Sorry if there’s already a thread on this but I couldn’t find one.

Anyone else excited about this? I’m really looking forward to it, especially after seeing the trailer yesterday! There were no kids in the trailer though (unless I missed them) so not sure what’s happened to Neil the baby and Stacey’s bump! Apparently Uncle Bryn is hosting Christmas this year....

Nope, the night Nessa conceived was 8 weeks before the wedding. They announce they're marrying on 6th April, Mick asks "is that April next year or eight weeks from now"

Does anyone know why Sheridan Smith did not join in this one?

There probably wasn’t enough time to include her - she never came on the trips to Barry did she? So would have had to have been in Essex and they had to fit in Dawn & Pete who were in it more often than Rudi.

Rudy went to Neil The Baby's christening, didnt she?

Actually probably yes - oh is that the one where Rudi and her mum come in the car with Smithy? My mistake.

There’s probably a couple of reasons Sheridan Smith wasn’t in it - they probably couldn’t think of a good way to include her in the storyline without it looking obvious that she was just shoehorned in, but I suspect the more likely reason is that she and James Corden are ex boyfriend/girlfriend and maybe it’s awkward working together now they’re both with other people. Shame though as I would have liked to see her in it! I love Sheridan in anything and she was fab as Rudy.

I also thought it was a shame Dave Coaches wasn’t in it - he could have been at the pub on Christmas Eve and had a quick chat with Nessa/Smithy!

The M&S in Essex, where Stacey was working when Smithy came in to buy underwear for Christmas for Lucy, was also in Wales. It really confused my daughter as she used to live near Barry and recognised it.

So was the Burger King that Rudy worked in!

Also Sheridan Smith is pregnant and quite far along I think so maybe that’s why

I'm sure it was all in wales wasn't it? The service station was too. The only part in England I can think of is them drive over the bridge?
Rudi was missed I think. Although not shown in every episode, she did, in my opinion, play a key and funny part.

The service station is Leigh Delamere of it's the same one they actually film at,that's not Wales. I love it when we stop there

It would have been great to hear how Dave coaches was doing. I hope he’s happy somewhere, he clearly thought a lot about Neil the baby (overinvested)

I really fancied Dave Coaches so was hoping he'd be in it

How many daughters does jasper carrot have? One of his daughters was in TheOffice.,
