The Circle is back on tonight (Channel 4, 9:15) and I am soooooo excited

2Rebecca I thought the new person was trans from the short clip yesterday too.
I didn't watch last year but I'm really enjoying it this time. Like PPs, I immediately thought that Woody was Zoe Ball's son. Partly his name (I don't know any other Woody except Toy Story!) and partly because he looks so like his mum and dad!
I feel bad about this but I've taken a small, irrational dislike to Tim since he drew on Brooke's card. He draws like Rolf Harris so now I feel he's untrustworthy

He's not dissimilar to Rolf Harris actually!

The new girl really does fancy herself - very unattractive trait & feel for the girl whose actual photos she's using.

Watching late and absolutely SHOCKED at the use of pictures of a "girl less pretty than me" in not so many words. Awful. Did the girl in the photos know she was being cast that way - horrifying. I hope she gets knocked out quick

I wouldn't agree to my picture being cast if they explained how it was being used! I agree she needs to go vain and nasty!

The new girl seemed highly agitated not to be the new guys cup of tea when the 'who do you fancy' question came up. I think she's really made a bit of a dick out of herself already. Her whole approach was cringe inducing. Oh. I'm so attractive and popular, I've went for a less affective look to keep them at bay ' 🤮 Jays mum is the most cringey person I've seen in a long time. I'm enjoying it this year but not as much as lasy year.

I missed one episode. Why did Tim suspect Jay was Jays mum? Not knowing why he deduced this, I wonder if he if somehow saw her/him. The questions he are asking are too accurate. Or maybe he is very good at deducing things.

The flats are a lot bigger this year. Last year they were tiny. I presume they are all on different floors and away from each other so as not to see or hear each other. I guess it’s a new block of flats they are using, so not occupied by anyone else.

I think the contestants have a film crew with them so they do get to talk to real people also. It really strange at first having to voice all your thoughts out loud, and speaking text-talk.

@Loveislandaddict Nah, Tim has been piecing it together for a while. The language she uses; the way she described herself when 'Jay' was talking about his mum, the photo she picked second; and her handwriting on the card for Brooke, off the top of my head.

The outside world bit is really carefully controlled. Only one person outside their apartment at a time until they get to the controlled areas (gym, outside, etc), they are escorted, they have to book in advance. They've taken making sure nobody can see or hear anyone very seriously! It's better run than my house

I think I missed the last bit of Tuesday nights episode. Did something happen to make Tim suspect Sammi? He always really rated her so I was surprised when he rated her/him so low last night.

I was very impressed when he not only correctly guessed Jay was a catfish, but also that he was being played byhis mum!

I think it was the hand writing in the card but he also seems quite intuitive, I think the fake sammi didn't check in on him when he was upset over Judy has put some seeds on his head so I think influencers this week will be Georgina and Tim or woody. So the whole immunity thing is going to be worthless bottom will be between jay and brooke that's my guess anyway.

He is sharp! I think Jay's 2nd photo convinced him too. It's very telling that no one else posted a picture of their family members (apart from Sammie). Bit narcissistic of Katie/Jay to get her picture on there. It doesn't really tie in with the other young 20-somethings' profiles.

What did Jay's mum give as an answer to the soffit/fascia question? My ds woke up crying around this time and I wasn't sure if they didn't show it or I missed it.

They didn't show her reply, she just said "I'm fucked". Hope they show it tonight.

Woody's wholesale brick question was genius! She should have just made up a price - it's not as though any of the others would have known

I thought Woodys was rubbish as surely bricks at bought in bulk so it would be up to how good your maths is if you could figure out the price of one! But it's separated the men and the women. All the blokes have doubts now all the women think he is genuine so obviously I was wrong! Better than Tim's question I thought he would have been clever.
