Is anyone still watching Grey’s? I thought the opener was supposed to be a two parter but looks like sky witness is only showing one. Grrr. Anyone else excited? I still miss Cristina etc but will always watch!

I love Bailey's tone. The way she said "she's your problem now" when she brought Catherine to the party.

also there was a great one in the ER when a couple came in after attempting sex somewhere stupid and Bailey said "why couldn't they just do it in the parking lot like god intended" or some such. Grin

Loopytiles · 26/03/2019 11:58

Love Bailey: she reminds me v much of my mother! Which makes me pretty lucky.

I would like to go for a limo ride like that one day, would far rather do that than attend a party, although get travel sick so cocktails and burgers may not work for me. Bah.

Dyingforchocolate · 27/03/2019 20:25

Love Bailley, Loopytiles you are very lucky if your mum is like her Smile

I can't work out where Amelia & Owen are going either. I've grown to like her though and I don't think I would like it if he and Teddy ended up together. I was glad they brought Leo back, I did feel a bit emotional at Betty saying she wanted to be a kid, I'm glad she said goodbye to them.

This series has been better than I thought it would have been at the start, but I have literally no idea where they are going with it.

Omzlas · 28/03/2019 22:04

Amelia gets right on my tits, seriously. Teddy too.

What does bug me is the lack of continuity - almost everyone has had surgery of some kind, some major, yet nobody carries a scar.... open heart surgery Callie? Donated part of your liver Mer? Had multiple surgeries after getting electrocuted Richard? Don't worry, it won't leave a scar!

oldowlgirl · 28/03/2019 22:39

The episodes just feel a bit disjointed & meaningless now. I'll stick with it out of loyalty & love for the early seasons but it doesn't feel like it has any heart anymore. Sad

Cherrypi · 29/03/2019 07:41

This week's was a bit dull. We've had ankle as knee before haven't we?

BuzzLightyear1 · 30/03/2019 07:14

Has anyone seen the most recent episode yet? It was difficult watching...
I was convinced Jo was going to discover her and Alex were related somehow!

NotPennysBoat · 30/03/2019 07:58

UK pace @BuzzLightyear1??

BuzzLightyear1 · 30/03/2019 08:02

Sorry 🤦

KateGrey · 30/03/2019 08:13

I love Greys and have watched it to current series twice but I feel its lost some of its freshness. I don’t like Mer and Du’Luca. I miss old Greys but I suppose they’ve all grown up now but I’ll keep watching.

ShadowMane · 30/03/2019 08:27

I'm rewatching season 1, and it's so much grittier

mikado1 · 30/03/2019 08:38

Delighted to spot this thread! Agree that de Luca and Meredith great. Still strongly dislike Alex. Delighted for Jennifer Grey, always feel so sorry for her!

SavageBeauty73 · 04/04/2019 20:08

Maggie is so annoying!!!!!!!!

Brienneoftarthiloveyou · 04/04/2019 22:15

Agreed although did think tonight's episode was better and really like Amelia and whatshisname together.

RosaWaiting · 07/04/2019 11:10

I was disappointed they didn't mention the million other moral issues attached to baby in a bag but I suppose they didn't want a whole lot of press coverage about it.

which then leads me to wonder why they did it at all though!

TerribleTwosPhase · 10/04/2019 19:28

Does anyone else feel like this season isn't really going anywhere? I'll always watch it, I can't see me stopping myself from watching it, but I just feel like it's not really got the same drama to it anymore. DP used to laugh about it when he would come home and I was proper gripped by it or crying like a baby because of it Blush but I just feel like it's not got the same emotion to it anymore!

RosaWaiting · 10/04/2019 19:40

I think they might be splitting between too many characters as well as running out of material.

It is definitely "easier" to watch than the old days with Mer and her mother in the nursing home - god I found that really tough - but also I think if they can't get new characters more established, it will be hard to be more invested.

I would love to follow another big career woman like Cristina but I don't see any sign of any storylines going for big career things now. I thought they might with Jo - which I would find much more interesting than her history - but no.

AfterLaughter · 10/04/2019 19:43

Mer and De Luca are a no, zero chemistry.

I don’t like how Richard reacted to Maggie “outing” his affair with Ellis. Piss off.

When Owen was with Yang I really wanted him with Teddy; but since Amelia I feel he’s better matched with her.

Cherrypi · 12/04/2019 14:06

I loved this week with the maths geekery.

RosaWaiting · 13/04/2019 13:32

those rooms are so good!!

the maths made me laugh.

I did think it was incredibly obvious they needed to check the girl's sudden spike in sugar though - surely the first thing a doc would do would be to look for evidence of anything she might have eaten?!

I like Mer saying she's over waiting around for a man.

I do think there's a lot of filler though...maybe the next series will be the last.

TerribleTwosPhase · 13/04/2019 14:14

Agree I did enjoy this week's episode, I liked the maths Greeks too. But I do think it's a lot of filling the episode and not much of an actual storyline. Never would have paired Amelia with Linc though and I do actually quite like them together.

MrsFionaCharming · 14/04/2019 20:32

There used to be one ‘big event’ every season, a character death / serious injury, big hospital disaster etc, but we haven’t had one in 2 seasons now, since the big fire. They also seem to have fewer patients per week, and less big trauma.

I only noticed because I’ve been rewatching some of the earlier seasons, it’s been such a gradual change.

RosaWaiting · 14/04/2019 22:25

I noticed far less trauma but I suspect they felt people had had enough of that

I just need a hero really - another Cristina, but okay, I don't know how you follow that.

RosaWaiting · 14/04/2019 22:26

or a really major breakthrough. Anyone remember that Bailey was going to cure fistula? Grin

I love Bailey!

neverbee · 14/04/2019 22:38

I think they have less traumas as that was when they were interns and just starting out and battling for the exciting cases. Now they are older they're focussed on their own specialties and settled into routine I guess. Where did Kepner go? I can't remember why/where she went.
