Daniel just looked in shock to me. To find out she had not only put her life at stake, but lied so much must be mind-blowing. At least Billy had the sense to tell him, which is so unusual in soaps!

EachandEveryone · 08/12/2018 10:00

I wonder what will become of her?

kikashi · 08/12/2018 10:23

Yes, I agee, remarkable sense from Billy!

Thesearmsofmine · 08/12/2018 10:37

I loved drunk Liz and Eileen, I always like seeing them together, I think they work well. Even dreadful Sean had a couple of funny lines last night.

The Sinead story is so sad, she wanted to believe so much that the healthy diet and acupuncture could help her protect her baby rather than risk chemo. I was also surprised Billy was sensible enough to tell Daniel! I also thought Daniel looked a bit scary at the end!

I honestly couldn’t care less about the dreadful Hope storyline. It is so unbelievable the way it happened so quickly, I just tuned out.

kikashi · 08/12/2018 10:43

What does Toyah do at the health centre. I thought she applied for a receptionist job and was going to tell them she was a qualified counsellor to try to get some therapy work. Is she now the HC therapist?? How does she know so many therapy people when she lived elsewhere for years (one's with cottages in Lakes to lend out for free, Special Unit connections in Brum etc)?

Also, she had a cheek compaining abour all NIck's misdemeanour's given waht she has got up to the past year. She's so manipuative and really not nice.

eddiemairswife · 08/12/2018 10:44

I'm afraid I can't take to either Daniel or Sinead. He's such a drip, and I'm fed up with her mournful face and big eyes.

Clionba · 08/12/2018 10:50

Toyah seemed to be the Health Centre receptionist, but trying to get a job as a counsellor again. However, she seemed to have university and pupil referral knowledge, enough to advise Fiz and Ty about Hawp. Being with Imran is so implausible, do we think a magical pregnancy will result?

Toyah got a counselling job at the medical centre a few weeks(?) back. Same time Leanne got the job with Imran and werewolf and they moved into the first flat.

I actually don’t mind Toyah, or Leanne and Nick together. I think it would be quite nice if those couples worked out and were just stable and normal.

Won’t happen Wink

Clionba · 08/12/2018 11:11

Tim and Sally were a great couple. Funny, compatible, good storylines, then......

Optimist1 · 08/12/2018 11:51

Yes, Daniel was entitled to be angry and upset with Sinead's deception and entitled to brood about it till she came home, but snot isn't a good look. No matter how upset you are, wiping your nose with a tissue or even your sleeve if you're exceptionally distressed is still do-able.

thenightsky · 08/12/2018 21:46

I want Tim to realise that Sally is the only woman for him and for them both to live happily ever after. I shall stop watching if they destroy Sally and Tim Sad

Boswellox · 09/12/2018 19:27

I think the writers are using Nick as a loose cannon.

I wish the Christmas episode would be about Liz, Eileen and Sean on their beano in the Caribbean as opposed to the likely Sinead and Daniel baby and chemogate miseryfest. Wasn't there a look though between Johnnie and Liz when he overheard and she asked for time off?

SuperSuperSuper · 09/12/2018 20:41

I think that Tim will find out about Gina's machinations on Christmas Day - she'll make an unwelcome drunken pass or something.

I think that wooden Jude will reappear too. Hope I'm wrong.

Maybe something with Johnny, Jenny and Liz? If she doeesnt go on hols.

I think they're leading up to an Amy storyline - an age gap fling with the aforementioned 17yo maybe. Or perhaps a relationship with Adi, despite her protestations.

Would love Sylvia to return. And more Claud and Aud please!

I hope the world's most unlikely GP doesn't get questioned about that drug dealer's demise. That would be boring. Although Michelle will probably be too busy folding her arms and frowning over Robert's plan with Kate to play any part in it.

Walney · 10/12/2018 08:07

I can't express how annoyed I would be if they do an Amy pregnancy storyline. Its just been overdone, its like they can't have a teenage girl who doesn't get pregnant, especially when they have been portraying her as being pretty mature with writing a family contract.

clowdyweewee · 10/12/2018 19:45

The Nativity play story line is bonkers. They'd have been rehearsing it for a few weeks by now

Clawdy · 10/12/2018 20:03

As if Brian would put up with the Head's behaviour. He would go straight to the school's union representative and report him for bullying behaviour.

HettySunshine · 10/12/2018 20:10

He's not even the head, he's the deputy. Brian could speak to the head who presumably employed him.

Why does Carla have all that cash in her safe? Surely she uses internet banking for everything so why so much cash? Also, have we ever seen the safe before, these sudden and screamingly obvious plot devices really irritate me.

woodhill · 10/12/2018 20:20

Yes where is the HT and other staff members- he's a bully

KlutzyDraconequus · 10/12/2018 20:45

Is it me or does Liz's date look even more like a black Phelan than he did before? Is he going to be a baddie?

clowdyweewee · 10/12/2018 21:02

Imran moving in with Toyah/Leanne/Nick/baby whose name I keep forgetting is so believable.

Hmm
SuperSuperSuper · 10/12/2018 21:20

It's so terrible. It's gone badly downhill over the last few years. This Brian nonsense - I've been fast forwarding through it. There are odd characters I enjoy - Roy, Tracy, David, Nick. It's good to see some longstanding 1980s characters (Rita, Ken, Audrey, Sally, Kev, Gail, Steve, Liz) for nostalgia value. I'm watching it out of habit now. There are some very poor actors in it.

millimat · 10/12/2018 21:34

Just about everything in Bessy Street is absolutely farcical Hmm

millimat · 10/12/2018 21:50

And it's a typical corrie set up - overnight the bump has doubled in size.Shock

Optimist1 · 10/12/2018 21:52

And she's waddling as though her due date is next week! (Remember we had the same issue with Lianne?)

millimat · 10/12/2018 22:09

Exactly!
