I agree about the chemistry. I find Patrice a bit dull to be honest, I think Florence will get bored of him if she's not dead and he doesn't end up in the jail.
I liked the fella off of the BT adverts the best but I didn't like his exit storyline because there was something I didn't like about the woman he went off with.

It would seem I'm quite heavily invested in this gritty documentary 😏

Blondeshavemorefun · 11/02/2019 13:33

As said before. I love it

Easy watching and nice scenery. Tho always windy and not sunny

SmellsLikeAdultSpirit · 11/02/2019 16:46

They never lock up the station

Petalflowers · 11/02/2019 17:45

For those who live this, then look up Shakespeare and Hathaway.

It’s Death In Paradise in Stratford (upon Avon, not London). The first series is on iplayer, I think, and the second series is out soon.

3out · 11/02/2019 18:08

So true!
Do you know what I miss? Pie in the Sky.

Petalflowers · 11/02/2019 18:25

Love, not live

Floralnomad · 11/02/2019 18:30

I reckon Patrice will be dead and I agree with the poster earlier who said that they are building in chemistry between Florence and the Irishman . It’s definitely gone steadily downhill as a programme but it’s light entertainment and nice scenery for the chilly months .

Blondeshavemorefun · 11/02/2019 19:26

Yah for 2nd series of Hathaway. Love that. Again easy watching :murder

mogtheexcellent · 11/02/2019 19:59

Im going against the grain here but I like Ardal O Hanlan. im warming to the new girl shes not as mad as in the first episode.

I found the Humphrey/Cecile non romance tedious.

I would like to see more of Catherine though - shes ace.

DecumusScotti · 11/02/2019 21:04

I was holding out for Jack/Catherine, but she’s been in it so little I think it’s pretty unlikely. I really hope they don’t set him up with Florence. She’s too young for him.

I agree about Ruby: Now that she seems to have toned it down a bit, she’s growing on me too.

I wonder who they’ll get to replace Ardal when he leaves? Idris Elba’s probably a long shot, right?

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 11/02/2019 21:29

No chance of Idris Elba, he has a very successful career. I think the main actors need to be a bit desperate in order to agree to spend such a long time away from their families (I assume) filming in Guadaloupe.

mogtheexcellent · 11/02/2019 21:34

actually theres a chance the next series might not happen due to Brexit... seriously I read an interview with the producers and it was mentioned. Its because they film in a French territory and its part French financed.

Eve · 11/02/2019 21:46

Oh I love this.

My sky is getting full between this, Vera , NCis and now endeavour is back on.

I need a new inspector montalbano and i’ll be hsppy!

LoniceraJaponica · 11/02/2019 22:30

I love Montalbano. There is a new series of Shetland coming soon.

DecumusScotti · 11/02/2019 22:35

Grin I did say it was a long shot.

ChoccyJules · 11/02/2019 22:45

Just caught up. I thought Florence was hiding a bump...then she got shot. So maybe she‘s leaving?

2rebecca · 11/02/2019 22:45

Catherine is my favourite character. A sexy independent older woman who manages to run a bar without being given the role of alcoholic broad that scriptwriters usually give to women running bars.
Strange that I find her really sexy where as my husband doesn't fancy her at all and prefers the young but bland Florence. Agree new girl has got better as the series progressed.

Graphista · 11/02/2019 23:18

HildaZelda sorry Danny John jules isn't coming back. I think I'm right he's the last of the original regular cast members to leave? We still have the commissioner (non regular) played by the wonderful don Warrington (who I still remember from rising damp and cats eyes!)

I like ardal o'hanlon but I think he's struggling to find the right tone with this, yes it's a light piece but it needs to be played straight.

"I read that Dwayne was axed because he was too demanding." That would surprise me as everyone else he's worked with adored him.

"Do they ever solve other crimes?" Erm...it's called DEATH in paradise? Not GENERAL CRIME in paradise?

I didn't like how they got rid of Richard - he was FAR too cynical and good a cop to fall for that! He'd have known it wasn't her straight away and been on his guard!

IF there's going to be a romance it will be with Catherine, I think Florence (if she's not dead) is more a surrogate daughter as he misses his own dd who's back in uk.

"actually theres a chance the next series might not happen due to Brexit... seriously I read an interview with the producers and it was mentioned. Its because they film in a French territory and its part French financed." Yea I was thinking that - bloody brexit! 😡

"Catherine is my favourite character. A sexy independent older woman who manages to run a bar without being given the role of alcoholic broad that scriptwriters usually give to women running bars." Totally agree

Scriptwriters? Can u PLEASE write more good parts for women over 30? It's getting really tedious not seeing actresses over 30 being given anything but minor roles and hardly ever seeing POSITIVE parts for over 40 year old actresses at all.

MyOtherProfile · 11/02/2019 23:28

"I read that Dwayne was axed because he was too demanding." That would surprise me as everyone else he's worked with adored him

Except his dance partner and the rest of the cast of SCD!

diddl · 12/02/2019 18:26

"I thought Florence was hiding a bump"

I thought that.

The actress who plays her is in her 30s.

I thought that she was about 20Blush

Helpmedecide123 · 13/02/2019 20:34

I did not know that Eva Green who played Vesper Lynd in the James Bond films is Joséphine Jobert's cousin.

3out · 13/02/2019 21:16

It would be nice if Catherine occasionally commented how her daughter is getting on, I think. I love Catherine’s character too.

CocoLoco87 · 14/02/2019 21:06

Oh balls! Patrice Sad

mogtheexcellent · 14/02/2019 21:18

Poor florence. I did think they were an odd match though

CocoLoco87 · 14/02/2019 21:32

Yes but I definitely didn't see him dying!
