It's that time of year where we watch a school of twats try and out twat each other all for the sake of... No idea. To be forgotten? Become a Love Island z-lister?

Anyway, if you are in, then I shall see you at 9pm tonight!

OP posts:
ellenanora5 · 03/10/2019 23:50

Well that was the brilliant load of shite it always is, loved it and hated it Grin

Lottie is the one to hate but that could change, remember how Elizabeth drove us mad and then we couldn't get enough of her, she was fab.

I'll be back for more next week, might not be on the night but won't be long after.

highheelsandbobblehats · 03/10/2019 23:50

Just caught up with this tonight. @Amibeingnaive wins the thread for her Ryan-Mark observation.

Though my husband was cracking up at my extreme reaction everything he came on screen. He makes me want to turn myself inside out, I cringe that much.

The boys deserved to win. The wine tour was a fucking shambles. DH and I have admiration for a candidate for the first time in years with Lewis. We think that his reasons for bringing back the two he did was the first time actual logic has been used in that boardroom, ever. We're cheering him to win now.

highheelsandbobblehats · 03/10/2019 23:51

@ellenanora5 Elizabeth drove us mad because she was batshit.
Lottie is a pretentious twat.

TitianaTitsling · 04/10/2019 00:02

Lottie is definitely my love to hate, anyone else expecting the 'only 19' comments at least twice an episode? Who was the one several years ago who HAD to mention their age every 5 mins?!

Weedsnseeds1 · 04/10/2019 12:52

I don't know why she is billed as a librarian. She runs a ladies club for the county set. Days at the races, shooting parties etc.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 04/10/2019 13:45

The more I think about it, the more I am convinced that The Apprentice is actually a public service. Whilst this shower of incompetants is running around being filmed cocking up wine tours etc, they are not out in the actual worlds of commerce and business, being inflicted on real people!

Spidey66 · 04/10/2019 15:27

Who was the one several years ago who HAD to mention their age every 5 mins?!

Stuart? (If it was him he died a couple of years back from an asthma attack)

CassandraCross · 04/10/2019 15:56

I loved Stuart 'the brand' Braggs, I don't recall him mentioning his age much though.

There's something odd about Lubna's eyes, I can't describe it but when she was in the car and also in the "I am so wonderful I am going to win" clip her eyes were just weird. There seems to have been buckets of Botox and fake tan used on everyone.

STDG over the last couple of series I can't imagine many of the candidates surviving in the world of industry, commerce and business.

Amibeingnaive · 04/10/2019 15:57

The concept is flawed anyway, because if any of them actually had a viable business plan, they'd have secured investment already, and not given away half the equity.

I actually met a contestant who came second a few years ago recently at a work event. He was not the full canteen of cutlery, I'm afraid. To the extent that he appeared to be struggling to read aloud (I'm not joking).

CassandraCross · 04/10/2019 15:58

I wonder if the one Alan Sugar went into business with who runs a business providing cosmetic procedures supplies all the Botox?!?

Amibeingnaive · 04/10/2019 16:13

I also actually worked with a former contestant many moons ago, when I was young and foolish enough to briefly work at an estate agency (I was 19 - we all make mistakes).

Even against that yardstick, he was an unconscionable prick. Happily big Al agreed and he was kicked off within the first fortnight. As I understand it, he is still peddling his lies to potential homebuyers and using far too much hair product to this day.

CassandraCross · 04/10/2019 16:17

The only good thing about you having met/worked with two of the insufferable twats is that at least we know for sure they are as insufferable and useless as they appeared to be.

ScreamingValenta · 04/10/2019 16:17

Yes, Stuart 'the Brand' Baggs was a wonderful contestant - I was very sorry when I heard he had died.

Stuart's best moment for me was when his team were given a task involving driving racing cars, and Stuart announced excitedly: "I'm going to have to rein in my extreme masculinity!"

RIP.

CassandraCross · 04/10/2019 16:19

His one trick pony, field of ponies line was my favourite Screaming. I too was sorry to hear he had died.

'I want money – but my roots lie in countryside' - Lottie Lion on entering ...
And the best wine bar in the country revealed!

ScreamingValenta · 04/10/2019 20:55

You're Fired - My jury's still out on Tom Allen. I've never come across him before. I wasn't mad keen on Rhod Gilbert, to be fair. I wish they'd brought back Dara Ó Briain.

Quaffy · 04/10/2019 20:58

Quite a few of my friends know floppy haired Nick from series 8, and he’s apparently really nice. Then again in my opinion he came across pretty well on the show.

I think the show is deliberately designed to show people at their worst, but I doubt some of the bigger “characters” are much better in real life.

Groovee · 06/10/2019 09:22

Lottie did my head in. She's rude and a bully.

Found the tours really boring. I'd have demanded my money back half way through both!

Italiangreyhound · 06/10/2019 17:59

I actually like Loittle more after reading that article.

I found her very overbearing.

I want Lubna to win!

WeWantSweet · 06/10/2019 19:44

I think it's even more obvious this series that some contestants are just there to play to what will feature in the edit eg. the elephant/rhino nonsense, as getting known, no matter the reason, has the potential to milk as much as actually having a real business idea, sadly. Will watch, but will bail if it's too crappy.

SunshineCake · 06/10/2019 19:59

I was a bit concerned when Lewis started talking with a raised voice but I thought he was brilliant when he said he couldn't bring the other team in for putting the customers first. I think more should have been made of that.

WeWantSweet · 06/10/2019 20:29

Personally, I didn't register Lewis's attitude as particularly disturbing so was a bit surprised when LS raised it as an issue.

peppinanna · 09/10/2019 21:13

Cringing already!!
