3 different ladies and how they cope trying to keep afloat with their lives

If his ‘needs’ aren’t being met by his wife why doesn’t he go to a prostitute instead of tapping up the local physio?

I have thought about this and concluded that it’s because he has no chance of getting any freebies from a prostitute. (Mind you, £3k would have bought him a fair few sessions from a prostitute!) He’s just think that he’s a right snake and I reckon he likes the power over her, he can easily try to blackmail her if she’s got stuff to lose. Prostitutes can refuse to do stuff, so they have control (unless controlled by a pimp/drug habit etc)

(Spoiler alert) In Episode 2 He had a thing about being clean too, so probably thinks that prostitutes are “dirty” especially if they are having sex with so many people. Whereas the physio, presumably, only had sex with her husband at that time so seen as more “virtuous”. Maybe he also liked the power trip of fucking someone else’s wife without their knowledge.

I skipped through the episodes and later on she said that the physical part was actually quite enjoyable, but the minute she gets naked he takes one look and turns the light off - what a bloody cheek! That would have turned me right off and I would have yelled “what, you don’t like the sight of stretch marks, eh, does it remind you that I’m somebody’s mum?!” And told him to fuck himself, and done a big flounce Grin

CurlyhairedAssassin · 16/08/2019 12:55

They just could have made it more realistic. SHE should have been the one asking for the light to be turned off. And I don’t buy for one minute that she found the sex part enjoyable, surely it would have been a lie back and think of England thing. Which was maybe what his wife did, so what was the point?

In reality he would have hooked up with someone for free on Tinder to get his rocks off.

jimloop · 16/08/2019 14:55

watched whole thing as had a couple of evenings on my own - utter tripe!

The80sweregreat · 16/08/2019 15:06

I'm so sad it's not popular as the books are pretty good !

LoopyGremlin · 16/08/2019 15:07

@Iamdobby63
I’m also easily pleased as I am enjoying it!

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/08/2019 15:18

I’m enjoying. Easy watching

I remember when I did panto many moons ago there were rules about hours and ages. I think it was under 14?

I've watched first 3. I'm just getting into it and actually want to watch number 4 just to see where it's going.

Can't work out if I like it or not yet!

Housewife2010 · 16/08/2019 19:57

I've just finished episode 3 and it's definitely perked up.

mizu · 18/08/2019 09:48

Ok, finished and despite enjoying it a little for the 1st few episodes it was pretty shite.
The last episode was bad. Really bad.

Lindormilk · 18/08/2019 20:36

Well just finished episode 6.
Still don’t know what she did to her kid🤔🤔🤔

BigcatLittlecat · 21/08/2019 21:17

Just watching episode 2 now! It's so bad it's good! But I cannot cope with Anna Friel, so wooden and what's happened to her mouth?

Xmasbaby11 · 21/08/2019 21:33

It's pretty bad and none of the stories ring true. However I'm on holiday and it's easy viewing ... I'm quite enjoying it!

The80sweregreat · 22/08/2019 09:57

Its different to the book and that is annoying me!

thecatsthecats · 22/08/2019 15:42

I'm just watching it because my friend's parent's house was used for filming, and they used my primary school too!

(no way would they all be in the catchment area - just Sinead Keenan)

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/08/2019 19:47

Anyone watch it last nights in real time so e2

Just watching now. If her daughter had a call surely the police would be tracking missing girls phone

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/08/2019 22:18

NotStayingIn · 24/08/2019 23:30

I’ve watched the whole series now and did enjoy it, but god it’s a lot of nonsense isn’t it. You really have to switch your brain off as otherwise you’re constantly going to find fault.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 25/08/2019 08:27

I'm another one who binge-watched it. It could have been so good but was so bad...The Lake District scenery was stunning though.

AnyFucker · 25/08/2019 08:32

That was a whole lot of enjoyable tripe Smile

Ermmm....thanks for the spoiler!!!

swissmilk · 25/08/2019 21:52

Shoot! Sorry, I've reported my post, I thought that the thread was ok for spoilers as all the episodes had been released

Piggywaspushed · 25/08/2019 22:02

I hate bingexwatching. But no worries as nothing in this programme would surprise me!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/08/2019 20:34

Same as piggy. I never binge.

NICE to have something to look forward to - even if tripe 😂😂

Love Steven Cree, so tried to watch it, can’t stand Anna Friel.

Gave up after episode 2
