zenasfuck · 24/04/2019 23:10

Is it just me or did they never explain why holly was missing and how nick knew ?

Totally rubbish ending

BentBaastard · 24/04/2019 23:14

I think Jess had lost the baby.

MissLadyM · 24/04/2019 23:20

Utter shite

Honeyroar · 24/04/2019 23:28

What happened with her son and his shop lifting story?

And what happened to Sean? I missed those story lines wrapping up.

It was ok. I quite enjoyed it, although frustrating at times.

Tefiti2 · 24/04/2019 23:31

Jess definitely didn’t look pregnant in the parting shot, either. So many loose ends, argh!!!

BentBaastard · 25/04/2019 03:24

Sean got 10-12 years for drug possession.

redzebra10 · 25/04/2019 06:05

it was ok, they could of done the whole story in 4 episodes though.

legolimb · 25/04/2019 10:47

hmmm... it was a bit of a let-down.

Did Jess lose the baby?

How did Dylan's body get moved?

Why was Nick involved?

How come Sam's dad (the councillor) look so shifty? I thought he must have been guilty of some or all of the misdoings..

ginmcginface · 25/04/2019 11:10

God, I just watched the last 2 episodes on catch up. I'm with you all - I couldn't get into it, I didn't like any of the characters, I thought of David Brent every time I saw the SIO and have no idea about the loose ends. Hence, coming on here!

dottypotter · 25/04/2019 12:43

They might have explained how Holly got where she was and what Nick had to do with it. As usual it was a long drawn out load of crap could have been done in half the time.

FashionFoodLaughs · 25/04/2019 15:17

An absolutely dreadful watch! So many unanswered questions and unlikeable characters. I see there is talk of a series 2, clearly the commissioners don’t pay any attention to social media, I haven’t seen any posts with a positive reaction.

HollowTalk · 25/04/2019 17:53

It was the girl's boyfriend who moved the body - that's why he went to prison.

What I couldn't understand was this: there was CCTV footage of the pregnant girl buying two tickets to Manchester. It turns out she was going to run away with her boyfriend from school. So why didn't they get on the train?

And then she was in a cellar - why was that? She was with the boyfriend when he killed her brother, so why wasn't he the one in the cellar?!

None of it made sense.

And why didn't Lisa just say to the cops that she knew where they could find that guy? She knew he was wanted by Manchester Police. What advantage was there in her roaming around his building, given she was suspended and he was really dangerous? When she saw his car there she could have reported him. And when he saw her down the alley he really wouldn't have let her go.

Honeyroar · 25/04/2019 20:21

Hollowtalk I think they didn't get on the train because her brother tried to stop her and the fight/death happened.

Hollowtalk

Do you mean Holly's boyfriend Sam? He didn't just move the body, he killed Dylan. Didn't he?
Who did move the body though?
And why was Uncle Ryan going down for a long time? Was he involved in the drug smuggling too?
An utter pile of shite but I'm still frustrated that loose ends weren't tied up.

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/04/2019 13:28

Just watching now. Havnt read any replies so don’t ruin it for me

But seriously she’s a policewoman but didn’t turn phone on silent when taking pics of suspect /drugs and he heard it bleep

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/04/2019 14:12

What a crap ending

So SAM killed Dylan by accident

Who moved Dylan’s body

Yes Jess didn’t look preg :(

So Sean was doing drugs with Ryan?

Inkanta · 26/04/2019 17:53

I must have missed the explanation why Holly was locked in that room for so long and looked in pretty bad physical shape when found.

Inkanta · 26/04/2019 17:55

...and how did Nick know where she was locked up??

User300200 · 26/04/2019 17:57

I found the ending rather odd with many questions to answer.

Papergirl1968 · 26/04/2019 18:02

It was Nick who hid Holly, wasn't it? When he was in hospital recovering from being beaten up he sang a song which his mum said referred to a favourite location from his childhood - the deserted swimming pool complex or whatever it was - and that's how the police realised where she was.
Why she was hiding, I'm not sure. Perhaps to make it look as if she and Dylan had run off?

Cannyhandleit · 26/04/2019 18:09

Well I thought it made morecambe look quite pleasant (aside from the murder and drugs)!

Inkanta · 26/04/2019 18:13

Ahh thanks Papergirl

CirocSally · 27/04/2019 11:51

That was the biggest pile of shite I've seen in my life and I watch TOWIE for f$#ks sake! As for making a second series??? Are they mad???
Shit script.
Bad acting.
An all round waste of time.

Corneliawildthing · 27/04/2019 16:39

It was all a bit of a letdown in the end. Not a brilliant ending after watching all those weeks. I also found it hard to find any sympathy for the main character. I don't know what it is about Morven Christie but I've found all the characters she plays very unlikeable.

AtSea1979 · 27/04/2019 16:47

I can’t beleive I watched all that. Total crap. The woman grieving for her dead son didn’t seem beleivble. Lisa wasn’t likeable from the start as you’d just say I know the bloke involved and hand the case to someone else. No idea why Holly was hiding or when Nick turned up and hid her.
