Both are utterly useless!

I don't see how Camilla's nut milk plan is a goer. So many people are already there, there are half a dozen brands of nut milk in most large supermarkets, and in ranges of drinks too.

It's a crowded market, like Alana's brownies, and she isn't exactly making waves. Her stalls seem deserted whenever I see them, except for people trying to get selfies with teh Alan Sugar cut out.

@thecatsthecats

I never get the set up of a candidate making their way to the final few only for AP to then say he isn't interested in their business plan. Why doesn't he have to pre-approve the plans as viable to begin with when the production team are picking the initial candidates?

He fired the American lady just because he couldn't get behind her business plan. So why in the first place did they waste her time and allow her into the competition then?

Thesnobbymiddleclassone · 06/12/2018 11:27

Last night's episode just made me laugh! The moment they decided on the seduction element you knew it was going downhill!

I loved it when they said they couldn't taste the rum, that's because Sarah-Anne had drank it all and that cartoon character. Just what type of luxury where they thinking of?!

The good thing to come out of this though is that with Sarah-Anne gone we don't have to look at that eyebrow piercing anymore!

Oh, I agree! I was just thinking that that could be the only justification for keeping her after that performance - that she had a business plan worth keeping around.

PrincessScarlett · 06/12/2018 14:04

Lord Sugar knows from the outset who he's going to invest in. And the candidates must know he knows. So it is just a lot of jumping through hoops to stay in the limelight for as long as possible.

And Sarah Anne was dreadful but the branding was atrocious and Camilla should have gone for that. Maybe LS is investing in the but milk after all or maybe it is all set up for next week's interviews so certain business plans can be torn to shreds.

Autumnsunrise · 06/12/2018 14:38

I'm thinking it's going to be Khadija. Cleaning is very lucrative. And eco friendly makes it a winner.

Apprenticepanellady · 06/12/2018 14:42

Just saying. Regular name changer here - I was on the Coop panel last night and we did laugh a lot more than it looked like 😀

Autumnsunrise · 06/12/2018 14:54

Ooooh! Hello panel person. What a cool job.

Thesnobbymiddleclassone · 06/12/2018 15:08

Apprenticepanellady That's amazing!

MarshaBradyo · 06/12/2018 15:10

So Apprenticepanel can you say if they’re real orders?
Possibly not

Apprenticepanellady · 06/12/2018 15:27

Oooh not sure - probably not allowed to say, we did discuss it with the production team though

MarshaBradyo · 06/12/2018 15:36

Fair enough I hope to bump into someone irl who can say Grin

Btw I’m so happy someone said the terrible branding one was sexist

INoahGuy · 06/12/2018 15:54

Sadly, Santa’s Choco Seduction is not a real product you can buy to add a touch of sex to your stocking this year.

According to the Radio Times, although sales to the public are real on The Apprentice, they speculate pitches to brands are not real sales.

LurkYouLongtime · 06/12/2018 16:14

Oh Apprenticepanellady I had written something more rude than 'buttoned up' Blush very glad I changed it. Sorry. I know it's all editing! I would love to do a job like yours. Very jealous.

Apprenticepanellady · 06/12/2018 16:36

Haha totally not offended, was just reading the thread and wanted to say we are all pretty friendly. But.... in 20 years of a retailing career no supplier has ever asked me to dance

Binglebong · 06/12/2018 18:16

I have a theory that the winning team got the massive order because the panel were so disgusted by the losing team's sexism that they were determined they wouldn't win. So it was a sort of sabotage.

Any thoughts coop panel lady? Grin

ScreamingValenta · 06/12/2018 18:23

Does anyone else always feel sad at this stage of The Apprentice because we've had the last proper task?

Apprenticepanellady · 06/12/2018 18:35

No sabotage- you have no idea how the other pitch has gone or what the other business thought

rosamacrose · 06/12/2018 18:42

Interviews next week isn't it?
Always my favourite episode Xmas Grin

Binglebong · 06/12/2018 18:45

I bel8eve you, thousands wouldn't. Grin

it's what I'd do

Baking101 · 06/12/2018 18:57

The interviews are the best. But I wish the older woman was still there to make them cry. She was brilliant.

Autumnsunrise · 06/12/2018 19:36

Interesting theory @Binglebong

It feels like Christmas with the interview episode coming up Grin

Notmorewashing · 06/12/2018 19:42

Sarah Anne should have gone ages ago, she’s done F all!! I would buy the memoir chocolates they sounded nice, kadysha won that for them.

The seduction was embarrasing I really do not like camila.

I would love to have the job of the three co-op power women !!! Was nice seeing an all women panel there.

Loved how disgusted Karen was at the sexist seduction!

neddle · 07/12/2018 11:35

On the basis of this task alone, it shouldn’t have been Sarah Ann. I don’t think it would have made any difference to orders if the chocolates were amazing, the branding was awful.

BoswellandAndAndyForshort · 07/12/2018 14:13

Saw on Twitter Moonpig are marketing Moon-nips (or something like that) which are chocolate nibbles (?). Packaging is almost an exact replica of the Christmas tree one!
