I don't think Carmichael is necessarily H but I think she could be another cotton because she has been fast tracked through the ranks. She has been put in place to prove Hastings is H - but really he isn't and he is being set up. It would be a good twist if he is deep under cover but I'm not sure.

I don't think he just recognised Lisa he was very familiar with her.

Also, what's with the bit with Kates husband? Why did we need that bit? Jed doesn't usually put stuff like that for filler, so what's the T?

Why did Steve get the wobbles about Sam? I think she's got an agenda but again, why the personal life bit?

Why was Jackie dumped with Corbett?

There was a guard with Banks and Hastings - surely they could interview him?

They could look at Hastings phone records to prove the link between him and Moffat. And the CCTV of the hotel foyer where Moffat handed Hastings the money. If they are so sure Ted has been given dodgy money, why are they relying on the testimony of Moffat and why haven't they investigated his role rather than assuming?

If Ryan joins the Police, he’s going to have to take out Steve, because Steve can connect him to the OCG.

That was one heck of an episode, if Ted is innocent, even if he is vindicated, he’s made some dreadful errors of judgment and is past retirement age, is there any possibility he could return to being the Head of AC-12?

I bet the series ends with the actual H shaking Ryan’s hand as he joins the force.

I guess with Kate's husband and Steves back the writers might be setting things up for those two not be totally on the ball and therefore more likely to let hastings down if he is innocent?

Does Ted know Lise from that house where the sex workers were being held by the OCG? Remember there was a shifty guy walking out the back door who could’ve been Ted?

Maybe he recognised that the strain of being a UCO is so great that it's not surprising that he went rogue. He tried to help him and get him to turn himself I didn't he? And warned him - too late - that his cover had been blown.

God I'm so confused. But I absolutely believe Ted is not H and is being set up. I have a feeling he didn't tell the chap in prison about Clayton being a cop, he looked shocked when they told him he was dead.

The letter H isn’t going to have anything to do with the name of the top (wo)man - why would you give yourself a code name that could help identify you?

There’s no point in throwing a new person in at episode 5 and saying that’s H, it would be totally underwhelming. So that leaves us with characters that have been in it for a while: Gill, Sam, Kate’s husband and the AC12 trio.

Ryan will join the police under false ID. Although he is known to officers who have investigated and worked on the estate. In a previous season, an officer visited him at home and gave him his contact details.

I thought he was shocked because he thought telling the OCG would send Corbett back into the arms of the police, but instead it got him killed.

And there was a fair bit more to the NI link than the recap. I think they'll expand on what they'd discovered / were talking about.

Someone wanting to get to the truth wouldn't say they were going to prove Hastings is H.

Ted doesn't know Lisa, they hadn't met before - she didn't know whether to believe he was H. She knew who he was because their contact had photos of the AC-12 team.

Mother of God! Thank goodness it's a double episode next week cos I'm not sure how they'd wrap this up in an hour.

I'm so confused! 😮 I'm here hoping for someone bright to explain things to me. The dates of the interviews don't seem to tie up... before they interviewed Lisa they mentioned interview date as being ? April 2019 and they questioned her about various shootings during April. Then before they interviewed Ted they seemed to mention date as being ? March 2019. Or maybe I misheard? Unless they are implying that interview was a flashback and we are now meant to realise that Ted has been locked up for weeks while his loyal team have continued to try to clear his name?

Anna Maxwell-Martin was bloody brilliant. I hated Carmichael immediately!

They were interviewing her about 2 incidents in February 2019 - the original heist, and the drugs heist and one in March (eastfeild depot/Hargreaves death)

Interesting tidbit. Kate's middle name is allegedly "Helen".

I think it's all a double bluff with Kate, Steve and Hastings all working together to try to draw H out. Otherwise it's too out of character and sloppy to be real.

*OK I am now believing Ted is innocent and am rummaging around under the stairs to find a spray can to declare it on a motorway bridge near me.

I think he was pretending to be H.....do the OCG even know who H is as they've been communicating via the laptop.
I don't understand why they've dumped Jackie Laverty at the same time (was it a bogof body bag offer??)
