I posted this in the last thread but will post again here. It’s what I understand they’ve done to Norris’s house.

I have missed two weeks worth and I'm just checking if it's worth ploughing through ? It would seem not (or Emmerdale). Does Sineads oncologist put in an appearance in the last couple of weeks? (If so. I might watch that bit)

They may explore the relationship between Sinead's mum and Aunty Beth over the funeral run up. I hope they don't start shouting at Bethany. Tracy annoyed me how she's totally forgiven Daniel but yelled at Bethany. I wonder what will happen with that storyline?

Ps the breathing thing and fading in and out of consciousness were meant to emulate what often happens, I would imagine.

For me, they did a much more accurate job with the last episode than I expected after the crap episodes running up to it.

I've only seen bits here and there but agree it was a rediculous move to throw in the Bethany cheating bit. They ruined it.

The Bethany bit was rubbish - although you could at least see this storyline building, they should have left it until after Sinead died, as it could have been quite interesting.

I thought last night was very good - including Daniel reading to Bertie as she quietly passed away. Very sad.

As I was watching the last episode and it kept showing Ches, it made me wonder if he will ask Gemma if they can call one of the quads Sinead, we will see!

I thought it was done quite well, I didn't mind Daniel reading bear hunt because a couple of weeks ago when Sinead was told she was terminal her and Daniel compared it to going on a bear hunt and he said "we can't go over it, we can't go under it, we have to go through it" so I thought that was quite special.

PinkDaydreams, we don't know if David stabbed Josh. Everything indicates he did it but I think Josh stabbed himself. He was goading David and deliberately winding him up because I think he wanted David to stab him as otherwise he faces years of daily attacks in prison.

@PrincessScarlett that’s what I’m thinking, josh stabbed himself! Wasn’t sure if they’d shown David doing it though.

ajandjjmum yes! I felt like the writers were still making up their minds as they went along, like when they had all the Bethany and Daniel stuff a few weeks back they hadn’t actually decided Sinead was going to die, like the only thing at stake was her and Daniel’s wedding.

It all felt pretty cruel tbh. Having Sinead finish treatment after stopping the chemo temporarily, all those weeks where she was so anxious about getting cancer again (like when Beth took that photo of Bertie with the where’s mummy caption and Emma’s dad died of cancer) and then she finds a lump on her bloody wedding day? Lars Von Trier levels of misery, I was saying to DH last night. DH was pretty upset by it as it brought back this time last year when his childhood friend who had cancer deteriorated very fast and died.

@Mairyhinge Auntie Beth is a very good actress, the way she can flit from comedy to sadness is amazing! I was very upset at the end when Kirk helped Beth along the street at the end, she looked positively heartbroken!

I cried through most of it too. I remember watching Alma's death bed scene and thinking that I'd hate to have a crowd of people round my bed like that. I thought the breathing/ screen going blank was effective. As a Christian myself, I found Billy's prayer very moving and glad that Billy and Sinead talked about God and the afterlife.

Do we know why Beth was more of a mum to Sinead than her own Mum?

I presumed it's because Beth is paid a salary, whereas Sinead's mum is on a pay-per-episode contract.

I sort of assumed Sinead’s mum didn’t take to motherhood very well and therefore wasn’t v good at it. When she mentioned about not knowing her fav biscuit it’s like she wasn’t around for her much when she growing up. The gran said ‘shall I brush your hair like I used to?’ Like she did a lot of the bringing up and Beth obv living on the same street as her and seeing her daily would have brought them close together.

Whose house did she die in? I thought they were in their flat with the palliative care nurse earlier in the week with the Christmas episode, but then Daniel went to the flat with Bertie after she died.

She was in their flat, but Daniel took Bertie out before the undertaker removed the body, and returned later.

Beth’s really irritating me now. How dare she’s say Daniel doesn’t deserve to have his son! he kissed a woman- he didn’t beat a puppy to death FGS! I’m assuming she’s going to start a war over access to Bertie now.

Where is Steve, have I missed an explanation or has he just disappeared and nobody has mentioned it?
