I thought I'd start a thread for discussing series 3 episode one of The Handmaid's Tale to be shown on Channel 4 at 9pm on 9th June 2019.

Why is it so dark?!?!
Compared to S8 of Game of Thrones, this is lit quite effectively.

I wonder if we will look back on this era of mumbly, badly lit TV drama and think WTF?

That was a fantastic episode.

The actresses are brilliant and can display the emotions so wonderfully. I was really in it with them.

Its not good for my nerves, though. Proper panicked when they crossed the river.
