I was a lurker on the last thread, I didn't post much, but I loved all of your comments. So the last one was full, here's another one

Oh yeah. Remember when Toyah became a counsellor just like that. No quals no nothing Grin

Eastie77 · 01/09/2019 13:17

Toyah has been to the school of life, no need for qualifications. Trying to pass of someone else's baby as her own showed how balanced she is and perfectly equipped to counsel others.

Residents regularly walk into Roy's or the Bistro to ask for a job, don a pinny on the spot and are ready to work without any catering experience.

JemimaTab · 01/09/2019 16:32

Baffled as to why only Bessie St will do when Urp has been in a completely different school and city for months.
I can’t bear the Geoff storyline. I actually fast forward those bits. He really is awful and I never understood why Yasmin would be with him in the first place. She seems like a thoughtful intelligent type and he is a charmless gurning buffoon. Also, why is he living with Tim? I thought he’d only moved in with Yasmin temporarily because he did his back in or something - why not move back to his own place? Anyway the sooner this storyline is over with the better.

x2boys · 01/09/2019 17:32

Why do all the streets kids have to to.Bessie street school anyway ,Weatherfiled is hardly a very rural areas with just one small school, where I live there's a community primary behind my house, s C of E primary school across the road, and two Catholic primary schools about 10 minutes walk in opposite directions ,.

eddiemairswife · 01/09/2019 17:39

And as for all her friends being there, she has been away for a year, the friends will have made new friends and she might find it difficult to settle back in.
I wonder if Fiz got a job while they were away.

millimat · 01/09/2019 20:05

Jan and Rachel were married?!

Optimist1 · 01/09/2019 21:04

@millimat - I wouldn't stake my life on it, but I felt sure that in one scene where Jan, Rachel and the other people trafficking man were in the salon together, there was mention of Jan and Rachel being married. Could definitely be wrong, though!

nildesparandum · 01/09/2019 21:13

I agree about the quads.A special (free of course) baby minder will have them 24 hours while Gemma and Chesterfields go to work and socialise in the pub.
All of a sudden they will appear when a storyline involving "The Quads" is needed
They can't use Rita as she is always in the pub as well.
Watch this space

MonkeyToesOfDoom · 01/09/2019 21:24

I think corrie tried to make it look like Yan and Rachel were married but she was actually married to the other nastier guy.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 01/09/2019 22:29

@JemimaTab. I’m sure the actor who plays Geoff would be delighted that you hate his character. It means he’s doing his job well.

Deadringer · 01/09/2019 23:00

Wasn't Rachel married to Nikolai, the other baddie. Can't believe she shot Jan in broad daylight in front of loads of witnesses. And wouldn't it have been more realistic if she had run him down with her car, rather than shooting him? Dev has a flat over his shop that Mary could live in doesn't he, or does someone else live there? I forget who lives where in Corrie.

Clawdy · 02/09/2019 07:53

Yes, that shooting was witnessed by lots of people, and she strolled back to the car!

JoxerGoesToStuttgart · 02/09/2019 09:20

I think Daniel and Sinead (And Adam?) are in the flat above Devs shop.

MrsSteveMcDonald · 02/09/2019 09:28

Daniel, Sinead and Adam live in the flat above Dev's shop. Do Beth and Kirk live above the kebab shop?

Deadringer · 02/09/2019 12:26

Yes of course they do I had forgotten. I honestly don't know where half of them live. Do Beth and Kirk live over the flower shop, it used to be the betting office? They built a block of appartments which should have solved the housing crisis and the necessity for elastic houses but hardly anyone seems to live in them.

keepondreaming · 02/09/2019 14:50

Wasn't there some sort of deal between Carla and Beth/Kirk for them to live somewhere rent free in return for passing info? Is that still ongoing?

MonkeyToesOfDoom · 02/09/2019 17:28

Speaking of Beth, what happened with her selling shares? Not seen her, Kirk or thst Paul for ages.

MrsSteveMcDonald · 02/09/2019 17:31

Billy, Summer and Sean live above the flower shop

JoxerGoesToStuttgart · 02/09/2019 19:44

Haven’t we already had a “hope trapped in abandoned factory” storyline?

thenightsky · 02/09/2019 20:04

Craig needs a bra!

PleasedToSeeYou · 02/09/2019 20:31

Do you think the different writers actually see how it's cobbled together?
It's becoming a mess

thenightsky · 02/09/2019 20:47

So was it Hope who set the fire? Looks like exile in Birmingham didn't work then...

DaveCoachesgavemetheclap · 02/09/2019 21:34

I'm confused. Evelyn gave Rubeh some ice cream, then she & Hawp went upstairs for a bath/jimjams and then came down for dinner? Or did I lapse into a boredom induced coma & miss the passage of time?

HesterLee · 04/09/2019 10:07

Don't Beth and Kirk live above the kebab shop?

eddiemairswife · 04/09/2019 21:26

I see Faye has re-appeared. I thought she had gone to the North-East to live with Anna. Is she still at school?
