I'm a bit confused by some of the current living arrangements....
Who lives with Eileen?
Is Sean still living with Billy?
Does Claud live with Ken?

I thought Eileen gave it to Gary because it was Phelans but became hers when he died.

That's what I thought.

It was never phelans, he was running it for Jason. I am pretty sure Eileen just put Gary in charge of it, don't think she would just hand over a business like that she is not exactly loaded.

As much as I get so irritated with storylines being forgotten, miracle cures for all illness, complete personality transplants of characters (Gail), arm folding considered as dramatic acting (Michelle) ludicrous business deals etc. I don’t think I could ever stop watching Corrie, it’s like an old friend! Though I’m guessing the story writers rely on mugs like me to do just that, they know they can get away with drivel because of the sentimentality of the viewer.

You would think if someone was waving a shovel in your face like a loon you would react in some way. Dev's son stands there looking like a goldfish.

I think these threads are what keep me watching Corrie. It’s somehow more fun when you know other people think it’s ludicrous too.

It's ridiculous that there has been no back story for any. The only suggestion was when she refused to go with that lad at the party. Very sensible then suddenly pregnant?

I watch it to calculate how many people are currently living at the Platt's. It used to be Eileen's.

I've tried to stop watching Corrie many times Bettyboo, I've turned it off half way through episodes in disgust and said I'd never watch it again, but I always end up watchful it. Partly because of these threads just as sum says.

It's like drinking too much beer... Sure you feel rubbish, confused and groggy after wars and you say you'll never do it again but you always end up doing it to again.

Same here! I'm 51, and have been watching Corrie for as long as I can remember. I can clearly remember when Ken's wife was electrocuted by a hairdryer- and apparently that happened in 1971

If amy is six weeks pregnant that means she conceived about 4 weeks ago. Which was Christmas. Were they in Tenerife at Xmas? Or did they go after?

Also, doesn't Gary ever have contact visits with his son with Izzy? I've forgotten his name. Given their locality and the fact that they get on well you'd think Gary world be having his son at least 2 nights eow and midweek contact every week. He never seems to spend any dedicated time with him.

There was a spoiler as to who the baby's dad is earlier in this thread - hopefully it has been removed now. Rather spoilt it for me (and I'm sure the others that saw it).

Oh yes Id forgotten about that! But also didn’t Amy say she’s didnt know who the father was? That’s what made me wonder about tenereife. It could have been someone she met on holiday and didn’t get to know who he was. Saying that snug teens I know meet someone on holidays and are instantly FB friends, insta followers, snapchat etc

It was just speculation I think. And there is no way Amy doesn't know who the father is, I think she is frightened to reveal it. After Steve's reaction, I'm not surprised!

Yes After watching him swing a shovel at poor Adi you can’t blame her for not giving up his name especially if she is still seeing him!

I thought Gary was living with Izzy at one time; not in a relationship, but so he could help her out with Jake(?).
How many children has he fathered? From the many unexpected pregnancies on the street Dev can't be many selling condoms.

I thought Steve's handling of the whole pregnancy thing was just vile. He couldn't have cared less about Amy's wellbeing, he was just pissed off that somebody had the audacity to have sex with his daughter.

Garry needs to have the snip before he gets anyone else pregnant.
