The thread is full.

The virus is spreading will Holby be ok?!

OP posts:
spiderlight · 28/07/2019 15:02

She had the same name as his ex (Rosa) but I they're not the same person.

jackernanna · 29/07/2019 10:45

Thanks @spiderlight. That seems much more likely, although Casualty is becoming more and more preposterous by the week.

PaddingtonBearHardStare · 29/07/2019 11:45

I spent most of the episode telling DH that Rosa was not Patricia from Holby!!! Hmm

JessMariano · 29/07/2019 15:02

I dip in and out of Casualty. Is it Connie or the actress who has the bad back? If it’s the actress you think they’d stop making her wear 4 inch heels all the time - it can’t be helping?

Originally I thought the new short guy was Connie’s love interest but after the last episode I’m not so sure.

Isatis · 29/07/2019 15:41

Is Rosa actress the person who played the nanny in Cold Feet?

helloisitmeyourelookingfor · 29/07/2019 16:04

Yes she is -I spent the entire episode trying to place her Grin

PaddingtonBearHardStare · 29/07/2019 16:05

@Isatis yes, she played Ramona in Cold Feet

spiderlight · 29/07/2019 21:03

@PaddingtonBearHardStare I had to keep telling myself that. They do look very similar.

Doubleraspberry · 01/08/2019 08:03

I just shouted ‘Ramona’ at the TV. So excited to see her.

zizza · 01/08/2019 10:47

Isn't she (Rosa) the love interest for Sasha ( surgeon) in Holby ? Was a housekeeper I think

Doubleraspberry · 01/08/2019 12:43

Nope. That’s Patricia, who isn’t Rosa.

QueenofmyPrinces · 01/08/2019 14:11

The whole syringe thing is rubbish...

Connie is lying and saying they were labelled, but if they were then why would Duffy even needed to ask which one was the saline in the first place?

And if Connie wants us to believe they were labelled then that implies one of them said Lidocaine and the other said Saline.... if Duffy used the Lidocaine one then it means Archie would have seen the label “saline” on her syringe, are we really supposed to think a Registrar wouldn’t notice that?

It’s all just a bit messy and lazy writing I think.

And as a previous poster said above, I doubt anyone would administer an IV drug they hadn’t drawn up themselves anyway.

I feel a bit sorry for Connie to be honest, she was such a brilliant surgeon and clinical lead etc and it’s pretty sad how her character has changed so much on the back of her attack.

I also found the Rosa/Patricia similarities very amusing Grin

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/08/2019 08:22

Connie is a calm cucumber surely she won’t let Duffy take the blame and yes if they were labelled she wouldn’t have asked whicbbwas which

And I thought duffy officially left the week before and she said in the room I shouldn’t do this but she still did

I assume small bearded bloke will want to find the syringes even tho Connie took them

And he will empty the other box and find no labelled syringes in there or empty ones with the drug

Do they not have cameras in that room /door so will see her carrying the yellow box

Ans yes lovely to see the nanny from cold feet. Was watching it and knew I knew her so had to google her name and of course

QueenofmyPrinces · 02/08/2019 08:55

*I assume small bearded bloke ....”

Grin Grin

contrary13 · 02/08/2019 11:05

"small, bearded bloke" is absolutely nothing like the character in real life - so it's testimony to his acting skills that he can convey this... cold, horrible, jobsworth so effectively! Coulson makes my skin crawl.

I also thought that Duffy had left the previous week. Her being so active in the treatment of patients thoroughly confused me, to the point where I did start to wonder if I'd dreamt her "I'm leaving" episode the week before. She might be the one to take the blame for Connie's mistake, because of her dementia. If that happens? I might just have to stop watching it altogether.

And yes, to Rosa looking like Patricia from Holby's twin! Might we see Sacha wandering the ED like a lovesick puppy soon... Grin

QueenofmyPrinces · 03/08/2019 23:20

I really enjoyed tonight’s episode - I normally can’t stand Jade but she was great tonight!

However, I got the shock of my life when I saw in the credits who it was that played Marty and realised he was the really talented singer who appeared on Britain’s Got Talent when he was 12 years old and did a fantastic version of MJ’s “Who’s loving you.”

I remember watching that episode and then watching the audition over and over again on YouTube Grin

I can’t believe he’s ended up in Casualty!!

Anyhow - back to talking about the show...

Optimist1 · 04/08/2019 06:31

WRT the trans issue - why did they have to present it and resolve it oh so neatly within an hour? It would have been much more effective for it to be presented and left unresolved. (On a side note, how did Jules enter the hospital with straggly hair and no make up but by the time they were leaving had a full face of make up and artful curls?)

DobbyTheHouseElk · 04/08/2019 08:21

The trans story really annoyed me. I too noticed the lipstick and then eye makeup and curls each time we saw him, more had appeared. Such a weird story, the BBC trying to be right on again. Clumsy writing again.

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/08/2019 22:34

Getting closer to Connie. Small bearded bloke 😉 should have asked to see inside her bag

Ifprescription was written up wrong then surely be a spare packet about - she asked ginger nurse (sorry crap with names) to get two for me ....

Chemist obv gave 2. Patient got one. Obv Connie got one. But surely they would query the second if gone missing

Trans story. Shame done so quickly

Yes Marty was on a talent show. Then on ee

bizzey · 10/08/2019 20:36

Just logging in for the big one tonight.
I keep loosing this thread if i dont post !

Spidey66 · 10/08/2019 22:08

Marty was Shakil in EE.

Spidey66 · 10/08/2019 22:12

Connie is looking so thin these days.

purpleme12 · 10/08/2019 22:54

Yes so thin.

So dramatic and powerful when Archie said I just don't trust you Connie

Tonnerre · 10/08/2019 23:58

I wonder if beardy bloke is going to reappear now he's been vindicated? I hope not, really, I find him pretty boring.

I find myself obsessing about Connie's heels. I heard someone on the radio once saying toucan't wear high heels for more than an hour or so without it becoming painful, so why on earth would someone in charge of a busy A&E wear them all day? And, from a RL point of view, why is someone with known back problems made to wear them?

purpleme12 · 11/08/2019 00:17

I don't mind beardy bloke too much
