I remember that episode with him singing the baby group song all wrong. Love cold feet!

'Matthew Matthew, two three four' Grin Grin

I'm just popping in to say Karen and Adam is just wrong, and its been bugging me all day (i know i need a life)..
I so would re. Adam but i'm common as muck, Karens a different league!

TimeIhadaNameChange · 12/02/2019 18:17

I thought yesterday's episode was brilliant. The way Karen and Robin turned up at the airport for David, and then the whole group rallied round him was just lovely. I 'awwwwed' my way all through that bit!

Snugglepiggy · 12/02/2019 19:16

It's a credit to Mike Bullen that the writing this series is so moving and still laugh out loud funny in parts.I absolutely adore Cold Feet. And yes some episodes are stronger, and some weaker but overall it remains one of my favourite TV programmes.
All the cast are great but Fate Ripley is superb.I'm still unsure about Adam and Karen ending up together, but in a way they both loved Rachel and she would have wanted both of them to be happy, and find someone.I do actually know a couple who after years of shared platonic friendship fell in love after both their partners died. The DCs are all happy with it and it 's hard to imagine them with anyone else now.

mooncuplanding · 12/02/2019 19:33

I thought the choir scene was exquisite

It was just everything we all have to process about enjoying the moment and accepting the future. I loved it and thought it on a par with the scene when Rachel was killed

I totally get Adam and Karen. It makes sense to me that at their stage of life the friendship and respect is the overwhelming feeling of attraction

Violetroselily · 12/02/2019 22:05

Shed a tear at choir scene and at David. I lived Robyn and Karen going to collect him from the airport together.

OrangeJuiceandLemon · 12/02/2019 22:11

Yy to Adam at the baby group. Absolutely hilarious where he gets the names wrong then swears Grin

IDoAllMyOwnStunts · 12/02/2019 22:19

Yes Adam had the look of the silver fox about him tonight but his eyebrows are bothering me as they’re very black. I cringed a bit at him and Karen snogging, seemed wrong somehow.

I do love Cold Feet though, it’s like watching old mates.

ConfCall · 12/02/2019 22:42

Robyn was great. I liked her in the last series too, in the episode where David's daughter was considering a termination. I'd like to see more of the character but it wouldn't be easy to write her into scenes, unfortunately. I thought she'd appear in a professional context when it was mentioned that David had recommended her to Nikki - clearly not!

Crying with laughter at that clip!

BrizzleMint · 12/02/2019 23:17

It's great. I'm not so sure about Adam and Karen maybe because he floats my boat

Lovingbenidorm · 12/02/2019 23:47

I reckon Karen needs a bit of Adam in her life

EachandEveryone · 13/02/2019 00:05

I fast forwarded the very end its just not right.

Choccywoccyhooha · 13/02/2019 00:23

I just wish Adam would keep it in his pants for a bit, he would benefit from some time out of a relationship. I'm not convinced Karen would go for him, maybe they'd have a regrettable shag, but not a relationship, he's such a child.

And I've said it before, but I can't stand Adam or James Nesbitt, so why why why do I fancy him? It's so wrong, but I so would. (Maybe Karen feels the same).

mnahmnah · 13/02/2019 07:07

Didn’t James nesbitt cheat on his wife when she was pregnant? I think that may have tainted my view of Adam. But he’s still a creep

QueenOfTheAndals · 13/02/2019 08:01

It wouldn't surprise me, isn't he famous for putting it about?

OrangeJuiceandLemon · 13/02/2019 11:43

I think I have some dim recollection of him being a knob irl. Also promoting hair plugs in a seedy way (if that's possible???)

I might have seen a weird advert where he didn't come across at all well.

Off to google

ChristineBaskets · 13/02/2019 12:27

Yeah there have been articles about JN being a bit generous with his nob on nights out. I'm sure I've read of mumsnetters' personal experience of this on here too. It does rather tarnish how I see his character in dramas now which is a shame.

I'm not sure Karen could put up with him for long realistically, not least because he pronounces her name as car un! That would be a deal breaker for me! Grin

UrsulaPandress · 13/02/2019 12:48

I so do not want Adam and Karen to get together. It would spoil the whole group thing for me. Karen is way too good for him and the vicar would have been a better option. Something a bit different for her.

southeastdweller · 13/02/2019 12:49

Totally agree about the choir scene. Fay Ripley did a super job of bringing out all those emotions her character was feeling.

Karen and Adam still doesn't feel right to me. I keep trying to justify the story by thinking Rachel would want them to be happy but then again it feels a bit desperate of the writer.

Sjofn · 13/02/2019 13:00

Sorry haven't RTFT but finding it all very lacklustre this time -aside from Fay Ripley. Hopefully will ramp up towards the end?

Have always struggled with Adam's supposed Demi-god status. Someone pls explain?

EachandEveryone · 13/02/2019 13:47

I dunno but he’s like the oldest swinger in town In real life. I wonder if the others actually even get on with him. Apparently his trailer is bigger and better than everyone else’s,

mnahmnah · 13/02/2019 13:58
