Nick is grimacing nicely, and Sarah's forgot the plot.
And we're all just gathering around and hoping Dev gets shot.

Yes *Symphony’ It’s still called Prestons Petals which was totally unrealistic even at the time of the opening, if I recall correctly Tracey opened the florists after Deirdre died so why did she not call it Barlows Blooms? I think Tracey called it PP to try and win Robert back so it’s totally ridiculous it’s called that to this day.

I’m guessing Robert is going to have not one single person at his funeral he is barely remembered by anyone after a couple of days, even Tracey who was married to him at one point. No one seems remotely traumatised by the mass shootings in the street do they?

So Steve is meant to remember the song that was playing when Amy was conceived all those years ago, even though Tracey told Roy the baby was his and him and Hayley were happy to bring her up, Steve had no knowledge that he had a child so how the fuck is he supposed to remember the bloody song!!

Do the writers think that the viewers they have are only watching for the last few months and don't remember details from years ago.

As for Maria and Gary.....words fail me.

I kind of feel sorry for the actors because the shit scripts aren't their fault but have they no self respect to stand up and say "this is crap my character would never do this" maybe if they did things would change

This has to be the worst year of script writing. Tracey a sudden lesbian! Dear writers homosexuality really doesn't work like that. And the factory half owned by the dim witted workers who each seem to have a 500 quid investment. Rob is brutally shot and no one gives a fuck, Rita lonely for all of 4 episodes, gemmas quads with only 1 baby ever in shot and where's her mum who has been in every episode this year, elf Gary threatening men twice his height.... I could go on but I won't.

Powergower you've summed it up perfectly. Just wish someone connected to the scriptwriters was reading it.

I've watched Corrie nearly all my life, but it's beyond dreadful at the moment, crap story lines, too many stupid characters, it needs scrapping and starting again!

I was a lifelong Corrie watcher until about 3 years ago, I'd love it to get back to its best. I was flicking through old FB posts from 10 years ago yesterday like so many others and I came across RIP Maggie Jones (Blanche) from Dec 2009, that was about when it started going downhill.

So if Adam and Sarah got married and Daniel and Bethany got together, would Daniel be going out with his great-niece in law???

And if Daniel married Bethany would she become her mother’s aunt??

The behind the bar area in The Rovers is massive. I don't think I've ever seen a bar that huge in real life.
If I was a scriptwriter I'd have another big fire that guts The Rovers & have it rebuilt with a more realistic bar.

This is so so bad. Such terrible acting from everyone tonight. Terrible writing. Gail “oops” I found a letter. There’s no way Amy would have instantly jumped to “you two slept together” just because Tracey had Paula’s jacket. They both got pissed last night in the pub- a simple “oh I lifted the wrong jacket”. Tracey is practically a professional liar- all she could come up with was “errr”. Awful.

I was also thinking this about Amy, especially as Tracy's not gay (although she now seems to be bi?) Wouldn't you assume Tracy just got really drunk?

Where does everyone sleep in Fiz and Tyrone's?

Well that was a woefully underwhelming New Year’s Day episode. I’m afraid that’s the final nail in the coffin for me. I’m done with Corrie now.

Where is Amy going to go live with Emma? Doesn't Emma live at Maria's?

The best things about tonight's episode:

1. Sally to Kevin: "You've got a face like a yard of gravy."

1. Tracy to Amy: "Emma's been hanging around like a fart in a phone box."

Ray & Abi are the worst snoggers I have seen. That was dreadful acting when they were eating each others' faces.

I'm not buying Tracey suddenly shagging a woman. Shite plot line.

I like the way they tried to explain it, like Tracey had been all round the block in prison.

The Ray and Abi scene was horrendous, like some silly scene in Only Fools And Horses. Oh, wait.....they'd have done it much better........

And so unprofessional! At least lock yourself in your office Ray!

Ray really creeps me out. He looks very much like someone I know but personality wise completely different. It’s very disconcerting
