The Circle is back on tonight (Channel 4, 9:15) and I am soooooo excited Grin

Oooh this is going to be difficult. Given his reasoning for getting rid of Brooke last week, Tim might agree to Jan staying, and that would obviously suit James very well. In that case I think Tim will go for Paddy. Georgina seems to see Paddy as a secondary part of the "revolution" team, as she referred to it being her and Sammie.

Fannybawshasmerethanme · 15/10/2019 23:29

I really like Sammie/James, unlike others hes done his homework, i do think people will be upset that he lied about a baby but i think his intentions with the money are sincere altho i agree with others, i would want the 100k for my family.
Im sick of the tim/ella/woody gang and dont understand why woody is so popular. I think hes playing a game, this whole good guy image, its insincere. I really dont know how Sammie will convince Tim to get rid of Ella though...will be interesting.

carriemathisonshandbag · 15/10/2019 23:31

The only reason I don't want Ella to go is because it leaves Tim and Woody vulnerable. I don't dislike Ella, and I don't think she is playing a massive game. I see her as one of those people who gets along with a lot of people. I do agree that we haven't got to know much about her personally though.

itswinetime · 15/10/2019 23:33

I don't trust James/Sammies intentions with the money at all! I hope I'm wrong and if he wins he does follow through but he has shown no issues with lying and playing the game. That's fine but it doesn't make me inclined to believe you!

carriemathisonshandbag · 15/10/2019 23:34

I haven't had a problem with James until tonight. All the banging on about "the revolution" and prancing around in his white t shirt was like some kind of dictator

LolaDabestest · 15/10/2019 23:37

I think James was playing "James"" tonight and not Sammie he was coming across out of character I'm surprised Georgina wasn't thinking wtf. Fair play though he managed to pull it off.

itswinetime · 15/10/2019 23:39

I don't dislike James although the last few episodes he is coming across as a bit of an idiot! But this is a game about catfishes and lying. So while I think it's a shit lie to tell James can say what he wants about where the money is going it's not wrong (in the terms of the game). I won't believe him until I see a check being handed over!

Fannybawshasmerethanme · 15/10/2019 23:40

I think James has been the most entertaining though. Honestly without him, it would have been really boring.
Also like another pp said i thought it was also odd woody dropped the paul McCartney story. If someone told me that, i would have serious questions to ask. Very strange

InglouriousBasterd · 15/10/2019 23:42

I can’t see Tim letting Ella be blocked. He’s so astute, surely he would realise that she’s a close ally?

Sammie was growing on me but now...I don’t know. It’s underhand and devious, but really what gets me is the nastiness behind it - same goes for Georgina. Paddy was like that from the moment he walked in, so I’m not surprised, but the other two - less so.

cuddlymunchkin · 16/10/2019 00:07

I'd love to see Ella go, she's a brown noser and has no other aspect to her! Sammie/James is quite right to say that she is 'besties' with pretty much everyone in there - she literally just reflects back something to them to make it feel like there is a connection then ends practically every conversation with "got your back". Don't believe it hun!
Tim is my absolute favourite because he's been so lovely and open from the start but I have huge respect for James/Sammie for playing the game so strategically.

HisBetterHalf · 16/10/2019 00:12

Hope Sammie/James wins

PippaPug · 16/10/2019 00:30

James was so cocky tonight! Surely he is only brown nosing to Jan/Paddy/Georgina to hope they will all put him first, like they did?

Really disliking Georgina and James now - Georgina seems to have taken Brooke’s words seriously of not to trust Tim or Woody and Has turned unkind which isn’t a side of her we had seen before

100PercentThatBitch · 16/10/2019 00:32

I think James believes he can manipulate Tim into agreeing to vote Ella but I don't think he can

James immediately said he was protecting Paddy and Georgina and Tim immediately said he was protecting Woody and Ella.

If both stick to their guns the only person who can be voted out is Jan which is an anticlimax

itswinetime · 16/10/2019 00:34

I'm not sure Ella is brown nosing as such or if she is just one of those typical social media type
People who are always tagging various people as their bestie and seems to form deep bounds after 1 night out only to never speak again a week later.

I would actually say Georgina is the biggest brown noser in their and the. Yeah probably followed by James/Sammie.

LittleAndOften · 16/10/2019 00:43

See, no matter what happens, Woody has JOHNNY BALL for a grandad, so as far as I'm concerned he's already winning at life Grin

@NeverTalksToStrangers I like your theory but I'm not sure Tim would actually go through with it. He knows she's his ally...

CardiFree · 16/10/2019 05:50

Last night's was v good.

I agree with a PP. It wouldn't be half as entertaining without Sammi's Machiavellian take on it, he makes the show.

I do wish he'd wear tops more, doesn't feel right to be so familiar with a stranger's nipples.

I hope Jan doesn't go just yet, she's hardly had a chance to get her personality across but as a latecomer she was probably aware that could happen.

Loveislandaddict · 16/10/2019 07:00

Jan holds the power now, if she doesn’t go. There’s two teams of three, she can make the difference to who holds overall power.

I agree, brookes comments has pulled out a not-so nice side of Georgina.

James is clever. However, he does think he has the most noble cause for the money.

ArtistOfTheFloatingWorld · 16/10/2019 07:47

I'm not at all convinced by James/Sammie having honest intentions with the money.... He's obviously very capable of being extremely manipulative and actually quite nasty. I fear the 'Revolution' trio have the momentum now though as I don't think the Tim/Woody/Ella combo will vote as tactically. I guess the public vote is likely to go that way though!

Just hoping Tim can hold out against the pressure from Sammie....

SpanishFly · 16/10/2019 07:48

NeverTalksToStrangers do you know where it's from? I've tried googling to see where they bought the decor, but coming up blank.

I think Tim could be swayed by Sammie. He really feels for her and they've had some lovely chats. If Sammie convinces tim that they have to be strategic and words it correctly, he might just get him to agree. And tim has already shown he can be ruthless. I really like how they've both played the game, to be fair

Scoose · 16/10/2019 08:09

Can't stand Georgina now she's coming across as a nasty person

ItIsWhatItIsInnit · 16/10/2019 08:13

James will have a really hard time getting Tim to bin Ella and he can't win - either Tim will see he's being tactical, or one of the "trio" go home and the one left feels betrayed by Sammie. The only option is for Jan to go really...don't know why they sent her in so late.

Ella is a total brown-nose and the whole "mama bear" thing was so cringe 🤢

This scheming is very entertaining tho - didn't have this last year because everyone just got rated out of 1, so no-one had to team up as they could rate everyone 1s. I'm pretty sure Kate only won because Kate/Freddy/Sian gave everyone 1s and Dan gave Kate a 3. This ordinal scoring means they need to get all tactical.

I like Georgina 🤷‍♀️ It's a game and they're in it to win it

Watching James' power-crazed descent into madness is more entertaining than it should be. They'll be taking him out of the Circle in a butterfly net.
