Anyone watch?
Such an affecting programme
I felt so bad for the old woman when she was scared
But couldn't understand why she didn't go get hearing aids it would have improved her quality of life so much

How I would love to take a pair of scissors to that beard. I thought it was repulsive. Imagine the food residue and saliva clinging to it. 🤮

Toddlerteaplease · 01/06/2019 12:50

Beards like that make my skin crawl.

purpleme12 · 01/06/2019 14:07

It wasn't just me then that thought he was 'odd' being like that. I thought maybe I'd missed something as the man with him didn't say anything back and no one was saying anything on here.
The other man with him just seemed to stay quiet and in the background a lot in general. It seemed like he was a paramedic too so not sure why he was in the background so much

@purpleme12 he's a pretty quiet guy in general, always has been

purpleme12 · 01/06/2019 14:44

Do you know him?

Jeez, poor bloke. Slated for having a beard.

I doubt it's got in the way of his life saving skills or his bedside manner.

As for the way he was with his colleague, a bully? From a few minutes on screen. I actually thought they probably just didn't gel as well as other crews. It is bound to happen, they can't all be best friends.

YesQueen · 01/06/2019 15:42

@purpleme12 yes, worked with him when he first started Smile

This is becoming a bit nasty now, those beard comments are rather pathetic.

AlexaAmbidextra · 01/06/2019 17:01

I doubt it's got in the way of his life saving skills or his bedside manner.

There’s a chance it’s an infection risk though. I’m surprised they’re allowed in healthcare settings tbh.

@Clawdy

There are only 2 comments about his manky beard?!

I thought he was a bit of an arse too if I'm honest. At the end of the day I couldn't give a hoot ... he can do his job, that's the main thing.

purpleme12 · 29/06/2019 00:05

Yesterday's isn't coming up on iPlayer :-(

That lady who was 103 years old (Winnie?), what a gem. Can't even imagine getting to that age, I wouldn't want to go in to hospital either in that situation.

Hepzibar · 04/07/2019 21:58

The paramedic was fantastic with her, no wonder she kissed him.

I am totally in awe of the ambulance service and the paramedics, what lovely, caring human beings they are.

And have the patience of a Saint

covetingthepreciousthings · 04/07/2019 22:18

I felt really sorry for Marjory, I know it's a massive waste of the ambulance services time to have someone call them so much etc, but hope she can go into a home soon, it can't be much of a life to live like that. Sad
