Why not give the money to his poor wife? I think that was his plan before he found out who John was

Rangeloaf · 05/05/2019 22:45

I called the lawyer out as the main dodgy person way up thread.

It’s definately Ted (see what I did there)

Imnotbent · 05/05/2019 22:45

How did Steve guess morse code by looking at a still frame?

Four dots is a bit of a leap from what could be a twitch as he was dying.

Its left me feeling a bit meh

Taswama · 05/05/2019 22:45

optimist - the note said - couldn’t wait any longer, gone to cinema as promised.

Isitmybathtimeyet · 05/05/2019 22:45

PC Tranter didn’t look dead as she was whizzed out of AC12 on a trolley. Too much to hope she would just tell them who gives her orders?

WhoWants2Know · 05/05/2019 22:46

Hastings May have been telling the truth about his visit to banks. He may have just been pressing for information. He hadn't taken any pains to hide his visit.

ElenadeClermont · 05/05/2019 22:46

Thank you for explaining PC Simon.

Reddedder · 05/05/2019 22:46

I got the impression that Dot was saying there were 4 people. Dot, Hilton, Gill and...what I don’t get is that she would definitely know who H was then so why give immunity without getting that out of her. Doesn’t make sense.

ButtonMooooon · 05/05/2019 22:46

I need to go and rewatch Dot's dying declaration to see if the tapping was in it!! Or have they refilmed that after deciding on the ridiculous morse code storyline?

SundayMondayHappydays · 05/05/2019 22:46

@Optimist1
It was a note from her husband saying as she was late home he'd already taken their son to the cinema as promised.
Guilt trip.

Northumberlandlass · 05/05/2019 22:46

Lisa lied about who slashed Corbett’s throat. It was Ryan. She said they were all dead!

AngelinaNeurosurgeon · 05/05/2019 22:46

I thought that was excellent, although when Biggeloe was revealed as the baddy by Kate and Steve I was expecting her to peel off a mask and say she'd have got away with it if it wasn't for those pesky AC12 officers. Grin
One question, the officer who stabbed Biggeloe - why? Obviously she's instructed by H but at what point did she get the order from above? And did she reveal anything about where she'd getting her orders?

Reddedder · 05/05/2019 22:47

I think it’s Hastings now. She knew and that’s why nothing was said. Pains me to say it though

Justaboy · 05/05/2019 22:47

Didnt Jed Mercurio use the mose trick in a scene from Bodygaurd someone was tapping out messages with his finger whilst being interviewed?.

Isitmybathtimeyet · 05/05/2019 22:47

Actually they are dripping with people who should be able to help them work out who the baddies are, but they just seem to keep giving them immunity and sending them off!

Reddedder · 05/05/2019 22:48

I don’t think using morse code is ridiculous. It’s well known in the police and not many people outwith it would know so it makes sense to use it

TheCaddyisaBaddie · 05/05/2019 22:48

I think Lise is recruiting for the ocg not trying to educate them away from crime.

Ryan is going to be fast tracked through the ranks and be a bent bastard.

The link with Denman and the other Denman on the Sands View list is still out there.

Why was Leione (sp) body kept in the freezer like Jackie Laverty? My guess is that the ocg planted DNA but Roz changed this to Ifield's instead to save herself.

RandomlyChosenName · 05/05/2019 22:48

Who was the tribute to at the end?

Loved the episode minus the Morse code bit. Also loved that the Catholic/Protestant ness of Hastings name was mentioned after you all thoroughly discussed it earlier in the threads!

MrsDoylesTeaBags · 05/05/2019 22:48

Simon Banerjee was a bend copper too, he was the one who kidnapped Lyndsey Denton in Series 2.
I think Ryan is going into the police as an inside OCG.
I don't know WtF else is going on though, I was convinced Lisa was undercover.

Justaboy · 05/05/2019 22:49

Obviously she's instructed by H but at what point did she get the order from above?

Wasnt she texting someone in the background in the final scencs before suggesing she might like to use the lav?

Janus · 05/05/2019 22:50

That’s what I said now , if it was Hastings he would have blinked straight away at A in hAstings.
So there’s another someone out there that’s ‘bent’ and that will be the next series. Is it Bungalow’s boss??
Glad they saved Ted, never thought it was him!

Isitmybathtimeyet · 05/05/2019 22:50

No, Simon Bannerjee was a nice PC who wanted to save Ryan from a life of crime in series 1.

The officer who stabbed Gill got a message to do it once Gill had sent her request for help. They wanted her silenced rather trying to rescue her.

Rangeloaf · 05/05/2019 22:51

If Hastings is innocent why did Bigelow go to those lengths to incriminate him? I don’t understand the point. Now everyone thinks / knows he’s innocent and nothing changed

NoWordForFluffy · 05/05/2019 22:51

Ryan has been wiped out of OCG history so he can succeed in his new role in the police. It'll take a while before he's useful in there too.

I thought Kate's husband had left her, so was pleasantly surprised they'd only gone to the cinema. He clearly doesn't understand the job (or make any effort to), so they're doomed. I doubt they'll be together next series.

Steve's addicted to painkillers. (Do these affect your ability to get / maintain an erection?)
