The story so far: Scotch egg disaster: monkfish mayhem. Will there be foam, soil, smear and/or crumb?

Now read on.....

Well done, we called it.

Oh Jacqueline darling, rationalise away but you failed because you can't cook.

MrsTommyBanks · 14/11/2018 20:57

Tris tho. Really?

fourquenelles · 14/11/2018 20:58

Jay mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

GrouchyKiwi · 14/11/2018 20:58

Tom PB. Alas.

See you tomorrow, lovelies.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 14/11/2018 20:58

Let's see how the impress the critics

Fare ye well until the morrow

MrsTommyBanks · 14/11/2018 20:58

As ever, thank you lovelies.
See you tomorrow Flowers

ilovesooty · 14/11/2018 20:59

Enjoy tomorrow folks. I'm working late so will have to watch on catch up. Envy

SchadenfreudePersonified · 14/11/2018 20:59

Tris is least worst of a bad bunch MrsTommy

whatashower · 14/11/2018 21:00

Off topic Ilovesooty every time you post I subconsciously make Sweep noises.

Sorry about that.

I think Marcus would be happy to have Sooty and Sweep replace Gregg.

Pencilmuseum · 14/11/2018 21:01

What's our stance on jay Rayner? Fundamentally ambivalent?

Wolfcub · 14/11/2018 21:02

I love Jay

GrouchyKiwi · 14/11/2018 21:03

I find him a little bit grubby, but not in a hot way like Aragorn.

fourquenelles · 14/11/2018 21:04

I love Jay too. I saw him once across a field at Latitude festival. He was too far away to lick Sad

Shirleyphallus · 14/11/2018 21:05

I find him weirdly like a very sexy pirate. Like I’d be alight with him making me walk the plank but him lasciviously whispering in my ears in shades of disgust about overcooked porks cheek and the perils of pea foam

Wolfcub · 14/11/2018 21:06

Ah thank god Shirley there is hope for you

SchadenfreudePersonified · 14/11/2018 21:09

Wouldn't we all!

I find him weirdly like a very sexy pirate

Me an;' all Shirley. He's nothing to look at, but there's something strangely primal about him . . .

jay55 · 14/11/2018 21:12

I'd feed Jay all day and all night.

RomaineCalm · 14/11/2018 21:19

I love Jay but he's second to Marcus.

  1. Marcus ❤️❤️❤️
  2. Jay ❤️❤️
  3. John T

I have a thing for Jay Rayner but mostly for his marvellous vocabulary and gift for a bon mot. Some classic reviews 😀

SchadenfreudePersonified · 14/11/2018 22:11

shower

You little star!

And yes - it's the Rayner wit and personality that does it.

whatashower · 14/11/2018 22:20

Its old but definitely worth repeating

www.eater.com/2017/4/10/15240702/jay-rayner-le-cinq-review-cats

And Jay discussing that time, quite recently, here

😀

Footle · 15/11/2018 07:17

Thanks, shower. The things that pass me by!

Pencilmuseum · 15/11/2018 09:23

What I like about Sooty is he know when to keep quiet.
Glad to hear Shirley is dropping the pro Gregg propaganda. I might consider cancelling the hit I'd arranged with a couple of the tattooed ex-con contestants who were keen to give him tips on shiv skills. I also quite like Jay's brutally ascerbic style. He is not always sound though. A few questionable points made on "kitchen cabinet". Cannot understand Marcus' appeal. He is no silver fox.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 15/11/2018 09:39

Funnything Pencil - I used to think Marcus was attractive, but now I don't.

Hr's not repulsive, but I wouldn't try to find the key to squoosh's cellar or anything.
