Sammi/james was so desperate to get the money.

l12d04 · 18/10/2019 23:36

I'd have liked a little update on Joyce - the two little cuties

MissPepper8 · 18/10/2019 23:36

Ahh.. After Woodys interview I did want him to win as Tim got the 30k.. I felt Paddy didn't really bring anything to the show.

Well Sammie's tactical voting got him 3rd place 😂😂 he would of been better off leaving Ella in haha.. Bit deflated after that.

Doyoumind · 18/10/2019 23:36

Woody will have a lot of opportunities come his way but I hope he still goes off to university. Ella too should do well out of it. I can't say the same for James and Georgina. They didn't play the long game which could be much more lucrative.

EnriqueTheRingBearingLizard · 18/10/2019 23:37

Yawn. Again.

It's one of those series where you'll remember the people you liked for the right reasons and the rest will fade into obscurity from your memory bank.

CanaryBlossom · 18/10/2019 23:39

You could actually see the penny drop for James when Emma told him his single mum catfish had divided opinion on the outside world.

I doubt he heard much after that other then the “oh shit” going round in his head. He seemed to be on autopilot repeating himself.

Strugglingmum73 · 18/10/2019 23:40

I thought Georgina and Janes came across terribly in the final show. Tim and Woody deserved to win.

LittleAndOften · 18/10/2019 23:41

I havent felt this cheated since the last series of Hunted (not the sleb one) where they made it impossible for the deserving finalists to win.

The outcome of this kind of voting will always be the bland, unremarkable one rising to the top because of the law of averages. How utterly blah.

Strugglingmum73 · 18/10/2019 23:42

I think Ella, Tim and Woody could get presenting type roles fro. This. Although last years lot largely disappeared I think.

Nothappy599 · 18/10/2019 23:43

Circle messege. #notwatchingnextyear
Kiss. Send.

dayswithaY · 18/10/2019 23:45

They need to change the voting next year, that was a waste of everyone's time. I'm pleased for Paddy but it's gonna make subsequent series boring as they'll all play it safe and be too afraid to be a catfish. That's not the ending the producers wanted.

Starlight456 · 18/10/2019 23:47

I am surprised how annoyed I feel that the people I wanted to win didn’t .
I never generally vote on these type of shows as I don’t care enough.

Pp is right though the ones I like will be around

100PercentThatBitch · 18/10/2019 23:48

@LittleAndOften

I was infuriated by the ending of that Hunted, so clearly rigged, to try and combat accusations the previous series had been rigged and just made it even more obvious Hmm

Itsrebekahvardysaccount · 18/10/2019 23:53

See you all next time Wink

ExhaustedGrinch · 18/10/2019 23:57

Glad James didn't win. Wish Tim or Woody would have come first but made up that Tim was the peoples vote.

Tactical voting means that it's not the most popular person winning which is what I thought the game was all about?

Next year they should vote but never ever reveal the rankings, just instantly block the lowest and be done with it. That way it reduces the risk of tactical voting ruining it.

Hushabyelullaby · 19/10/2019 00:01

I absolutely hate the fact that Paddy got so much pity and 'oh you're brave' comments. Yes he has a disability, and bloody good on him for living his life in the best way he can, however I am convinced that if it wasn't known by the other contestants that he has a disability, his personality would not have made him a winner. I think that the only way to get a true impartial view is to let your personality come through, and be judged on that alone.

There are hundreds of thousands of people living with a disability/condition, and I'm sure that they would want to be judged on their personality alone, all that is what makes you you! Every disabled person I've ever met feels this way. It seems that to be pitied, told you're brave, or that you're so cheerful despite everything is really condescending. If someone is arrogant, rude, nasty, a complete knob etc, it doesn't mean that they should be able to get away with acting that way because of their condition. At the end of the day if they're an arse they're an arse.

Just to state that I am a full time wheelchair user myself.

Doyoumind · 19/10/2019 00:02

I agree they will have to change the ratings format again to avoid a repeat of this year's tactics. I don't think it's a series that can run and run though. Big Brother was great at the beginning when it was new and people didn't know how to play the game. Then it got boring.

aSofaNearYou · 19/10/2019 00:02

Totally knew it would be Paddy. Middle of the road votes and people putting him first to try and increase their chances because they didn't think anyone else would (Georgina and Sammie).

I think the show will always leave viewers feeling deflated until it is 50k for players vote and 50k for viewers vote. The game is about being tactical and portraying your best character which should be respected, but viewers want to feel like they're getting something out of watching as well. That way you have to play the game well, but also be entertaining and likeable, and could choice either approach or both.

LittleAndOften · 19/10/2019 00:03

@100PercentThatBitch I'm so glad it's not just me! Producers have to realise that audiences need proper resolutions for the main characters, just like in stories. We invest in contestants' journeys and identify with them, so we feel cheated when we don't get satisfactory outcomes.

I think The Circle's main problem is that no one in production could do maths and foresee such an inevitably bland outcome 😂

100PercentThatBitch · 19/10/2019 00:05

@Hushabyelullaby

I know exactly were you are coming from

What infuriated me was that he was apparently going in as an able person and then revealed it as soon as ratings came into play, KNOWING he was going to get sympathy votes. He would have been blocked ages ago if e was being assessed on personality alone.

That he got there using pity and not merit sickens me a bit

It's exactly what disabled people hate and shows times haven't changed not that they have

MissPepper8 · 19/10/2019 00:11

Well if you remember his initial intro he said he was going to use his disability to his advantage.

I think a 50/50 shared prize fund would be better yes.

Whatsnewpussyhat · 19/10/2019 00:13

Just cant watch Tim without seeing Robin William's. Was actually nice to see him win something. I thought he'd be one of the first out.

Whatsnewpussyhat · 19/10/2019 00:14

*Williams. Bloody auto correct

wizzler · 19/10/2019 00:31

Am way too invested in this program. Will be pleased to get back to a normal bedtime
Loved Tim and am going to try to be more like him every day
Actually I liked James till he ripped his T-shirt off and cavorted round the room wailing and stomping when Ella was blocked. I thought he was insincere on the sofa.

I wanted Emma to ask James why he kept taking his top off
I wanted Denny and Woody to be reunited
I wanted Bey to get the £70k

SnowyZ · 19/10/2019 00:37

It was definitely an anti climax Paddy winning. So pleased James' plan backfired on him though. His interview was so meek... he was being all coy and timid but it was probably just an act to try and get people to like him.

I like the suggestion PP said where they don't reveal the rankings, just block. Or I wonder what the outcome would be if they averaged out all the previous rankings.

I also think they should have made a bigger deal of the people's vote, they were all just sat on the sofa when Emma revealed it. So that added to the anti climax feeling.
