russian captivity. Nice of them to make sure she had tweazers.
Chandler Bing is way out of his depth but I love him more for it.
And nice symmetry with Carrie failing the polygraph as Saul did in Season 1.

Tall Russian (yevgeny?) was the big baddie in the last season. His French girlfriend had been dating the presidents secretary (ken Barlow’s son) for years to gain all sorts of info then when Elizabeth Keane became pres, there was a trial for the army general who staged a coup against her. Russian man had French woman arrange for general to be poisoned once in prison and set it up to look like the presidents secretary had done it. French woman was to give evidence at a tribunal but was taken into secret hiding to keep her safe- Russian man rescued her and took her to Russia and had her holed away in some big building. Carrie, Saul and co, managed to retrieve her but Carrie acted as a decoy to lure Russian man away from French woman, Russian man caught Carrie and kept her locked up for 7 months until they could negotiate her release.

It now looks like Russian man is having talks with the Iraqis? And it’s possible Carrie revealed information he could use whilst she was locked up. She can’t remember.

I think part of Sauls agreement to work for potus was that she release the other 200 who were Locked up when he was. Not sure about Dar. I think he was staying in as he was actually part of the conspiracy against her wasn’t he?

I thought the VP was right in that the Taliban would only use the peace to regain control. Who'd trust them?
