You could be right, SinkGirl. My brain is a bit frazzled now anyway! Smile

MrsChollySawcutt · 23/04/2019 11:20

Ooh a do you think Mrs Hs new fella could be James Lakewell??

Cannothtinkofaname · 23/04/2019 11:44

I need one of those white boards that they use in police dramas, with a photo of everybody and arrows referencing them all! I just can't keep track Confused

NoWordForFluffy · 23/04/2019 11:49

It'd have to be the size of your entire wall to get it all on!

MargotMoon · 23/04/2019 11:50

There's never going to be answers to all these questions! Sad

whatashower · 23/04/2019 12:07

I usually love suspense, red herrings and misdirection but tbh I would actually pay good money to know what happens right now - and just get it over and done with 🤣. I think I am so over-invested in Ted and have already seen too many key characters die in GOT that I am not enjoying this as much as I should.

I don't want Ted, Steve or Kate to be corrupt AND I don't want Ted, Steve or Kate to be shot or deaded.

Sadly unless this is all a Dallas type dream sequence I don't think there is any plausible scenario that will explain any of this sorry mess satisfactorily without some of the above. 😫

beanaseireann · 23/04/2019 12:15

My sentiments exactly whatashower !

Magicpaintbrush · 23/04/2019 12:19

Gutted John has gone - I was really enjoying his performance :-( Excellent actor.

MrsChollySawcutt · 23/04/2019 12:23

But it can't be Ted pulling all the strings - it all started in S1 with Ted directing Steve to go after Tony King and his unit which included Dot Cottan and Nigel Morton.

Now as it turned out, Tony wasn't really bent (apart from having an affair with Jackie Laverty) and only went off the rails due to her hit & run and her involvement with money laundering for the OGC.

If Ted was H' then he would have known all along that Dot Cottan was 'the Caddy' and he wouldn't have wanted Arnott and Fleming poking about in their unit at all.

Shakeitoutnow · 23/04/2019 12:25

Oh good theory @TedsFederationRep

CaptainMyCaptain · 23/04/2019 12:28

SinkGirl is right, the bed time story scene (Chicken Licken) was intercut with John bleeding to death.

Question - why did he fire the gun? Was he shooting himself to die more quickly or was it in another direction. I couldn't tell.

NoWordForFluffy · 23/04/2019 12:34

I think it was a death tremor causing him to flex his finger, shooting the gun.

DarlingNikita · 23/04/2019 12:36

when Corbett was on his phone to his wife while she was reading a bedtime story to their children
Yeah, I think he phoned her earlier. The bedtime story was when he was killed.

I thought JC's London and NI accents were atrocious. Surprised Stephen Graham couldn't do better. We didn't hear him do Belfast, did we? I thought we just heard him trying to do Arnott's accent while he told Mrs Ted that's who he was. We only know he did a Belfast accent from what she tells Ted and Sam later.

TedsFederationRep · 23/04/2019 12:36

Thank you, Shakeitoutnow. I have another theory bubbling away in the back of my mind now about the OCG/police/masons thing but I think I need a bigger wall! Confused

veeboo · 23/04/2019 12:54

@DarlingNikita we hear the Belfast accent when he is in the phone to Steve arnott and plays him the recording of him torturing Mrs Hastings.

DarlingNikita · 23/04/2019 12:55

Thanks veeboo. Totally missed that!

Yogurty · 23/04/2019 13:00

Aah, didn’t realise that Fahrenheit actually meant something specific... good job I’m not a firearms officer!

veeboo · 23/04/2019 13:22

@DarlingNikita it's a pretty dodgy accent!

DarlingNikita · 23/04/2019 13:29

Maybe I heard it and mistook it then Grin

SinkGirl · 23/04/2019 13:31

I'm wondering if the original H had a first name or surname that began with H and their replacement or replacements kept the same designation.
I said something similar last week - is it maybe the 8th boss, next one will be I? Something like that. I like your theory too.

If Ted was H' then he would have known all along that Dot Cottan was 'the Caddy' and he wouldn't have wanted Arnott and Fleming poking about in their unit at all.

True, but even when Dot continually fails to figure out who the caddy is, Ted doesn’t hand it to Steve or Kate. And Ted seems to be fairly okay to go along with Dot framing Steve, despite the fact you could drive a tank through the holes in his frame job (as Kate proved).

I don’t think it’s going to be Ted in the end, though.

PutYourShirtOnMartin · 23/04/2019 13:36

I wonder is Mrs Hastings is H....

PutYourShirtOnMartin · 23/04/2019 13:36

SinkGirl · 23/04/2019 13:39

WAIT A GOD DAMN MINUTE, FELLA...

How have I never noticed this before?
More importantly, how have Steve, Kate and Ted not noticed?
Are you telling me they never investigated this list or even looked at it properly?!

There are two connections between the H board and the list! 😳

Line of Duty definately part 3.

SinkGirl · 23/04/2019 13:45
