The Circle is back on tonight (Channel 4, 9:15) and I am soooooo excited

Yes last year the players figured out the star system and rated strategically so despite being unpopular in the circle at times Alex/Kate won he was also popular on the out side so won the public vote to..... I think perhaps with some cough Ella cough knowing the public get a say might well be influencing their reactions....last year the plays didn't know there would be a second vote.

Why is there so much shouting? Surely they would hear each other?

I didn't mind Ella at all til this episode and now she can fuck right off - the producers may have told her to do it though of course...

I don't think they are really based in the apartments that we see in the shots of the building. They are well separated.

Sammie will be an influencer this time, but who with ?

Tim or woody I think.

Did I read somewhere the bottom person is automatically blocked? So maybe an influencer without blocking power?

Interestingly I can’t find any confirmation of how the winner is decided this year and I suspect it may go wholly to a public vote... in which case James/Sammie doesn’t stand a chance.

Haven't commented on this thread before but I am really disliking James and Georgina today. She is really letting herself down. I think James has played it well because people are less suspicious of a mum with lovely baby but his strategy leaves a bad taste in the mouth. Tim, Woody and to a certain extent Ella do seem genuine and so much more likeable for it.

They are all going to be gutted when they realise Charlie isn’t real.

NeverTalksToStrangers I literally just said the same to my son, who just came in for a glass of milk. He didn't give a crap about me liking the rug 🙄

Should be an interesting discussion. Sammie/james will probably accidentally let slip his game plan during the conversation which Tim will deduce. Will Woody be collateral damage (hope not) or Jan? Or will Sammie dump Paddy or Georgina in it? But if that happens, the other person in the trio will no longer trust Sammie.

Tim is going to be the most gutted when he finds out about James. Please let him start to see the truth in the hangout because there is no good reason James can give for getting rid of Ella.

That was interesting. I feel like the level of jeopardy has gone up so much it could be anyone's game (except paddy!).

I'm sad that Woody's being thrown under the bus by Sammie and Georgia, but maybe he's just a bit too naive for this stage of the game. He has definitely won over the public though.

No way is Tim going to allow either Ella or Woody to go, so I'd predict Jan or Paddy to be blocked. Sammie will find it hard to justify Paddy staying to Tim IMO.

I'd say Tim would be most content getting rid of Jan or Paddy. He wouldn't let Woody go, I don't think. James is obviously going to go in gunning for Ella. He may well concede. He feels guilty still for getting rid of Brooke so can't see him wanting to sink Georgina also.

There is no way it can end with just s public vote the whole point is anyone can be anyone but the public see the truth so it defeats the point a bit.

Tim is good at reading what people really mean in message he will start to suss James I think. And James knows tim is smart so he won't be able to push is agenda to far it will end up being someone like jan maybe Georgina going that's my bet anyway

I love this show and think all younger people should be made to watch it. Catfish, keyboard warriors, snakes, the superficial nature of 'besties' when they throw the word around so liberally....the only thing I'd love added would be if the app had some of their conversations on there for us to read as most of the chats we see on screen are very inane and 'hey, how are you' type. Surely there must be deeper conversation happening and I want to see it!

I'm not an Ella fan so will be glad if she goes; she's a little too loud and lary for me.

I don't like James but I think he's playing a cracking game and doing well. I must admit, I'd love to have a go on the show myself and think that while I wouldn't catfish the way he has I'd definitely be more tactical/ruthless than these lot are and I would have a game plan.

But by going for Ella, Sammie/jamie is showing his plans. Tim will smell a rat.

Littleandoften see, I disagree that Tim wouldn't let Ella go. His friendship is with woody, not so much Ella. If Sammie says she feels betrayed by Ella and her brown nosing, he could be swayed.
