I completely agree that it's a mystery that Cassie lives to design another day - she should have been booted out after that godawful dust-trapping frilly hotel nightmare. But I did like the green restaurant, which bore all the hallmarks of Ju's influence. Thank goodness, otherwise I suspect they'd have been for the chop.

I still cannot stand Frank. Tears or no tears. He's a mega-bitch behind people's backs then goes to pieces on the sofa (and I felt they'd be doomed the minute they said they were going to install a pink velvet banquette.....just about the least practical thing you could ever think of in a restaurant!).

There are too many team challenges, not enough time or budget and interaction and judging from the clients. Where are the mood boards?

There was one challenge that required a lead role. Why did Cassie think it was ok to take over.

Frank talked Nicki out of painting the front. Nicki said all the wrong things in the sofa. Comfortable seats are a necessity over the floor they chose. Gutted Frank is still in it.

Interesting about the restaurants! Frank had grown on me.

IMO most producers seem to think that the audience needs some sort of , dramatic tension (jeopardy) in the programmes. Therefore everything is given too little time to be finished properly, the clients are not involved throughout and the contestants are not allowed to work on their own (which is not how it would work in reality.). it pisses me off actually.

Nicki's blog post about the restaurant episode is finally up!
It seems such a low budget & harsh considering it was a third larger than the restaurant next door.

Also a 10 minute conversation with the clients is nowhere near enough!

I feel like this show could be treated more like Bake off which is known for being nice. Not faux bitchy dramatic blah de blah.

I know she's going to put a positive spin on her own work but it does seem very unfair that they had a bigger space with no extra budget and looking at the shop front again, I do agree that it wouldn't have been ok to paint over the branding without the owners' agreement.

I think the cushions would have made a big difference!

DD thinks Cassie is going tonight, leaving Ju and Frank the Wank in the final for drama, and that Ju is going to win.

She's definitely my favourite remaining!
Although I've warmed to Frank. I'm hoping Cassie goes tonight. I think it's Hairdressers? I wonder if they'll need to think about sinks and mirrors... I hope they've got one each

Where does Frank live? It looked extremely familiar the bit of the houses that they showed.

Cassie's brief was light and airy and she is going to paint it all dark green and fill it with clutter.

Other than pep-talk, will there be any other input from the mentors?

At this rate Cassie's still going to be applying gold leaf whilst the other two are in the final.

Frank has grown in me too.
I could live in Ju's house, I love it.

With bleach, dye and teeny hairs knocking about.
Makes sense.

Ju could take a shit in the middle of the salon and her scheme would still go through to the final.

Well it's not like they'll ever need washing is it, just let the random bleach splashes do it for you.

And the bleach stains can then be covered by tiny short hairs.
