Last thread was full.

I posted this in the last thread but will post again here. It’s what I understand they’ve done to Norris’s house.

Thought the music teacher was gay?

timetochangeagainforever · 04/10/2019 22:55

I found the Aisha /Dev scenes really hard to watch and actually found myself shouting at the TV when she was saying she was ugly and looked like dirt. I can't imagine how I'd have felt if I saw those sores on my daughters (20) arms. I thought they played it really well, I was truly moved by the dad / daughter relationship Alisha's suffering and the pain in Dev

EachandEveryone · 04/10/2019 23:29

Yes i thought they were both fantastic. I did well up and im glad it wasnt dragged on.

SomethingPunny · 04/10/2019 23:34

Is the music teacher Huw from Eastenders? I keep forgetting to check the credits

JoxerGoesToStuttgart · 05/10/2019 00:12

Asha actress is really good. She really shows up “one expression Amy” for what a terrible actress she is when they’re together.

Another vote for Asha she was absolutely brilliant tonight.

ellenanora5 · 05/10/2019 12:33

She was very good, it's a good storyline for once, even Dev stepped up his acting, I got quite teary eyed when Asha was saying how she felt, now if she'd any sense she'd get out of corrie and get into some decent dramas, she has the potential to be brilliant I think.

How on earth can Fiz and Tyrone afford that teacher for Hope, it's ridiculous.

I like Debbie too, hope she stays around for a while.

I must be the only one who likes Mary, I find her very good, she can be quite funny sometimes.

IHaveBrilloHair · 05/10/2019 15:58

Plenty of soup for 6 adults, will they be serving it in thimbles?

I like Mary. I think what let’s her down occasionally is the appalling script they give her. She must cringe with shame when she reads some of it.

I thought that too brillo Grin

Do you think they're keeping Aldi away because Asdas acting makes his look all the more awful?

IHaveBrilloHair · 05/10/2019 17:54

I was hoping to see the dinner party with them having a large bowl of the soup each, but alas no food shots at all.

JoxerGoesToStuttgart · 05/10/2019 18:55

The “big dinner” was a complete anticlimax! I expected there to be some point to it- like a showdown between Michelle and Aaliyah. Or some drama at least. We didn’t even see them all around the table!! What was the point of it after all that build up? Nothing happened.

OP posts:
BettyBooJustDoinTheDoo · 05/10/2019 19:01

What was the dinner party on aid of? Honestly a whole episode around it and then.....zero.

JoxerGoesToStuttgart · 05/10/2019 19:21

It was apparently to force Aaliyah and Michelle to be pleasant to each other because they’d be in company. They’d snapped at each other when Aaliyah called over to see Ryan- well Aaliyah was a total cow to Michelle and Michelle snapped back. So Ryan and Dr Ali decided to have the dinner to make them get along.

And then we saw none of it Confused

I think the dinner party may just have been for us to see Maria look suspiciously at Robert & Michelle. Don't she mention something as well about Robert on his 'phone? I zoned out for those scenes.

Deadringer · 05/10/2019 20:49

I liked the scene in the pub when Johnny said it was like an episode of bake off, before marvelling at them bringing food to a chef's house. Reminded me of corrie of old.

woodhill · 05/10/2019 22:08

Yes Asha was great but how did she go out without Dev seeing and her room was huge. 3 beds and a bathroom up there. Dev and his son must sleep in a wardrobe size room each

JoxerGoesToStuttgart · 07/10/2019 19:35

I’d actually forgotten all about sinead being terminally ill! This is how badly planned out and portrayed the story is.

JoxerGoesToStuttgart · 07/10/2019 19:37

ALSO- how awful is that stupid bit of straggly hair hanging down on Paula? Grin

I haven't watched for over 2 weeks now but am keeping informed via this thread. Watching Classic Corrie avidly though!

JoxerGoesToStuttgart · 07/10/2019 21:26

I watched classic Corrie last week. Audrey was distraught that Alf had bought the corner shop back Grin

Thank goodness I'm not the only one who is irritated by that stupid long bit of Paula's hair. My fingers are itching to attack it with my scissors.

huntinghighandlow · 07/10/2019 22:32

I'm selling off old Corrie dvds on eBay but I'm keeping the ones of mine and DP's birth years. In my year, one of the episodes is where Ken's wife electrocutes herself! Will be interesting comparing the episodes with the classic ones twenty years later.

redzebra10 · 08/10/2019 07:44

it was so cringy last night, its like someone writing a school play.
maria telling ali she could fall in love with him cringgggg
michelle and liz hugging in the street , why! they looked really uncomfortable with that scene
and for the love of god if ali is so bloody tired why doesnt he go to bed
