Has anyone else seen the first episode?

I watched all of season 1 again yesterday in preparation.

Merry Streep was really good and I love Reese Witherspoon.

I had predicted Celeste might be pregnant this series but apparently not.

I know what you mean about some characters being more annoying but I think Madeline and Laura Dern and Celeste are playing more enhanced versions of themselves which to me suggests that they are all struggling in some way. I'm wondering what is going on with Madeline - she seems so clueless and lacking in empathy about why Bonnie is so shut down. I'm intrigued as to how it is going to play out.

There's a film called Adrift on Netflix with the actress who plays Ziggy's mum in it,really good and looks completely different,took me ages to figure out where I knew her from!

I don’t like her in this. Might watch the film and see. Wasn’t she in one of the teen films. Divergent, perhaps?

Just watched this week's episode, I like this series whereas I absolutely loved the last series. I can't really see where this is going, so we're all going to be absolutely amazed at the massive twist, or it's just going to be a bit, meh

She was in The Fault in Our Stars as well..

I am enjoying season two but not sure where it is going. Too much reflection and flash back for my liking. All those scenes with Bonnie and the water.

I thought the little Bo Peep scene was very Californian!

Remember it was Bonnie’s husband who asked Edd to talk to Bonnie. I want him and Madeline to work it out.

I mainly watch it for the music and the scenery. We holidayed in that area last year and I love spotting places that we went to. It brings back some great memories.

Yes I'm not hugely enjoying this season. Nicole Kidman just looks silly and is badly playing a character who should be 10 years younger - at least- than she is. The masturbation scene was just tedious.

I'm loving the Meryl Streep character though - scarily she's very reminiscent look wise of my DM.

Meryl Streep could sit im front of a camera burping and scratching her armpits and I would pay to watch it.

I feel the same way about Toni Collette. God I wish they could find a way to put her in this. She'd be amazing.

S2 is really slow. And awful. Im not really enjoying it so far.

As usual music is superb. Even Dh commented it was!

I read that the making another of her books into a film too,can't remember which one.

So, I realise that all the parents are different ages with Jane and Bonnie being young mums and Celeste and Renee being older mums. But it does become a bit unrealistic when you realise that, in real life, Nicole Kidman was engaged to Lenny Kravitz when Zoe Kravitz was about 15 and that Laura Dern plays Shalene's mum in TFIOS
