Wow! Got a little messianic there, what with the flying doctor.

But jack becoming the Face of Bo is a brilliant touch!

Ending was pants -- everyone chanting Doctor? Magic flying David Tennant with magic powers? And no more John Simm.

I think Martha isn't in the Christmas special but is in the next series.

they sat there, open-mouthed (and QUIET for the first time in the series) in amazement at the flying doctor

I was, shall we say, a little more sceptical but we watch it for them really, not me!

But a hard-worked Capt Jack saying "Cuffs" in a masterful voice.....?

Why did Martha Jones have such an important part? I'm not a die-hard fan but I can't remember any other companions doing so much.

Magic flying David Tennant was a pretty lame resolution, but I wouldn't mind one myself.

And Jack had to be the Face of Boe, because he was the only other one who would a)live long enough and b) know that the Doctor wasn't alone.

just watched it loved it...! (taped it as had to put dc's to bed)... but what's going on with martha? is she gone ? or is it just for the chirstmas one? is it because she hasn't cut the mustard? or does she need a break? will she be back for next series? questions questions questions....

Well, yeah, because RTD introduced the FoB, so presumably knew what he was going to do with the character from the get-go.

But the more I think about the resolution, the more I'm disappointed. The Doctor said 'use the countdown', right? Well, how the flippergibbet would Martha know what that meant?

I didn't like her before but she certainly cut the mustard for the last storyline!

And how did the doctor know there was going to be a countdown anyway - or did I miss the Master outlinig his plans for war before Martha left?

I'm glad that Martha Jones finally had a bigger role to play - she was underused for quite a few episodes.

I saw an old episode today for the first time, with Rose, about 'Madame Pompidou'(sp?). Really good episode, glad I finally got to see it.
