The Circle is back on tonight (Channel 4, 9:15) and I am soooooo excited

Tim is fab, he's a fully fledged person. This is why I don't understand making the other contestants so young. They've done it with Bake Off this year too. Show us older people with character!

I wondered about this, I couldn't quite work out why it does skew so young. I presumed that maybe they get more young applicants because most seem to be after launching a "career", although even much-loved Dan didn't really get much once the buzz had died down last year... and perhaps older people would struggle to get four weeks off, and leave their families? There was a lovely lady in Series 1 who took her baby in, Genelle I think, but she walked halfway through.

Love that Tim picked up that 'Jay' listed his acronyms (is that the right word?) in alphabetical order . Have a crush on Tim.

Motherofsoupdragons yes! I think he'll rumble Sammie soon as well (we didn't see much of him/her last night - wonder why? Maybe more this evening)

The girl giving her photos for that reason must have self-esteem through either the roof or the floor.

I think Jay's mum made it obvious when talking about looking for "miss Right" at the beginning. Young lads would not be putting that on their profile when trying to make friends of both sexes. She makes Jay sound like a right mummy's boy which isn't an attractive characteristic to other young people. neither of the catfishes are really getting in to their characters.

Yep Jay with the list of acronyms was so cringe I was embarrassed for her/him. She’s trying way too hard and only resulting in giving herself away. Half of the ones she listed aren’t current anyway. I agree she’s not portraying Jay in a good light stall. If I hear Jay say ‘Lej’ and ‘geez’ one more time I think I might smash the tv. Young people have moved on from that kind of lingo. She’s just making him look like a div.

Ugh hope jay's mum goes soon. Love that Tim is onto her.

I must admit to getting quite fed up with this show now, especially now that the latest two Sleb wannabees have joined. I'll continue recording it on series stack and may watch tomorrow morning instead so that DH can watch his (worthy) programmes instead.

I wish Bay the cat could contribute more. He's really shedding isn't he? I keep wanting to get the mini Dyson out on that sofa!

I haven't heard of 2MI as an option for TMI ever. Things like that will give her away. Surprised it hasn't yet.

The whole fascia/soffit discussion was brilliant. The producer showing her doing exactly what Tim was guessing she was doing was perfect.

Have caught up now. It's not as good as last year.

The new girl is awful. It's ironic she doesn't want judged on her looks and then was obviously annoyed that the new boy didn't automatically find her attractive. Welcome to life for the 'civilians'

I'm disliking Ella. She's been very tactical from the beginning. She seems sly to me.

I don't mind sly. They don't go on there to make friends they go on to get money and fame. Being nice is just a game some play better than others. I find the "besties" stuff for someone you've never met and who may be a different age, sex or colour to that on their photo and be inventing all their views bizarre.

Ella is growing on me. It was interesting to hear her analysis of Brooke and grow Brooke doesn’t really have any of her own opinions. She’s coming across quite astute, like Tim.

My faves are Tim and Woody. I really like Ella and Georgina too.
I don’t think either of those pretending are very likeable.

I find the whole circle sisters thing very odd maybe it's all happening off camera but I don't think we have seen Georgina and brook have 1 private chat!

Jay / Katie is really annoying me . The real Jay must be cringing. She reminds me of reginas mum in mean girls. That I’m not a regular mum I’m a cool mum vibe. Which immediately makes you the total opposite 🙄

God almighty she’s thick as mince old Jay/Katie, and utterly utterly deluded.
