Last thread was full.

I posted this in the last thread but will post again here. It’s what I understand they’ve done to Norris’s house.

Have to say I wouldn't want the last thing I hear in this world to be "We're Going on a Bear Hunt". 😪

eddiemairswife · 25/10/2019 20:29

Oh Lord, not Billy. And of course, rain. I have never been more unmoved by a TV death.

PrincessScarlett · 25/10/2019 20:32

Aaah that was really sad. And Beth has been brilliant doing more serious stuff.

justsotiredallthetime · 25/10/2019 20:33

Tears flowing for the last 60 minutes!

CoolCarrie · 25/10/2019 20:34

I thought that was very moving.

Lobsterquadrille2 · 25/10/2019 20:40

I agree, very moving. I was crying until I read @shearwater's comment 😀

Susiesoap7 · 25/10/2019 21:07

Laughing at Gail having two tiny plaits in her hair!
Which two?

IWorkAtTheCheescakeFactory · 25/10/2019 21:09

She had one on each side of her head.

IWorkAtTheCheescakeFactory · 25/10/2019 21:11

She needs to change her name back to Gail Platt Grin

Deadringer · 25/10/2019 21:13

Sinead's death was as dull as her life unfortunately. The video was just awful, the only thing I found mildly upsetting was poor Auntie Beth. Badly done Corrie writers, badly done.

Honeyroar · 25/10/2019 21:35

I actually thought today's episode was a lot better done. It had a few silly bits (like the mob shouting at Bethany) but overall was pretty realistic.

BettyBooJustDoinTheDoo · 25/10/2019 21:57

I love Tracey, the more Blanche like she gets the better!. I like Beth as well, particularly how she has stepped up to the plate with Sinead, unlike her mother, I thought it was very poignant that Sinead did not say she loved her mother but she told her Auntie Beth she loved her.

IamHyouweegobshite · 25/10/2019 22:20

I found it very moving, and fairly real to life after watching my mum and goddaughter pass. Lots of 😭 here, although I wouldn't want Bear Hunt to be the last thing I hear.

EachandEveryone · 25/10/2019 22:36

Well, i cried all the way through it.

Clawdy · 25/10/2019 22:54

Nope, that did nothing for me. The only moving moments were after she died, when it became more low key and realistic. Daniel is a good actor, Sinead isn't. That says it all.

MonkeyToesOfDoom · 25/10/2019 23:32

I always watch on catch-up, usually whilst surfing the web.. when the first as break came on i swear I thought it was almost the end and had to check.. those first 14 minutes felt longer than Citizen bastard Kane.

PennyRoyal · 25/10/2019 23:47

It was good in parts but daft in others. Couldn't quite work out why they all walked outside in the rain? Why did Daniel wrap little Bertie up in his crocodile coat and walk down the street?

MonkeyToesOfDoom · 25/10/2019 23:56

Why did Daniel wrap little Bertie up in his crocodile coat and walk down the street?

That was the artistic heart string strummer shot.. the rain, the family around, the music etc.. couldn't you just hear the writers saying, "this'll get em cryin' "..
(Didn't work on me.. I am heartless tho..)

PinkDaydreams · 26/10/2019 08:06

@Clawdy I agree, I only cried when Daniel was talking to Bertie about giving him a bath.

Lobsterquadrille2 · 26/10/2019 08:16

I thought Daniel was excellent. I was glad that the script didn't include him saying "it's just you and me now, son" when they got home. The whole Bethany kiss/everyone treating her like a harlot was poorly thought out though.

PinkDaydreams · 26/10/2019 08:40

I’ve missed a couple of episodes recently. Did David really stab josh?

AgentCooper · 26/10/2019 08:44

I cried through the entire thing. Bloody hell. Agree that Daniel was very good.

Gail coming back from Thailand with wee braids in though. That was some much needed levity.

feralfanny · 26/10/2019 09:53

Do we know why Beth was more of a mum to Sinead than her own Mum? They should have covered that story between Beth and her sister and their relationship with Sinead.
I just didn't feel moved at all by any of it and I usually would, especially because she's a mum with a small baby. I think it was too cliche and seemed like they were ticking boxes - vicars speech, rain, family gathering in the pub, talking about previous deaths in the street, that weird breathing in between scenes ... also the Bethany story just kind of got in the way and was just totally unrealistic!
I'm glad it's over to be honest it was tedious

Susiesoap7 · 26/10/2019 09:58

It was alright you critical lot! It's only pretend lol 😂

bobstersmum · 26/10/2019 10:08

I took it that they all went outside so that Billy could say the prayer for her and Daniel went away with Bertie because he didn't want to be there when the undertakers came.
