Last thread was full.

I thought I was done hearing Tyler’s mums grating voice on my tv but she’s just popped up on a Lidl ad!

It was mentioned that Lily and Max were at the Kids' Club. Presumably with Sarah's baby, though he would be a bit young!

CrapTVAddict · 28/05/2019 11:36

It's almost as if Jack P Shepherd who plays David Platt knows the script is shit and his facial expressions says it all
When Gail fires the arrow into Lorraine his face was like yes how unbelievably shit is this but I ll go with it Grin
I think the best part of Corrie is with him and Gail

Redglitter · 28/05/2019 11:38

Sarah mentioned Harry being at the Kids Club several times.

Redglitter · 28/05/2019 11:41

Gail was facing in totally the opposite direction when she accidentally fired the arrow which hit LK

It was ridiculous. She had to turn right round when LK appeared. So the arrow went flying not only in the opposite direction but into a building. That was some shot!

When Steve ran the lad over the other day, you could clearly see the actor (or stunt double probably) take a big leap from the pavement in front of the car for the stunt. I was really unimpressed that they couldn't even film something that basic and make it look believable.

Waiting for the villain reveal this week and switching off if it's someone ridiculous or boring. Just watching it for the sake of it now. It'll free me up time to watch the classics

Honeyroar · 28/05/2019 20:55

Just caught up. That horse that was supposed to be an old nag was a lovely horse, worth much more than a £1k racehorse. You'd think they'd really have put something scruffy as a swop. Even that trailer would be worth a few hundred, so they're getting a cracking deal!

Plus the campsite is near where I live (again! The one Gemma and Ches went too was nearby too). All I really noticed was that and the horse, the rest was pants. That holiday park has a huge reservoir behind it, perhaps they can chuck Gary in it? They must like filming there, Luke was killed down the road by Phelan too!

CrapTVAddict · 28/05/2019 21:08

Where is the campsite? It's not dovestones is it?

Honeyroar · 28/05/2019 21:47

Yes Dovestones, but they didn't show much of the reservoir or views. I think that Ches and Gemma were at Moorlands caravan park in Denshaw.

DaveCoachesgavemetheclap · 28/05/2019 21:58

The loan sharks looks like a crap Dave Walliams lookalike and I can't take him seriously.

Clawdy · 28/05/2019 22:56

The scene with the bloodied face of Gary was horrible in a stupid way, really bad for a family soap. I know it was shown after nine, but it's pretty poor stuff.

Cozzo · 28/05/2019 23:12

Would bet at least some of the writers do read Mumsnet. There was a v mumsnetty expression in one of Friday/Monday’s episodes written by Ian Kershaw.

Is there only me that likes Natalie and her Nottingham twang mangling the script?

Speaking of accents, Leanne doing that Scouse/Yorkshire hybrid to coax out the loan shark was pretty dire.

Thesearmsofmine · 29/05/2019 00:00

They must read, heard the are you on glue phrase!

Housewife2010 · 29/05/2019 08:00

I'm fed up with the miserable storylines for Gary. I'm not a Gary fan but his life is relentless misery. Surely being murdered by Rick would be a relief for him? It looks like Rick's henchwoman will rescue him though. She looked very uncomfortable with Rick's behaviour last night.

Jenfur · 29/05/2019 09:22

I enjoyed David's remorse over spending Audrey's money and having to come clean. I also liked that Gail called the police on Natalie since everyone else in Corrieland seems to act as though the police are the enemy and should never be informed of a crime. Confused how Natalie text them that it was over before the police were at the barbers?

I'm looking forward to the downfall of Nick the blue eyed boy as I can't stand him. Unfortunately I expect we'll see a lot of sad faces from him and Gail defending him and blaming David. Am I right that Nick threatened to reveal that Kylie killed Callum if David told Audrey about the money? Or was there another reason David spent the money?

thenightsky · 29/05/2019 09:58

Yes... how many times has Gary been thwacked over the head now? Surely he's used up his nine lives or whatever by now. Last night I was thinking 'oh FFS, just kill him'.

Clawdy · 29/05/2019 10:05

Did Nick threaten David with that revelation? For some reason I thought Sarah killed Callum.

Clawdy · 29/05/2019 10:06

Just checked, it was Kylie!

ILoveMaxiBondi · 29/05/2019 10:46

David’s remorse seemed to appear very suddenly when he needed to save his skin with Shona. Prior to this he was very happy using his granny’s money to fund his little barber shop which included hiring the woman who helped steal the money.

This horse story line is annoying me more than it should! Who pays over £1k cash and has an animal delivered to them? You wouldn't have a dog delivered.

Hope we see the back of Nick, I've never liked him or his attitude of being better than everyone just because he has money. Hope he gets sent to prison.

thenightsky · 29/05/2019 16:03

The horse storyline is just an irritant.

ajandjjmum · 29/05/2019 16:20

You know that the horse is going to get into the conservatory and demolish the dessert, before the dinner party happens. Too obvious!

Walney · 29/05/2019 16:29

Surely it can't be legal to keep a horse in a small garden, plus it being terrible for the animals welfare just being tied up.

Housewife2010 · 29/05/2019 17:54

A horse needs an acre of land. It's a very silly storyline that seems to have been pushed in suddenly to act as comic relief (along with Lorraine Kelly) during the Platt exposition/ Carla mental health and Gary constant battering storylines in their daily 9 pm week spot.

ILoveMaxiBondi · 29/05/2019 21:18

I’m not happy about this horse storyline. We’ve terrible problems here in parts of Ireland of horses being kept in woeful conditions. I know there have been cases in England/wales too. It feels very irresponsible for Corrie to (try and) make comedy out of the shitty parts of the horse trade market.
