The thread is full.

The virus is spreading will Holby be ok?!

I couldn't understand her either, but I think she was supposed have had an injury to her throat, so maybe it was intentional?

Has Ethan gone, then?

QueenofmyPrinces · 13/01/2020 21:26

I had no recall of the eye surgeon either and I’ve been watching Casualty and Holby for decades Grin

I couldn’t tell if she was being flirty with Archie? There just seemed something a bit strange about how they interacted with each other.

bakedbeanzontoast · 13/01/2020 22:11

Oh no, I think Vee is Base: the second coming 😤🤯

Pleased to see Connie back. Gang story was boring. Overall it's a bit crap at the moment.

Equanimitas · 13/01/2020 23:52

I can't join in the welcome for Connie. She's always been an incredibly tedious and unlikely character, the programme was much better without her.

EoinMcLovesCakeJumper · 14/01/2020 08:47

I liked the theory of Connie - a capable woman who feels no need to be "nice". I suppose the logical conclusion of that was that she would screw over her colleagues to cover up her mistakes, but I felt like it was so far removed from the medical ethics that someone in her position would have, that it essentially ruined her character. And although I don't particularly like it when they involve the kids of staff members, why does she never mention Grace?

purpleme12 · 15/01/2020 21:30

I didn't get the impression we were supposed to know about the eye doctor just that Archie knew her

purpleme12 · 15/01/2020 22:46

Was funny seeing Connie getting jealous though
She really wants Archie to like her again

Grace was written out, as having gone to live with her father in New York. The actress that originally played her (Emily Carey) is now working in Hollywood. Amanda Mealing was quoted in an article sometime last year as saying that she believed that they would struggle to get her back now (certainly for more than a short period) so they would probably have to recast the role if Grace returned..

EoinMcLovesCakeJumper · 18/01/2020 08:47

I realise she was written out, and I have no wish whatsoever to see her return, but Connie never even mentions her in passing. It's just a bit bizarre that when she was going through all that stuff with PTSD and painkiller addiction that the idea never came up of going to see her daughter while she was away on extended leave. Anyway - I hope we don't have to devote too much time to her "return from purdah" storyline, I can't really be bothered to spend weeks and weeks watching her and Archie sniping at each other.

SouthernFreeez · 18/01/2020 21:41

The lady who plays Faith is lovely looking

purpleme12 · 18/01/2020 22:55

Did anyone think something was a bit 'off' about Faith and Lev or is it just me

Squigean · 19/01/2020 09:07

No, I thought that too. She seemed scared too make decisions without him and he blaming her.

Couldn't figure out if this was supposed to be because she was guilty about working or due to their relationship.

EoinMcLovesCakeJumper · 19/01/2020 09:23

I'm not sure if they were trying to hint at a control thing in their relationship or if it was just the stress of the situation. Lev hasn't really been developed in the way most new characters are, but I hope they didn't throw in the reference to his far-right past as a way of lazily signalling that there's something up.

The other week, Lev was very keen to offer help to Ruby with the baby. I think he said something about how they already have lots of kids to look after, so they could easily fit in another one. But Faith seemed to be struggling to manage them all in last night's episode.

purpleme12 · 19/01/2020 09:46

Mmm interesting.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 19/01/2020 09:50

I definitely see something developing between Faith and Dylan. No overt signals of attraction yet but we are definitely being led to see a bond developing between the two.

Squigean · 19/01/2020 09:53

Yes and her cheerily pleading with him to get home by 8. She made breakfast for him to the extent it was in a bowl on the table for him. All little things adding up.

Be a shame, I quite like the Lev character we have now.

purpleme12 · 19/01/2020 09:57

Yes I agree I like Lev and I quite liked the idea of him and Faith together. I hope it doesn't turn out like that anyway

CaptainHammer · 19/01/2020 16:18

I’m just catching up, I skipped though the gang one. Just got to the part where Bill says the photo was taken in Southend. There is no way that was Southend, it actually looked nice for a start 😂

I felt sorry for Faith when she was trying to get assurance from Lev that he'd be back in time for her to get to work. My dm was a nurse and I remember her having those conversations with my df. She only missed one shift IIRC but I could feel her tension.
Something does feel off with Faith and Lev and I wonder if she will be 'driven' into Dylan's arms.

EoinMcLovesCakeJumper · 20/01/2020 09:40

It would be nice if Dylan could just have an uncomplicated relationship with a woman who isn't already attached! Poor Dylan...

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 20/01/2020 17:02

Maybe Lev is the type of guy who always minimises problems and expects everything to be perfect?

QueenofmyPrinces · 24/01/2020 22:51

Just caught up with last Saturday’s episode.

Is anyone else feeling sorry for Charlie? Sad

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 25/01/2020 15:09

I agree with whoever said Charlie looked really old in last week's episode. And yes having Bill constantly rammed down his throat by Duffy is getting beyond trying.
