Much as I got annoyed with this series I will watch series 2 if it comes to ITV!

Loopytiles, so will I, I expect! I've googled this second series and already found out plot things even without seeing it yet, so I'll be prepared. I was team Sidney, but Tom Weston-Jones was a bit nice in the Ken Follet thing so I think I might be team Lennox(?) this time. It's good for all human beings to have something to look forward to, a new book or TV programme or day out. The anticipation is part of the pleasure.

I've just binge watched the first series. Fortunately I had read about the controversial ending.

I thought it would be dross and I loved it! Sadly 3 of the men aren't returning ( I really liked Mr Stringer ) but I shall start series 2 tonight.

Re series 2, are there new episodes weekly on BritBox

If so what day do they come on?

They were available last night so from midnight Sunday I guess.

Two episodes so far.

I haven't got Britbox so I shall wait until it comes on to ITV later this year but I've already read synopses of what's happened, in a loose sort of way, in the first two episodes.

I've changed my frippy mind since 22.03.22, on the strength of You Tube excerpts from the episodes shown so far, all two of them, and might be going to be team Colbourne when I see the whole show.

I've been watching on Britbox and it's now 4 episodes in. I'm not going to post any spoilers, but I'm enjoying this more than the first series. Now that it has firmly moved away from the Jane Austen unfinished novel label, I think it's finding its feet and is easier to accept as another piece of Regency era entertainment that's not taking itself too seriously.

Well, it finally got very slightly interesting in episode 5.

Is anyone finding it difficult to watch episode 5? I can't seem to find it on Britbox Amazon Prime service??? Where is it ??

Is the Sanditon on ITV on Friday a repeat or the new series anyone know?

Thanks kazza I missed it anyway! Hopefully if they're showing it again it's because they are going to show the new one soon.

I've finally git around to watching series 1.

Hated that Esther did well for herself.

She was just as scheming as Clara & if I understood correctly, happy enough for Edward to force himself on Clara to ruin her!

Didn't really care that Sidney & Charlotte didn't end up together as she seemed far to young/immature for him.

Can't believe that Stringer didn't go to London!

Is the 2nd series any good?

Just seen that Edward, Esther & Clara are all still in in which puts me off!

I loved series 2. It's not perfect of course but neither was S1. I'd say it was a slow burn but well worth watching.

Is series 2 coming to ITV? I don't have Britbox but would,try it for a month if it was the only way to watch.

Were either of you particularly rooting for Charlotte & Sidney?

Series 2 will be on ITV sometime after the repeats of S1 have finished so end of August maybe? Or get a Britbox trial and binge watch, it's only 6 episodes?

diddl No, not especially. I spent the first 4 episodes thinking " this can't be the hero". He got a bit better and if it had been a single, traditional, series with the usual ending I' d have been ok with it but I much preferred Stringer

I am very happy with how things have progressed and really look forward to S3. (I don't want to be more specific because of spoilers. )

All I am saying is S2 was more enjoyable.

I went from “this is a bit ho hum” to “ooh, I absolutely love this”. 😆

Think S2 is much better than S1.

I held off for a while and then watched S2 on Britbox. No spoilers here, except I am quite happy that I did, and I look forward to watching it again on ITV in a few weeks time.
