I'm a bit confused by some of the current living arrangements....
Who lives with Eileen?
Is Sean still living with Billy?
Does Claud live with Ken?

I had forgotten that Phelan did the work, thanks for that. I suppose the insurance wouldn't cover a new roof then, though they could still put a claim in for the other damage.

Feel sorry for Carla. Roy is being really harsh and over the top. After everything Carla has done for him, it's not like Roy to be so unreasonable

Optimist1 · 27/02/2019 16:09

But from Roy's point of view, once Carla discovered what had happened she should have told him. He would undoubtedly have turned himself in to the police and they would have seen a) that it wasn't him who left a lit lamp by the boat and b) that he didn't deliberately overturn the lamp. I'm pretty sure the police would have said there was no case to answer, but Roy being Roy would have accepted whatever punishment was meted out. For Abby to have been a suspect by the police (can't remember whether they arrested her, or just took her in for questioning) and subject of gossip in the Street was a cruel result of Carla's deception. I'm with Roy on this one!

ellenanora5 · 27/02/2019 17:57

Optimist1 me too, I don't feel one bit sorry for Carla, she would have known Roy would be furious at her deception, and she definitely would have let Abby take the blame.

feltcarrot · 27/02/2019 19:43

Oh dear god, the old drink spilt over the computer scene. Didn’t see that coming.

Optimist1 · 27/02/2019 20:21

I feared that Brian was going to pass Cathy a tin of Ambrosia when she said that rice might fix things! Grin

ILoveMaxiBondi · 27/02/2019 21:38

Does Amy know any facial expressions other than that stupid tight lipped smile?? She does it in every bloody scene! It’s grating on me now.

BettyBooJustDoinTheDoo · 27/02/2019 22:33

Amy really can’t act to save her life, she is as wooden as a plank.

BettyBooJustDoinTheDoo · 27/02/2019 22:36

Yes Roy would have been furious but his character would never have been cruel and heartless, yet another personality transplant.

PremierNaps · 27/02/2019 23:35

Roy isn't cruel no but I feel he needed space from Carla after her deception.

Walney · 28/02/2019 07:54

Roy is being very harsh with Carla but he was right to be angry at Carla's behaviour to make someone else look guilty. I never understood why Carla was living at Roys anyway, was she paying board? Surely she can easily afford somewhere to live if she can afford to buy big things like a boat.

thenightsky · 28/02/2019 09:34

Carla must be skint. She's struggling to pay for her (uninsured) roof after all. Yet, she bought a boat not long ago. For a supposedly sharp business woman she's blood crap with money.

ConfCall · 28/02/2019 19:10

Classic Corrie is now on the episode where Alf asks Bet to help him choose an eternity ring for Audrey - the event that was referenced in the fake clairvoyant storyline last year!

MinisterforCheekyFuckery · 01/03/2019 13:07

So after his initial reluctance to accept any help with his essay, Daniel lets Brian write the Conclusion for him, doesn't attempt to tweak it or rewrite it in his own words, in fact he doesn't even bother to read what Brian has written before sending it off...sounds very sensible, i'm sure that's the last we'll be hearing of this Hmm

PrincessScarlett · 01/03/2019 19:41

Why has Shona turned into such a mug when it comes to Clayton? He is treating her like absolute sh*t and she's just taking it. She is meant to be feisty and speaks her mind. Why doesn't she just stand up to him?

thenightsky · 01/03/2019 19:56

Yet another personality transplant?

PrincessScarlett · 01/03/2019 23:29

Oh I did feel sorry for David. He is such a good actor. His face said it all at the end - the fear of losing Shona in the same way he lost Kylie.

ILoveMaxiBondi · 02/03/2019 00:32

Yes you could see it all flooding straight back to him. Poor David.

I do love David. I’ve been watching classic Corrie and I think he’s very like his dad, martin’s character. Very similar mannerisms and the over exaggerated sarcasm. I love it.

Gail is unrecognisable from what she was back then. Really awful what they’ve done to get character.

jcmayj · 02/03/2019 00:44

Can someone give me a back story as to why Clayton killed Kylie? I watch Corrie on and off and I missed it back then!

ILoveMaxiBondi · 02/03/2019 00:51

Him and his mate macca had been torturing Gemma in the kebab shop and they started fighting. Kylie came to help her and Clayton stabbed her.

jcmayj · 02/03/2019 01:31

@ILoveMaxiBondi thank you!!

FedUpOfBrexit · 02/03/2019 04:05

Catching up now, Angryat Ken talking about Amy having a abortion with a look of distaste.
He really is so judgemental
'I never dreamt Amy could do something so extreme' So having a abortion is extreme but Tracey killing people is ok?
'But to go behind your back like that' It's Amy's body and her decision who she tells, plus all the times he has done behind people's backs over the years the most recent keeping secrets from Daniel.

FedUpOfBrexit · 02/03/2019 04:21

Arrrgh I think I have a irrational hate for Ken Barlow, I'm now up to the bit where Ken the snob is looking down on Brian and thinks it's absurd Daniel can 'get some pointers ' from Brian to help him with his essay.
Brian is a teacher why would Ken be looking down on him as Ken was a teacher!

Ken better do nothing else this episode to annoy me!

redzebra10 · 02/03/2019 06:52

who is writing this shit.
criminals around the grave, one shouts now and cuts the cufts of clayton and the police are standing there looking dazed.yep ok
klayton holding shona hostage tells the police he wants a car 10 grand and you all to clear off.
its just like real lifeHmm

ILoveMaxiBondi · 02/03/2019 10:59

Everyone’s reaction to Amy’s termination is ridiculous! Did they really want their 14 year old child/grandchild to go through 9months of pregnancy, childbirth and labour and all the very serious risks associated with it, the restrictions to her normal teenage life that would involve, the bullying and judgement from her peers, and then the pain of having hand that baby over to her parents and watch them raise it? Really? If it was my 14 year old I would be overjoyed that she had made such a grown up and sensible decision. She has reset her life back on track. Look how happy she was to be going back to school? Can’t they see that?
