If it was the old man in house then when asked about him think Ethan said he didn’t make it

purpleme12 · 06/10/2019 14:29

I think she was referring to the man who had the wife who had had a stroke. I wouldn't say he was old

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/10/2019 14:21

Oh. I thought you meant the dog owner

I assumed the red leg man was ok. His wife knew about his gf and they would have their baby and all be fine - apart from wife who had a stroke

purpleme12 · 07/10/2019 16:00

Yes that's how it ended with him

AnOojamaflip · 09/10/2019 04:53

It's always weird when they do that several days thing in a storyline isn't it. Casualty is supposed to be one day!!! I will get the placards out and protest!!! Will add #onedayandonlyoneday to #bringbackthechainsaw.

I was hoping the new doctor story would end soon. There finally seems to be a few getting suspicious of him. Looks like he'll turn on jade now. But after the bit were he returned to the house and party I've a horrible feeling we are going to be suspected to a storyline were we are supposed to feel sorry for him.

I was hoping drunk pregnant x-raying young woman might have seen through him and written that he deliberately was caring to prevent the complaint.

I work with someone like him. Full of himself, thinks he knows it all, devious and sly, manipulative and re-writes everything so he's right. It never fails to amaze me how management do see it. It was as weird coincidence that I return after a 12 hour shift with him today, made my mind up I'm leaving the job (because of him) and then i watched Casualty and I realised it's the sane characteristics.

(The you didn't learn anything because of your massive ego line made me laugh.)

spoiler alert

Duffy is leaving in the new year

I'm terribly terribly overjoyed sad that she's leaving....

bakedbeanzontoast · 10/10/2019 08:38

@helloisitmeyourelookingfor oh I know I can't wait for her to leave lol

Gretais · 12/10/2019 22:04

Is the lady faking her injury Michelle Collins?

Violetroselily · 12/10/2019 22:07

This is poor casting. He was the same age as Michelle Collins' daughter? He looks closer in age to her

QueenofmyPrinces · 12/10/2019 22:21

The Ethan and Effie thing is cringe central.

QueenofmyPrinces · 13/10/2019 08:46

It’s such rubbish too!!

As if Ethan, who I think is a Consultant (?) would try and pull a sickie in that matter so he could go on a boat?

It’s so ridiculously out of character that it just completely discredits the whole storyline which is pretty dire and unlikely anyway.

I wonder where it is heading.....

helloisitmeyourelookingfor · 13/10/2019 11:30

This Ethan story is absolutely ridiculous -although the dad's reaction is spot on

QueenofmyPrinces · 13/10/2019 12:03

I think the dad is being a bit OTT to be honest. His daughter is a grown up, so what does it matter if she wants to date Ethan?

It reminded me of an over protective dad chasing boys away from his 13 year old daughter. Very strange.

jmh740 · 13/10/2019 12:31

I think the issue I's Dad and Ethan were friends at university, id feel a bit off if one if my uni friends wanted to date one of my children.

Optimist1 · 13/10/2019 13:49

Before he abandoned his glasses, Ethan was a stickler for the rules - risk-averse and serious. A few months down the line and he's giving less than 100% at work and seems to have lost his moral compass in his personal life. Bring back the glasses!

bakedbeanzontoast · 13/10/2019 14:39

Is it just be who Effies mannerisms/facial expressions etc etc hugely irritating? She is more unbearable than Base was and Duffy is!!

Frith2013 · 13/10/2019 17:26

I wonder if this will be the start of Ethan’s Huntington’s Disease manifesting? (That no one ever mentions).

It can start with changes in behaviour and risk taking.

QueenofmyPrinces · 13/10/2019 17:49

Is it just be who Effies mannerisms/facial expressions etc etc hugely irritating? She is more unbearable than Base was and Duffy is!!

She comes across as a petulant teenager in everything she says and does.

I stand by my assumption that she’s only about 20 and that Ethan is just being spectacularly grim!

Butterfly005 · 13/10/2019 23:21

Not sure Ethan can get all the blame - to be fair it is Effie that is coming on to him and inviting him places and asking him to break rules. I think Ethan just finds it hard to say no cos he's too nice! At the same time, I'm not sure this relationship is doing either of them any good.

doublebarrellednurse · 14/10/2019 21:12

Remember Ethan had a near death experience and lost a young patient recently... I've been waiting for PTSD and burn out to present for him....

AnOojamaflip · 14/10/2019 21:48

Erm what am I forgetting about Alfie and a car?

Also why is Dylan got it in for Ethan?

I feel like I've missed episodes rather than just watch this weeks late!!

purpleme12 · 14/10/2019 22:01

I'm not sure that he got it in for Ethan but he's realised what Ethan's up to I think, that he's acting not like himself and that something was going on with Effie
