Oh no, that’s sad Sad
Not in the mood for Fred’s horticultural whimsy.

Saucery · 09/02/2020 20:34

Pethidine is an opioid. She’ll be jonesing all over the shop by the end of the series.

Toddlerteaplease · 09/02/2020 20:35

Hypoplastic left heart doesn't have amazing survival rates even today.

Not sure I can watch this... Too near the bone for me... Lost ds1 at two hours old.
Ds2 rushed back in to hospital at two weeks and we nearly lost him too... 😔 😔 😔 😔

Saucery · 09/02/2020 20:40

It is a very tough watch, Elderflower Flowers

CaptainMyCaptain · 09/02/2020 20:40

That's awful Elderflower 14 so sorry to hear that.

Did anyone else have to Google 'jonesing' or just me?

Saucery · 09/02/2020 20:44

“We know that Esther is May’s mother”
And that’s all that needs to be said. The Turners are really irritating me now.

JustDanceAddict · 09/02/2020 20:50

Too sad today. I am 😭

Saucery · 09/02/2020 20:51

Yes. It was a Bit Much.

Go, Esther, make them do things the hard way. Superior gits.

Lavendersquare · 09/02/2020 20:52

My aunt contracted German measles when she was pregnant with my cousin in the late 60's very similar to the storyline tonight. My cousin had a hole in his heart, deaf, poor eyesight and mild brain damage. He was lucky they fixed the hole in his heart when he was 3 but the deafness, eyesight problems and leaning difficulties he's had to live with. This is why I get angry with the anti vaxxers if the MMR or just the rubella vaccine has been about in the 60's maybe my cousin might have had a better life.

Toddlerteaplease · 09/02/2020 20:53

Surely the Turners wouldn't be happy with only being her Gaurdian. Esther could take her away when ever she liked.

One of Ds2's oldest friends is deaf because his Mum has German Measles when she was pregnant.

Elderflower14 · 09/02/2020 20:57

Proper noisy sobs now at Sister MJs garden...

Toddlerteaplease · 09/02/2020 20:59

I think I have dust in my eye. Over Sr MJ's garden And I never shed a tear at CTM ever.

That was so sad Sad

FlamingoAndJohn · 09/02/2020 21:01

Oh my.
That little hand just finished me.

JustDanceAddict · 09/02/2020 21:03

My parents were anti-vaxxers - don’t ask!
I thought I had ruebella as a child and was not immune when I was tested at 12 weeks - as soon as I had DD and could get vaccinated, I did. Safe for the next pregnancy.
I even remember saying to my parents around age 15 that I was going to get vaccinated just in case, but they scared me, so I didn’t.

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 09/02/2020 21:06

It was a beautiful garden.

I actually feel sorry for the Turner's. They may be insufferable, but they weren't the ones who brought a child half way across the world from what they knew. And May is the one who will suffer for others actions.

AppleKatie · 09/02/2020 21:09

Young nun will be joining Trixie at AA (or similar for drugs) before the end of the series.

I sobbed tonight. Not at the May storyline (which was predictable and has been left hanging so they can do it again if they run out of ideas in a future series) but poor Warren. Just devastating.

ClaraLane · 09/02/2020 21:16

@AppleKatie I sobbed my eyes out too, had just got myself cleaned up when Sister MJ’s garden happened and Lucille put the photo down 😭😭

eggandonion · 09/02/2020 21:20

Will trendy young doctor not put young nun on the pill? With a lot of ethical dilemma.

ParsnipToast · 09/02/2020 21:21

So is the new doctor a wrong un? Dosing up the young nun, creepily gazing out of windows? Can't have someone competing with Dr T can we?

trying29 · 09/02/2020 21:24

Such a hard watch given my son has a hole in his heart. I was in floods of tears!

AppleKatie · 09/02/2020 21:32

Not a wrong un. But he fancies Val I think? And he’s inexperienced and will have to fess up to Dr T about drugging up a nun. Dr T will be stern. Miss Higgins will be unexpectedly kind then they’ll ship young nun to the mother house (via AA with Trixie) and Dr T will remember to be magnanimous.

The only loser is the poor young nun who’s been shipped out before she could make a proper go of the character.
