We are watching Channel 4, UK Pace.

We have only seen episodes 1 - 4 so far.

Do you think they might try to take back Nichole? Is this a trap?

Why the fuck would Luke agree to that ?

The first thought would be that Nicole would be snatched and taken back to Gilead, surely ?

Really? Really? the Waterford give themselves away infront of one of the revered archirects of Gilead?

This meeting won't end well.

It's increasingly implausible.

Both that Fred should become this caring husband so concerned with the feelings of the wife whose finger he had chopped off just a few months ago, and that Luke would ever agree to go along with such an obviously dodgy plan.

still gutted they wrote Nick out without a backwards glance. I'm still not feeling the love and chemistry between June and Luke.

Did Fred pass Serena a piece of paper with writing on it? He said “it says here she’s has a tooth” then slid the paper to her. It had the baby footprints on it, but I’m assuming the information also. In which case, Serena isn’t allowed to read that. She had a finger removed in the last season for asking if women could read the bible.

I think the “goodbye” is a trap. I think Serena has double crossed June or Fred has double crossed Serena. Possibly more likely the latter.

Why didn’t June wake for Hannah to be freed? Or herself and Hannah? Why not go for whatever she could and negotiate backwards?

I find it odd that they keep calling Luke "your husband". June was made a handmaid and Luke should have been dead because they had been "living in sin" with Luke having been married before. It surprises me that they acknowledge Luke as June's husband.

I don't think they have written Nick out, have they?

I suspect he will become crucial later on.

Maybe Luke thinks June is in fear of her life and that's why he said yes.

I don't think June had enough leverage to ask for Hannah to get out.

Also, fred said luke “had his first child baptised”. Luke only has one child. NIchole isn’t his and wouldn’t be recognised as his by Fred or any of the men there. That was a weird thing to say.

she's packing

It's so slow moving at the moment. I feel like the next scene should have been straight onto the airport meeting just to get things moving a bit. So many facial expressions and so little story!

Yes it's little things like this which annoy me. They've forgotten what a very bizarre and singular place Gilead is. It's lost the unique weirdness of the earlier series.

Is the package from June?

I can't work out how they got permission to land the plane in Toronto when a trade deal was not agreed. Why would Canada allow the plane and a visit?
