The Circle is back on tonight (Channel 4, 9:15) and I am soooooo excited Grin

Poor guy? He was sexualising himself on his looks anyway who says "if they had seen my photos it would have been a different story" can't stand men like that I didn't find him attractive anyway. Ugly personality but yes if it had been a woman the comments wouldn't have been allowed. Paddy had come out with some vile shit it's actually cringe. I have never liked paddy anyway, he's awful and he is the only one to do a stupid dance when someone goes as he's safe.....never mind the person going or people that did actually give a shit about the person! Not a good look.

Itsrebekahvardysaccount · 17/10/2019 18:47

Have had to try and avoid this thread as hadn’t watched since last week and wanted to get caught up before reading.

I found the minimising of Jack and Beth’s obvious romance very strange at first but obviously the producers didn’t want to show too much and allow it to affect any potential public votes ie people keeping them in to see the romance blossoming. The narrator woman was just acting like it wasn’t happening when she was talking about them which was odd but the right thing to do as it’s not what the show is about.

Can’t be doing with all Georgina’s screaming and shouting in the last couple of episodes since COT came about. James will throw that pair right under the bus when the time comes.

Unsure why Woody mentioned the Paul McCartney thing - actually thought at that point he was going to do a big reveal. Cringed a bit when he told ‘Joyce’ his parents were ‘famous’. Googled Fatboy Slim earlier and his net worth according to Google is $30million which I was really surprised about but I’m definitely from the wrong decade!

Looking forward to tonight’s show and will be gutted when it’s finished.

Fannybawshasmerethanme · 17/10/2019 19:19

I definitely think James is a manipulative player and is definitely playing a game (although i agree that he was too full on with the ella thing) but Tim has also/is manipulative at times. They are all in it to win it. I get that woody comes across as nice with all the love and positivity but then hes also quite sneaky with the trying to catch a catfish and dont forget his tactics to move up the popular ratings. Tonight will be interesting, personally i think all the originals should get to the final 4 but i think Sammi/James could be in trouble.

Fannybawshasmerethanme · 17/10/2019 19:20

Also just noticed the pp username @Itsrebekahvardysaccount brilliant! Wink

KurriKawari · 17/10/2019 19:34

James at least admits to being ruthless and manipulative and lying. Tim has paid a calculated game and is the only one who seems conscious of the cameras in his room. All the others will just say what's on their head. Everything tim says off circle chat is calculated and thought out for the public's effect.

Yes at how much fatboy slim is worth, so of course Woody doesn't care about winning or the money. This is just a chance for him to be seen by the public and eventually launch his own music career. Again he is conscious of how he is coming across to the public. When £100k is a drop in the ocean for you, then you can preach #LoveAndPositivity and not care about money.

Babybel90 · 17/10/2019 19:37

I actually thought Tim got so upset because he wasn’t in control of the conversation and he didn’t like things not going his way, it was actually Sammie who had to compromise because Tim wouldn’t. And as if he’s getting annoyed that it’s getting tactical, it’s a game of course it’s going to get tactical! I cringed so hard when he said he cared for Sammie deeply Hmm

KurriKawari · 17/10/2019 19:37

Also I find Tim's interest in Charlie creepy. He let James choose who to block previously if James agreed to have a chat about Charlie in which he could ask him anything. And after the videos today's he is like "well she didnt mention charlie" well you didnt mention your husband. He really irritates me with his fakeness. He was calculating in how he got rid of brooke. Dunno why he gets to run the show. James should have said to him "listen mate I came first in the ratings not you so I have deciding vote and I've decided on Ella."

KurriKawari · 17/10/2019 19:38

And despite saying I wont tell woody, he went ahead and tom him anyway...why he was being cryptic about it I dont know.

Itsrebekahvardysaccount · 17/10/2019 19:39

It should have come down to who came top in the ratings if they couldn’t agree. Was it James?

I didn’t like that it was just a given that then final say would be Tims and James just had to accept it.

PennyRoyal · 17/10/2019 19:42

Funny how we see people differently! I don't think tim has been too tactical, he's playing the game but I think he and Woody put their scruples/beliefs/morals above snaking others. They've stayed true to themselves. Whereas Georgina has run with the hare & the hounds! And James/Sammi has showed himself to be a nasty piece of work.
I might be proved wrong!
For me, Woody, Tim & Ella to be top 3.

Babybel90 · 17/10/2019 19:43

Yes, if I was James I would have said I’m only going to agree to get rid of Ella and then either Tim would have to agree or go to the producers to see what happens if they don’t agree.

I’ve known a few people like Ella who are best friends with everyone when they’ve only known them 5 minutes, it’s really flaky and horrible when you get dropped for the next “bestie”

Russell19 · 17/10/2019 19:44

@kurrikawari sorry but completely disagree. I don't think Tim is fake which is why he faught for ella to stay. He isn't playing tactically and didn't want to try and get rid of her to win like James did because let's face it that's why he chose Ella because he thinks she will win over him.

Lets face it though, ella going would have done Tim a favour as she is a strong contender for winning but Tim actually likes her.

Fannybawshasmerethanme · 17/10/2019 19:45

So agree with pp! Tim is so manipulative and controlling. Hes also very tactical, will definitely make Woody go to the final. Hes just as much a game player as James. I also thought Tim was putting on the "oh why do you manipulate me Sammi". I could be completely wrong and James has told so many lies but i wonder whether domestic abuse is something he has experienced or knows someone who has experienced as he got very angry when he thought Woody dismissed his plan on spending money. Maybe thats why his personality changed. Im probably reading way too much and need to get a life lol

Babybel90 · 17/10/2019 19:46

Isn’t it Penny? The only one I think is genuine AND nice is Woody, but maybe that’s because I know he can afford not to win whereas I think the others have all got their own game plan to win, and I’m sure the £100k would not be insignificant to any of them except Woody.

aSofaNearYou · 17/10/2019 19:47

I don't really understand what people mean when they say Tim is manipulative, he seems to have aims in his conversations but usually just for a laugh or to achieve something like learn more about someone/see if someone is lying. He doesn't seem to be manipulating people into liking him in order to win at all.

Don't understand why people describe Georgina as genuine either. She spends all her time complaining about people being sickly sweet and then pretending to be in her replies. Ella is the one that gets called a brown noser and yet you only have to watch her to see she is genuinely that enthusiastic and positive about people, a bit annoying maybe but usually genuine. Georgina is the least genuine non catfish there - she seems to dislike most of them.

Babybel90 · 17/10/2019 19:49

@aSofaNearYou that’s how Tim has done so well, a good manipulator won’t let you see that they’re manipulating you!

Itsrebekahvardysaccount · 17/10/2019 19:50

Why can’t I be Norman Cooks son Sad

Loveislandaddict · 17/10/2019 19:56

I don’t see Tim as a manipulator. However, he is very astute and can read between the lines, so I think is more aware of what is going on, and his actions reflect this.

Woody was planning to go to university, wasn’t he, not launch a singing career?

Loveislandaddict · 17/10/2019 19:57

I’d love Johnny Ball as a grandpa! Think of a number anyone?!

Itsrebekahvardysaccount · 17/10/2019 19:58

I don’t know who Johnny Ball is Blush

aSofaNearYou · 17/10/2019 19:59

@Baybebel90 Tim has had more opportunities than anyone to block popular players and hasn't used it once, even when it would have been easy when Sammie was suggesting Ella. He hasn't even prioritised blocking the person who would keep his Circle popularity highest, like when he blocked Brooke over Joyce.

Also, whenever people have come to him with suspicions about catfishes he has urged whoever it was to be kind and not let it cloud their judgment of them if the suspect has been nice otherwise.

I'm sure he's aware in the back of his mind that he'll come across well if he plays his funny and avuncular self in an entertaining way for the camera, but I don't think he has been false to the other players to try and win himself nearly as much as everybody else there except Woody.

FthisS · 17/10/2019 20:00

I just won't hear a bad word against Tim he is just the best. I believe him to be completely genuine and his interest in 'Sammie and Charlie' is nothing sinister but because he is a caring loving person. He didn't break his word when he told Woody about what Sammie had said about Ella. I bloody would have! He deserves the place in the final alongside Woody and Ella.

itswinetime · 17/10/2019 20:00

Can some give me some examples of Tim being manipulative..apart from last night with Sammie I haven't seen it interested to know what I'm missing.

I think he is tactical, I think he has his own set of rules as to how the circle should run but I haven't seen him manipulate the game..that I can remember anyway

Loveislandaddict · 17/10/2019 20:10

Johnny Ball is Woody’s grandad, and Zoe Ball’s dad, and was the presenter of ‘Think of a Number’ in the eighties, a show which made maths and science fun.

Strugglingmum73 · 17/10/2019 20:11

If I was voting tonight I’d go

Tim
Woody
Ella
Georgina
James
Paddy

Anyone else?
