Surprised there's no thread on this. Did anyone watch it last night or has the series reached its natural end and is no longer attracting viewers?

I remember Violet in The Lakes with John Simm years ago. She was very pretty.

I think that Minty was in Bramwell in the mid 1990s with Jemma Redgrave.

They said 3 more series last night.

There is no way Heidi Thomas will write a script where Dr Smug has misdiagnosed someone so I think Fred is safe.

Fred was in Kavanagh QC he was the Tom the Clerk.

They also had spelled "Schroeder" wrong on the board outside the house, missing the "C"

It might have been a slight 'Anglicised' spelling maybe? DH's family dropped a C from their name after the war.

There was a reference to the ballgowns being a change from the current fashionable shape - something about missing nipped in waists.

Linda Basset was also Queenie in Larkrise to Candleford.

I thought - Aha, he's a glazier - there'll be a broken window before long! How wrong I was! Never considered a mirror ball!

I recognise Violet as the tragic Mum in the TV film of Goodnight Mr Tom.

I did think the lady sitting waiting was very forgiving! I'd have been less happy.

She can simper and shake at the same time. Quite impressive I suppose they are trying to show how relationships were in ye olden days. Or maybe she was just being nice to the Lord Doctor Our Only Saviour. Fifty midwives and one GP is a bit far fetched. Bring us another doctor!

Shake Dinnerladies is my fave sitcom. I could watch it forever
