Will we find out who killed her

Was it boyfriend ?

Have hazy memory of last episode

May have to rewatch

Not sure what plot they can use for this series

Who is ej?

Last weeks was a bit boring. Snake bit and fire

How will it end

And worn Joanie

OP posts:
lazymum99 · 04/11/2019 00:34

EJ was the young man Joanie met on montawk. The one who knew all about the history of her family.

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/11/2019 08:21

Oh the one she shagged

OP posts:
happilybemused · 04/11/2019 08:32

Definitely think there's a chance that EJ is Vik and Sienna's son. Would provide a way of connecting Joanie to Noah so he can introduce them.

Would also explain his random love of old movies and quotes from them if his mum and grandmother were actresses.

Findumdum1 · 04/11/2019 23:05

anyone else seen the last one yet?

Thegreymethod · 04/11/2019 23:19

@Findumdum1 I have!! I watched it today. So sad it's over, I've really enjoyed this series with the exception of one of the episodes

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/11/2019 13:33

I think it’s on tonight for us 10pm ish

Findumdum1 · 05/11/2019 13:35

yes I think this series redeemed itself somewhat with this wrap up episode - was quite emotional.

Passthebubbly · 05/11/2019 16:01

Ohhh I don’t want it to end. Has had its ups and downs but I have loved this series. I don’t think Noah and Helen will get back together though

BillieEilish · 05/11/2019 17:25

I cried! Enjoy, and if you're a fan of the 'Waterboys' song you will cry even more.

(That is in no way a spoiler btw!)

I really enjoyed it.

Passthebubbly · 05/11/2019 17:51

Ohhhhh can’t wait till 9pm - am so hoping we see them as old people all happy and settled I.e. in Joanies story

PearlsBeforeWine · 05/11/2019 21:40

Whitney is such a beautiful bride..

Tana433 · 05/11/2019 22:39

Well thats me an emotional wreck for the rest of the night. Loved it, so sad its over but all tied up quite nicely i thought.

DuchessMinnie · 05/11/2019 22:41

That ending was perfect. Very emotional!

PearlsBeforeWine · 05/11/2019 22:44

Horrible to think that one day my.entire life will just be a memory, somebody's story, summed up on a gravestone.

I need to find my dog for a cuddle now.

PearlsBeforeWine · 05/11/2019 22:50

I will say thought that the Whitneys boyfriend suddenly becoming a normal person was inconceivable

And I wanted to know what happened with Sierra, how her life panned out.

ViserionTheDragon · 05/11/2019 22:51

Loved the ending! Wish we had more information about some of the other characters' endings, but on the whole, it was great. The Waterboys song was PERFECT and fit in very well.

TheNinkiestNonk · 05/11/2019 23:20

I loved the ending! The Joanie flashbacks although they bored me throughout all came together in that last episode. The dance was fab!

WhatTimeIsItCuckoo · 06/11/2019 00:22

Very emotional! Have watched The Affair from the very beginning and loved the whole thing. Thought this last episode was wonderful. I'm in floods now, great song choice and Noah dancing at the end 😭😭 Also the gravestones of Helen and her parents, and the fact that her mum had lived to be 100 😊 Great cast, will miss it for sure 😔

Thegreymethod · 06/11/2019 00:44

I really enjoyed it and thought it was the perfect ending, tv series don't always get the last episode right and it leaves you deflated after all the hours you've put in watching it, like an anti climax but I loved this one, would have liked to see old Helen with Noah but was touching that he was at her grave, the episode a few weeks ago with all the allegations really annoyed me because I thought we've watched this character over the last 5 years and he's not been perfect by any means (although he did go to prison for something he didn't do so Helen wouldn't have to be away from the children...... when Whitney was being so awful to him last week I wanted Helen to tell her!!) but he wasn't what they were accusing him of!! I read an interview with creator and she said everyone kept asking her why they were doing that to Noah and she wanted to tell them it didn't matter Noah will be fine he'll outlive everyone and be the last one and I hadn't thought about it like that!

PollyPelargonium52 · 06/11/2019 07:18

Brilliant series and so love Noah. Nice bit of eye candy too. I am going to keep the last episode on record so I can enjoy oggling at him now and again lol.

Whitney168 · 06/11/2019 12:02

Loved the ending, and actually enjoyed the Joanie stuff in this episode having disliked nearly all of her previous bits.

It's had its highs and lows, as all series do over several seasons - but overall I've really enjoyed The Affair.

Figgygal · 06/11/2019 14:25

Great last episode

happilybemused · 06/11/2019 15:29

I loved it and also cried.

I liked that Noah gave Joanie the advice that should have been given to himself and Alison.

That marriages are hard and instead of running away and reinventing herself with someone else she should try and make it work.

cheesewitheverything · 06/11/2019 16:14

@happilybemused ha, that's so true - Noah should have stuck it out with Helen, definitely. It's like he only really saw her properly at the end. I loved the penultimate episode where Helen got the chance to say how devastated she had been when Noah left her, really hit him with it. The ending made me cry which is very unusual for me and liked the light touch of it, the kids all sitting outside the motel room waiting for their parents was really sweet and the flash mob dance at the wedding was lovely and built up to that ending on the cliff top...really well done. Noah doing his final dance was cheesy, but actually just thinking about it now as I write makes me well up again!
