Last thread was full.

I thought I was done hearing Tyler’s mums grating voice on my tv but she’s just popped up on a Lidl ad!

No surprise that Gail is pleading the boys’ case. Hmm how pathetic is she? If those were my sons I would call the police myself and then wash my hands of them.

The Gary storyline is getting more sadistic by the day. Why did Gary ring Sarah first rather than the police? Soon Gail will be just be a huge hairball on legs!

woodhill · 29/05/2019 21:39

Gail's awful haircut

Itstheprinciple · 29/05/2019 21:40

I did think Sally was hilarious tonight!

Jenfur · 29/05/2019 21:51

The loan shark was pretty stupid leaving the phone that close but Gary phoning Sarah was just ridiculous. Do we think Sharon phoned the police or Sarah got his voicemail / magically guessed?

Also was Gary's "one more thing..." confessing to Rana's death?

Gail's reaction to protect her sons was as expected. Nick seemed to think they can all just forget it ever happened. Think he also said David made him buy the barbers so I guess I'm wrong about him blackmailing David.

Gail's hair is eating her alive

ILoveMaxiBondi · 29/05/2019 21:53

Why did Gary ring Sarah first rather than the police?

That’s what I said too! Why wouldn’t you ring the police??

Worried about the horse's welfare too. God knows what poison stuff its eating in that garden. Sad

DaveCoachesgavemetheclap · 29/05/2019 22:00

Loved Sally's comments about a deep shag Grin

Frillyfarmer · 29/05/2019 22:02

The storylines have gone completely batshit. The "old nag" has been cast all wrong - anyone who has been near a horse knows that grey colouring suggests it is a young horse. Keeping it in the garden is just about on par for the absolute shit writing of late.

I couldn't care one bit for Carla/peter - anyone else? I actually don't care about that storyline.

Nick needs drowning, he's just awful.

Clawdy · 29/05/2019 22:33

Did Gary somehow put the phone back on the desk? He could have left it next to him , and told the loan shark as soon as he returned that he'd rung, and the police were on their way. Instead he risked the guy killing him before they arrived.

thenightsky · 29/05/2019 22:39

Yes... definitely a young horse... anyone can see that.

keepondreaming · 29/05/2019 23:12

Heracles is Sammy, a five year old rescued from a slaughter house!
Read all about him here: www.dailypost.co.uk/whats-on/whats-on-news/horse-saved-portugese-slaughterhouse-who-16342561.amp
Don't think there are any spoilers in there.

ellenanora5 · 30/05/2019 11:33

Christ it's a load of rubbish isn't it, the only thing keeping me watching is Sally and Tim, they are the best in it.

I knew Gail would ask Audrey to forgive Nick and David, they robbed their Granny and she thinks she should let them away with it, she does have a small point about her forgiving Lewis though.

I know I said it before but I couldn't care less about Carla, that would be one storyline I wouldn't mind if they just dropped it and pretended it never happened.

Are we going to find out who tampered with the roof this week.

DaveCoachesgavemetheclap · 30/05/2019 13:19

Yes, we are going to find out. Knowing Corrie, it will be a passing ne'er-do-well who we've never heard of.

MonkeyToesOfDoom · 30/05/2019 14:45

The roof tamperer will be....
Dun dun dunnnn....

That wee spectacled lad that Roy's been chatting too. He did it as a way to get back at Roy who he feels abandoned him as a kid. He saw Roy being a father to Carla so used his knowledge of Elf and Safety to damage the roof, ruin Carla's life, send her round the twist and punish Roy..

Y'all heard it here first..
And if that is the real story line.. Corrie won't be watched in this house by me again.

Clawdy · 30/05/2019 16:51

Didn't Gary tell Sarah on the phone that there was one more thing he had to tell her? Or was that a red herring?

DaveCoachesgavemetheclap · 30/05/2019 16:57

Yes he did, Clawdy.
I was hoping the loan shark's side kick would go psycho, club the loan shark and Gary over the head, wrap them up like a sausgae roll in that plastic sheet, then sod off never to be seen again.

yearinyearout · 30/05/2019 17:03

Corrie is really getting on my wick now. I've watched it for so long but all the silliness in it is really grating on me, first Mary with all her histrionics...Dev with all his OTT acting and Sally is getting worse by the day. I keep watching hoping they will get a new writer!

Clawdy · 30/05/2019 17:21

I like Sally, but they give her some ridiculous lines " Metcalfe residence...." when she answered the phone!

redzebra10 · 30/05/2019 17:25

i thought nick strangling david look very real abit too real and why doesn't bethany call audrey gran or nan. calling her by her name seems rude

00Sassy · 30/05/2019 17:26

Can someone please tell me what that meal was that Sally served?! I’ve rewound and played back a few times and can’t figure out what they’re calling it Blush

Greenteandchives · 30/05/2019 17:33

00Sassy it was Jugged Hare.
Not really v likely it would be served in the Bistro in Wetherfield. It’s a bit complicated.

Optimist1 · 30/05/2019 17:56

The meal at Sally's house was like a very feeble farce! A professional woman wanting to entertain and impress a senior colleague would agree to a meal at her girlfriend's mother's house (or if you prefer, at her old schoolfriend's house)? And leave all the catering to her? Throw in all the innuendo, neighbours storming in to complain and the horse-in-the-garden scenario and I have to conclude the scriptwriters have reached a new low.

00Sassy · 30/05/2019 18:25

@Greenteandchives
Thank you, I will need to google what that is, I’ve never heard of it!

redzebra10 · 30/05/2019 18:27

i laughed when the neighbours stormed in and complained about the old nag and tim said careful she's standing next to you (or words to that effect)
proper belly laughed at that
